First time eating here, the seafood Mac and cheese is phenomenal and the crab cake sandwich tastes like it came from a 5 star restaurant.

Ask the Community - Shore Bites

Just saw your business on TV. Have you thought about coming to neighborhoods during dinner times and pre- announcing where you will be. I would be all in with hitting up a food truck for dinner vs.cooking. Is that possible for you?

We just did our first neighborhood outing two weeks ago, it was a blast! Turned into a block party. Definitely want to do it again!

They opened up about a month or so ago. I live about 80 min away from Cape Charles. So I generally I plan a day trip to visit. My kiddos and I had a Monday trip this week. I was worried they may not be open since sometimes Monday's are a day businesses close to recover from the summer weekend rush. But, they were open! When we arrived we headed straight back to where they are located inside of Table & Tonic.... Super cute store by the way. They still had a pretty good selection around 12:30pm. We picked up some sandwiches, chips, pasta salad, soda and their homemade desserts. They have a whole self checkout system set up. You bag it, and pay for it all on your own. They have plastic wear and condiment packets if needed. The male there (assuming owner) was great. He was attentive and helped a customer chose their sandwich... which ended up being the chicken salad. The sandwiches were fantastic! Fresh and tasty! My favorite was The Virginia. It was like a chicken Caesar salad on focaccia. The bread was perfect, not hard at all. My children raves about the chicken salad sandwich. Their two pasta salad options are a perfect accompaniment to the sandwiches. One is a creamy base and the other is more of an oil and vinegar type of base. Both were absolutely delicious! The salads looked fresh and the homemade desserts were a sweet bonus to everything. I do wish there is lighter options, as tthey do not weigh so heavy on the stomach for the beach. Other than that everything is wonderful and keep up the great work! You will go places for sure!

We tried the Mason and the Shore Thing. They were both cold, fresh, and delicious. The staff were friendly and happy to answer my question about the sauces on the sandwiches. HOWEVER WE HAVE FAILED OUR YOUTH!…read moreMy experience this evening was nothing short of I had walked through the doors and had entered another planted another world. Happy as I was to notice that they were not busy was very short-lived. I will refer to these employees as infant #1 and infant #2. Infant #1 tried to take my order three times. She asked me to repeat it because she didn't understand perhaps. I don't know the reason she asked me three times to repeat my order. But once she repeated it back incorrectly I finally threw my hands up and asked her if she spoke English & understood English. Finally, an older young man who I believe was running the show. Asked infant #1 to step to the back, and that he would take care of my order, which was an extremely simple order of which he managed to understand on the first take. Onto infant #2 who was dressing my sandwiches. She looked at me and moved her lips. I asked her if she was speaking, and she nodded yes. I did not hear a single sound come from her lips. I proceeded to explain how I wanted my sandwiches made. Of course she didn't know the difference between sweet peppers and hot peppers. She also dressed the sandwiches with four little bitty pieces of jalapeños. I did ask her to place a few more jalapeños on the sandwiches, which she was able to do. These poor infants could not even speak they didn't have any social skills whatsoever, I have no idea how they even passed an interview process. If Jersey Mike's had been busy, I cannot imagine the fallout of these two infants. The last thing that I want to be is rude and mean , nobody needs that extra karma on their plate. But a person can only take but so much. To the two infants if you ever see this post, I am truly sorry that I made you upset and I am also sorry that we adults failed you in basic life skills.

Service ok though you have to make sure that you get what you paid for sometimes they leave out the chips that you order many times you asked for extra meat or extra vegetables and they don't do it so now we have been asking them to open them up when we go pick them up just make sure that we get what we ordered. As far as the ambience there is none it's a fast food restaurant. I do believe we're gonna drop the app because of the bread change too bad.

Their menu was quite large, with hot dogs, cold subs, hot sandwiches, and paninis listed. They also feature a couple soups daily. When we went, they had a loaded baked potato soup and a lobster bisque. The young girl working the front was very happy and helpful and gave some good suggestions too. The place is quaint, with several tables and lots of historic signs on the walls. We started with their baked potato soup - The overall flavor was nice. But the potatoes in it were rubbery, like they used the wrong type of potato or maybe over-cooked it. Also, the soup was just warm, far from being served hot. Next up were the sandwiches - I chose the BBQ chicken sandwich, which had thinly sliced chicken breast on it, along with BBQ sauce, mayo, and onions. The sandwich was pressed, like a panini and was pretty good. I liked the smokiness of the BBQ sauce. I also got a bottle of their homemade root beer and it was pretty good. They serve Route 11 potato chips, which are my favs! So, I had to pick up a bag of Mama Zuma for later - those things are spicey, hot, and tasty! Overall, it's a nice spot, I can see them being a popular lunch spot downtown.
