I have to give a shoutout to this ShopRite location for the variety of gluten-free items. The store was extremely organized, and the amount of gf options were awesome/appreciated. While shopping, I was able to find several brands I haven't seen at other stores. They also had a decent selection of baked goods in the refrigerator and some freezer items that have become increasingly difficult for me to find. Visited on two separate trips to the area recently, and was very pleased with the selections and pricing. I have to point out in particular that the whole rotisserie chickens cooked on site, are by far the two best rotisserie chickens I've ever purchased from a supermarket - actually even quite a bit better than the offerings at the specialty chicken restaurant I used to order from in my old neighborhood in Manhattan. I imagine ShopRite brines them, because the breast meat is so tender and juicy, even after being warmed up for leftovers a couple of days later. That aside, great selection of cheeses, deli meats, and baked goods, and a good selection of vegetables and other staples. read more

Nicest supermarket in the area and I never had a problem. This supermarket sells everything and their fish department is pretty good. They never have an issue with anything out of stock. Like every market you still have to check for expiration dates but this one is pretty good read more

How is this location rated 3 stars? This is a best case scenario for a super market- it's large with ample parking, never too crowded, and great selection. They have a small selection of organic produce and chicken, but it's there. Go on Wednesday for half price sushi. read more

Management take notice... there is a huge disparity in your employees. Some are knowledgeable, helpful and to be commended however some need to be fired. Watching a group of 3 workers sitting 20 feet from the entrance smoking, spitting and tossing cigarette butts is disgusting. Some of the newer cashiers need to learn the word THANK YOU, and look you in the eye as well as pay attention to the transactions rather than discussing their last date with another worker and giving off a definite sense that your presence is a bother to them. Since my last review they've improved their customer service measurably EXCEPT in the deli section. It's a crapshoot, there are a few workers who are quick, efficient and personable. Today it was different, looked like they hired zombies. Slow, incredibly slow. I only recognized 1 young lady who worked 3 times faster than the zombies, she's been there awhile, hopefully she's paid more! read more

Only if you don't want to drive far. This shop rite needs a major attitude makeover. The employees behave like a clique. Chatty and friendly to each other and can be found found in groups ignoring customers. Stockers block aisles. Cashiers never make eye contact never mind talk to you. The Good : The staff is generally quite congenial. Prices are normal and sometimes there are some great sales. The Bad : The layout can be confusing and counterintuitive (3 different possible aisles to find different brands of salsa - healthy, international, and chips aisle). The Ugly : You know what's disappointing? Getting excited by a recipe, lovingly writing all the ingredients down, only to find 4 - 5 ingredients into your procurement at Shoprite that they're out of stock of a common to semi-common ingredient. Fresh or jarred ginger, bean sprouts, peanut butter (not organic), chicken breasts, all items that extinguished my meal plans. Sheila said it best "the store is larger but the selection is smaller." It always feels like an epic adventure instead of just "going down quickly to the store to pick up some food." Not quite the experience I'm looking for while grocery shopping. read more

Always an issue lately: moldy onion (see photo), incorrect labeling between tangerines and blood oranges, poultry often unavailable beyond massive vacuum-sealed bags, basic items like non-organic peanut butter and ginger are often out of stock, it seems. Additionally, deli section moves very slow and despite an in-store kiosk staff doesn't seem to pay attention to it. Deli is the worst I have ever experienced in any store I've been to in 36 years. Slow, and employees ignore waiting customers while they joke and talk amongst themselves. Mgmt at this store is terrible, they don't know what customer service means. If they had any real competition in the area they would be out of business. More recently during the pandemic they were even worse, rude and condescending to customers. Changing their rules daily , making people wait in lines to get into the store in the cold while they have a large indoor area they could have used. Btw the other supermarket in Warwick was much better during the pandemic, didn't treat their customers like animals. During the pandemic I know drive all the way to the Walmart in Monroe to get things the price chopper doesn't have just to avoid going to the crappy shop rite. read more

Yesterday I got a call from the "Shop at home " department. They were advising me they were running late. My time slot was 4:30 to 5:00. It was 3:15 and they haven't even started my order and they advised they would call me when they start it. At 4:20 I still didn't get a call so I called them to cancel. They young lady apologized and was fairly nice but gave no reason for this failure to get my order together for pick up. I walk in the store and peered into the "Shop at Home" department only to see some employees on their cell phone and talking. Why offer a service if you can't perform your job? There wasn't one manager in sight. If I was the manager of a store that size, I would have rolled up my sleeves and jumped in to help. I was shopping in the Warwick store today, Saturday 6/8/19 at 5:00 PM to buy a few things. When I went to checkout both express lanes were closed and the lines were 4 deep. I was told I would have to use self checkout which I refuse to do since you don't offer a discount for me checking out my stuff and pass on a portal of the labor savings. I then went to the courtesy counter to ask them to check out my purchases which the counter clerk graciously did. I asked why weren't the express lanes opened and she said the manager encourages self checkout and has limited hours for express. Who the heck is this "manager"? He obviously knows nothing about customer service. Is this how Shoprite treats their customers where they refuse to even take their money. How's does he treat senior citizens and the disabled who can't use self checkout? This "manager" should either be re-retrained or find another line of work. Disgraceful!!! read more

