The server was patient and pleasant. I also got complimentary pita bread. The bread and soda were not good. The bread lacked flavor and didn't taste fresh and the soda was flat. The switch from Simple Greek to FRESKO Greek Kitchen has not brought about all good change to what I once considered a filling "go to" for a healthy and delicious Greek meal. The facade has changed, luckily the flavor of the food has not, but less costs much more and the starters here are now posing as the entrees! So, we do what we always do right? Stand in line, order the bowl, rice, chicken, lettuce, blah, blah, blah. Although this is not chipotle, we are expecting that endless supply of fresh ingredients we would always observe at a chipotle, right? Not the scraps at the bottom of the pan. The five green bean halves equate to a serving of green beans? This alone is hardly appealing and quite disappointing. Something is missing, the potato wedges they have provided in the past, apparently that favorite starch has been taken out of the equation, no longer offered. So here I sit with a half empty bowl. I really want to give this spot 4 or 5 stars but I couldn't justify doing so. The staff and customer service was great but I was not hyped up about the food. I opted for the BYO bowl with mixed greens and spinach rice, which both were good but I think the options for toppings were not as plentiful as other restaurants with the same vibe. I do like the fact you can choose two proteins. I just felt the topping options were all over the place. My daughter ordered the same and had the same thoughts. The spanakopita was delicious!! She ordered the Greek fries which were ok but the vinegar through it off a tad and would have been good if it came with a dipping sauce. They cook those fresh so the freshness was great! So glad I tried this spot as I'll definitely be going back. Originally I'd planned on getting a pita, but after seeing the make your own bowl option I went with that. There are so many options! You can pick 1-2 proteins and I chose falafel and traditional gyro. As the base, I got brown rice and greens. The fun part was being able to add as many toppings as you wanted... pickled onions (delish), feta, garbanzo beans, banana peppers, garlic green beans, and kalamata olives. To top it off, there are several sauces to choose from. I picked tzatziki sauce, Greek dressing and spicy pepper (requested they go on the side so I could add how much I wanted). The pepper one was far too hot for me. Side note: I just realized they left my pita bread out. Next time I plan on trying the garlic Greek fries and maybe go wild in getting the baklava cheesecake. This is a build-your-own bowl/salad/sandwich establishment with a wide variety of fillings/toppings. The food is always extremely fresh as well. You first pick a base (salad/veggies, rice, or lentils) and then your choice of protein before moving to your toppings. There are also a variety of sauces and spices to add as well. Make sure to try the Greek Fries as well (So good!). The Greek fries are regular fries with feta cheese and oil. So good! You can also get regular fries as well. No dessert...they have Baklava, but they take it up a notch and have Baklava Cheesecake as well and it is so good! 2 of my favorites combined! The portions are great so you can easily have leftovers, but won't feel guilty because of how healthy and fresh the food is. Definitely a must try, especially if you want to try Greek food. So far, out of all the bowls I've had lately (Guasaca, Mezeh Mediterranean Grill, Jasmin & Olivz Mediterranean & Cava) Fresko is my fav. Now they all are good but Fresko specifically has a hold on me. I've been here at least 3-4 times in the past month and it has not disappointed. For starters this location is located in a plaza with other restaurants so parking can fill up quickly during lunch but dinner time you're fine. Just like all these other places that offer bowls it's pretty much walk up and create your bowl down the line. I started with brown rice as usual then my protein has been lamb every time and sometimes a combination of traditional gyro (lamb) and chicken which can cost $2-$3 extra. After picking my protein I added banana peppers, pico de gallo, green beans, spicy hummus, and feta cheese w/ garlic sauce and or a spicy sauce on the side or on top (your choice). The option of pita bread is always given. Sometimes I grab and go but this time I sat there and ate. The gyro pieces are a nice size and the portion is lovely. If you're like me you can cut the protein up and have even more. I think that's what's been separating all these places. The meat quality. It's so good that I keep coming back. When you factor in the banana peppers, feta, green beans and hummus it's really a bomb bowl hence why I keep coming back. read more

The employees were very polite and friendly. Food was fresh and made quickly if you are looking for a quick healthy lunch stop. My family and I sat outside with our dogs, sat in the corner under the umbrella. Love the shade and the unplanned irrigation system going off while we were eating. It added a laugher and giggles to our lunch date. Grateful the bathrooms were both cleaned AND each bathroom had a changing station. The name changed not long ago (it used to be The Simple Greek), but the food, quality and service are still great! Today, we both ordered the Greek meatball wrap. I chose hummus, kalamatas, red onions, cucumbers and tomatoes on a soft whole wheat wrap. Our wraps came with four decent-sized, tasty, well-spiced meatballs. My friend's Greek fries were delicious, and I liked my side of falafel with tzatziki (loaded with cucumber). During the pandemic, tables are well spaced, all staff are wearing masks and the floors are marked for distancing at the order line. For good reason...folks are loving it! I chose a bowl and because I had heard that you could divide the base, I picked half lentils and half salad (there's also rice). Then you pick your protein. I tried the Grilled Chicken, which is cubes of chicken breast. Next time I'm going for the chicken gyro, which I think will be a little less dry, but the grilled chicken was still good. Then you tell them which of the tantalizing toppings you want added. I loved the roasted red peppers, the quality pitted kalamata olives, tasty green beans, the tomato salad, pickled onions, excellent feta. The Greek dressing is a flavor bomb, and there are so many other items to choose from. Service was so fast, efficient and friendly! I was out the door before I knew it. Cos' Fresko Greek Kitchen in the McNeil Pointe complex is yet another awesome Greek/Mediterranean build-your-own bowl type place that knocks it out of the park with great options and flavors! I got the bowl with falafel, greens, lemon pilaf and a host of other goodies in it like spicy hummus, chickpeas, spicy feta, harissa seasoning and garlic cream to name a few! Soft pita bread included! Woohoo! I wish they had another veggie protein option or two and perhaps the falafel could be a bit crispier but all in all, everything I ate was on point! The unique thing at Fresko in my opinion, are the numerous sides you can nab like the Greek Fries which I got, perfectly seasoned and topped with more Feta! They do love their feta cheese! I wanted so very badly to like this place - everything about it is appealing! I went in a bit late, around 8pm on a Friday, and just about everything was closed up. I ordered a steak salad bowl with hummus and roasted red peppers, and the steak was painfully tough. So I went to counter and asked if there was a different protein I could get that was fresh, or at least more than the steak, and they gave me a cup of chicken. The chicken was a bit dry, but there was a ton of fat, so I had to pick my way around it and that wasn't pleasant. The salad lettuce portion was also quite small and considering I didn't have much protein, I was hoping for more. The bowl was about $10 after tax. All this said, I probably wouldn't want to return, especially later in the evening, because I was disappointed in more ways than one. read more
