I will definitely be back next time they come back to the Vic. I believe they play there on a monthly basis. Service was great as usual. Our waiter (I believe his name is Jason) was super friendly and the waitress who was not serving our table but who remembered us from last time is also very friendly. Food was very tasty. Their Margherita pie is delicious ($13.95 for the large pie) and so is their fries with cheese ($3.95 for the small one which served 2 people well). I paid $10 for a pitcher of beer and my wife $6 for a glass of wine (which they refilled and didn't charge). I wish more people knew about this place because it was a great Friday night, great weather but there wasn't a lot of people there. No but it is a free entrance. I came here on a Monday and it was pretty quiet with little crowds. They had a children's museum and several veterans buildings. Most of them were closed due to their hours being only on weekends. Our main goal was to visit the Chinese temple. There aren't visible signs so we got lost for almost 20 minutes, hiking through unnecessary dirt. Once found, it was unfortunately closed! It was such a bummer. There is one food place in the entire garden but I felt it was pricey and opted to eat in the city. Would I return? Probably not but i can see if someone wants to relax at a park to read a book and free of the NYC noise then this is your park! Best to wear sneakers here, you will WALK! They did have beautiful flowers that I spotted throughout.

The staff member who assisted us, Saya, came across noticeably less welcoming and accommodating toward our group compared to other guests around us. All three of us left feeling uncomfortable due to the way we were treated throughout our visit. That said, the ambiance was absolutely beautiful, and the space itself has so much potential for a great dining or coffee experience. If the customer service was at the same level of care as the atmosphere and coffee, this easily could have been a place we'd return to regularly and recommend to friends.
