Kale salad with pecans and shaved Parmesan plus crab cake
Richard S.

As we say goodbye to friends before heading North, we had dinner with a long time friend who loves Shore. Shore remains the perfect setting for the key and the vibe is upscale; not to mention the food and drinks are great as well. Great water views, cool ambiance, nice drinks and food all equal a guaranteed nice dining experience. Reservations strongly recommended given its popularity.

This is how we got there

Arrived by boat. Great service and a wonderful menu. I targeted the Grouper, why not when in Florida. Calamari appetizer was gigantic and delicious. Shrimp Ceviche & Guac made a nice presentation and tasted great. All of our entrees were perfectly prepared and delicios. The restaurant has the views and and beautiful deck for outside seating. Nice bar menu with lots of tropical drinks. Good price/value relationship. Fun vibe overall in a beatiful part of the world. Very focused, not to big menu, usually points to consistent quality across almost all of their appetizers and entrees. When I see the small menu it makes me happy because it is going to be good. Excellent price/value relationship.

I wish this restaurant with the same view was where I lived! Phenomenal serene and beautiful atmosphere right on the water with large glass windows so you could sit inside and enjoy the magnificent water view. For people who have boats, you can also arrive by boat. All of the food was delicious and most things were able to be made gluten free and even items that most restaurants can't do gluten free and this is NOT a gluten free restaurant. We started with a ceviche appetizer that came with guacamole and freshly homemade corn tortilla chips which was was so fresh. My husband had the pan seared local snapper entree and I had the Hawaiian big eye tuna mignon which came with shrimp risotto, yellow tomato and bok choy in a lobster buerre blanc. For dessert we shared a piece of key lime pie that was also gluten free and I had the Oaxaca to drink. Service was fabulous as well.

Beautiful location right on the water. Unfortunately, the food and service did not live up to the beauty of the restaurant. It took a while for drinks to arrive and service just felt slow throughout the entire evening. For apps, the calamari was delicious and unique from typical calamari with the addition of the cabbage and Thai flavors. I ordered the beet salad with salmon as my entree- I was quite disappointed with the few number of beets, only one bite of goat cheese, and bland salmon slapped on the side. The lettuce was quite dry, but once I asked for a side of the herb vinaigrette, it was delicious! The pepper crusted salmon entree was very good.

Thought it was going to be nicer than it was. The calamari was tasty but bothered my stomach later. The burger was awful. Barely any beans. I tried to cut it and it was super stretchy, no idea what they used as a binder. Flavor was super overpowered by caramelized onions. Had to get a reservation but yet the place wasn't full. Tons of staff though. Overpriced and not worth it.

Truffle fries

Extremely disappointed. Shore has always been one of our favorite restaurants, which is why we chose it to celebrate my daughter's birthday. Unfortunately, the entire experience--from the service to the food--was unacceptable. We started with the truffle fries, which we usually love, but there was absolutely no truffle flavor. We sent them back, only to have the exact same fries returned--still no truffle. The entrées were even worse. My husband ordered the ribs, which smelled and tasted spoiled. He ended up only eating the salad on the side. I ordered the shrimp pasta special, and the pasta was completely undercooked and hard. I had both my husband and daughter try it to be sure I wasn't crazy, and they both agreed. When I informed the waitress, she removed only the shrimp from the top of the dish and placed it back in front of me. There was no offer to remake the dish or provide a replacement. When I explained that the pasta was undercooked, she dismissively replied, "If you didn't like the way it tasted, you won't like it if we replace it," and repeated the same response when I told her it wasn't the taste but that it wasn't cooked properly . Her attitude was rude, unprofessional, and completely inappropriate from the get go. At that point, my daughter's birthday celebration was ruined, and we chose to leave and have dessert elsewhere. The best thing about the experience was the valet. I don't know what has happened to Shore, but the drop in food quality and service is alarming. I truly hope management takes this feedback seriously and gets things back on track.

If you're looking for a 5 star all around experience from the perfect intimate waterfront ambiance, attentive service, and mouthwatering food, look no further! The herb and shallot goat cheese served as part of the artisanal bread and spread stood out with its savory flavors and creamy texture. We enjoyed the fresh, bold flavors of the black pepper crusted Faroe Island salmon and the pan seared snapper. I particularly enjoyed the crispy yet creamy arancini rice cake and citrus butter with my snapper. The blood orange margarita was refreshingly delightful and I enjoyed more than one! With the beautiful views and excellent food and drink, I certainly felt I was where I was meant to be...if only I could stay!

Everything about this place is just fantastic. From the food to the setting, it's fantastic. Whenever we're in the area it's a must go on our list.

Great spot! Came here on a bachelorette with a large group and it was perfect! They sat us outside near the water, promptly brought us waters and greeted us. We started with drinks and a bottle of champagne for the bride which was brought in a wine chiller to keep it cold, they made sure none of our drinks never ended up empty. We ordered a ton of different things and everyone had marvelous things to say! The scallops & risotto, Pork chop, salad with steak, grouper, and a few other items. Everything tasted fresh, was brought to our table promptly and made sure we had everything we needed! Will definitely be back when down in siesta key again!

I enjoy this restaurant each and every time I dine here! Love the vibe of this place. There's a beautiful store with gorgeous items like jewelry and beach wear attached. The food is wonderful. Service staff are all impeccably amazing at helping you choose a good selection off of the menu. Cocktails are equally fabulous. Looking out the oversized picture windows is like being outside and right on the water. You shouldn't miss this one, check it out for sure.

This waterfront restaurant impresses beyond the view -- the food is fresh with an Asian flair. The calamari appetizer with cabbage salad is a must, the deboned Bronzino was fabulous, and the Asian-style St. Louis spare ribs were delicious. Five stars.

Great meal and wonderful views. We loved our experience at Shore. Service was great and we had awesome dishes. Perfect place to celebrate an anniversary or special occasion.

Corvina in citrus curry sauce
Jeremy B.

If I could give a review of 10 out of 5 I would. This place was impeccable. As soon as you walk in, you have the view of the ocean. There was a walkable pier to watch the sunset. The chef deserves a Michelin star. He mixed some fresh ingredients and created the most amazing food ever. The calamari had an Asian twist to it and it was amazing. The tomato soup was nice and thick with goat cheese *chefs kiss*. The corvina laid perfectly in a bed of citrus curry and served with a warm delicious sticky rice that paired perfectly with the fish. Im not sure if it's safe to say that the ravioli was my favorite because they were all excellent in different ways. It was creamy, warm and with lots of crab

If you're comparing to a top ranked seafood restaurant in Miami or Tampa, look elsewhere. The prices were fair and I would probably go back there if I were in town again. The only weird part was the service. It was great for the first 45 minutes and then the waitress just literally disappeared. Absolutely -- corrected version:…read more The Doctor's Office was one of those meals where everything we ordered was memorable. Such a cool concept, but more importantly, the food and drinks absolutely delivered. We started with the Lobstercargots -- chunks of lobster baked in herbed garlic butter and served with fresh-baked focaccia for dipping. Forget escargot; this is the way to do it. The bread soaking up that garlic butter might have been worth the trip by itself. The Bistro Blue Tomato Soup was fantastic. Rich, smooth and full of flavor, with the signature syringe of Grey Goose. "Goose the soup!" Great presentation and even better soup. For the main course, the Famous Bistro Bouillabaisse was outstanding. Lobster tail, Gulf shrimp, grouper, mussels and clams in a saffron tomato broth, with more fresh-baked bread for dipping. Beautiful dish and absolutely delicious. And then there's the Street Corn Named Desire cocktail made with butter-washed tequila. What a drink! The street-corn garnish and seasoned rim make it one of the most creative cocktails I've had in a long time -- and it tastes as good as it looks. The Doctor's Office manages to be fun and clever without the concept overshadowing the food. Excellent meal, creative cocktails and great attention to detail. Definitely a place we'll come back to.