Don't have a lot of complaints except for their appetizing section. I usually come early in the morning. The service there is terrible. Today I saw at least 3 employees go in the back of the appetizing area with one out front. The gentleman before me had quite a few items to get. I must have been waiting more than 20 minutes before someone else came out to ask for my order. By that time the customer before me was just finishing up. Most of my time tends to be taken up in appetizing not because there are a lot of people there, but because I found that the staff basically ignores you. read more

It baffles me how they sell AWFUL produce and meats in the middle of Warwick. We've found ourselves traveling far just to buy decent groceries. Staff generally friendly and we were happy with birthday cakes in the past but Shoprite is just falling behind the times. We want better ingredients not spoiling produce and tough poultry. read more

The Shop from Home dept has gone downhill. I've been using this department for 10 plus years. A few weeks ago was my last order - the manager on duty wouldn't give me a refund for two potatoes on a $300 + order. (The potatoes were not the ones I ordered) She said we need them back and I'd have to drive there. (That has NEVER been their policy - I've always been granted a refund and asked to keep the item) I told her I paid a delivery fee and the driver should come back and pick them up. She said that wasn't possible. We had a heated exchange on the phone. My husband out of anger drove there and went to the courtesy counter. The main manager of the store shook his head and apologized. He said you didn't need to drive here. The manager in the shop from home dept needs better training and a lesson on customer service. I think her name was "Mel". After this experience we started doing our orders with Sparta Shoprite. So much better! Drivers are actually employed by Shoprite and not a 3rd party. I get less substitutions and out of stocks which tells me these shoppers actually know how to find things!! Sorry Warwick - we are done. You can thank "Mel" read more

Three employees gabbing away while a crowd formed and only one employee (Dolores) scrambling to pick up the slack. Once again the deli fails to impress. It amazes me that nobody is trained how to slice prosciutto properly. At over $20 per pound I expect the job to be at least decent. Instead I get 2 and a half ( i think, kind of hard to tell) mangles slices per full deli sheet. That's really expensive deli paper. asked for thin and this is thicker than the standard slice of American cheese for burgers. Not the first time either. Just don't bother. Nice remodel, however, one particular deli clerk always weighs the cold cuts first. Puts it in a bag and then weighs it in the bag charging more. Need to be trained better to know this is a violation. Also, with the remodel several products were discontinued. When I asked about getting these very simple items back, they reluctantly had me fill out a request form and told I would be contacted. With no surprise, I never was. Our family has been shopping at Shoprite for just under 20 years. The store has been updated and has evolved over the years, and as a customer who notices the little things as much as the big things, I wanted to say thank you. It's a great store, well managed, fun to shop in, and hub of activity in our community. As a review of the store, I wouldn't even know where to begin - it's such a big operation, with so many interconnected parts to the machine so I'll just shoot high and low on this review. The things we love: the food selection; the fresh bakery; the fresh fruit and vegetables; the staff - many of whom have been there for many years which is always a great sign for any business; the updates that they do to the facility; the Shoprite app which lets you scan and bag while you shop, and then do a one shot checkout (no idea why more people don't use that); the managers - they always look a bit harried and fearful when you approach them, but if you say something nice or funny, their demeanor changes in a heartbeat and they're always helpful. I could go on forever, especially around individual staff who own their areas (especially in the meat and bakery sections - not just helpful, but they take pride in their areas). Now, for the flip side - things we don't love: the announcements on the loudspeaker are so bad as to be comical; the music (although a personal choice, they seem to be stuck in a late 80's/early 90's time warp on a good day); the store doesn't have those little carts that helps kids learn how to shop and make the store enjoyable; if you really look up along the top of the aisles - above the reach of most people - there's a variety of junky product that shouldn't be in a store as nice as Shoprite that prides itself on meeting regulatory standards in the food, but not in the other areas. But most importantly, I'm writing this review as I love to shop here and wanted to say thank you - during the Covid 19 nightmare, so many people are working so hard to help us put food on our tables, and the staff and management at Shoprite deserves a big thanks for all they do for us. read more

I love shopping at this store. They always have shelves stocked and plenty of cashiers to check you out. The prepared food section and the bakery selection is great. The butcher is helpful and has no problem making special cuts or requests. I am not a fish eater so I can not comment on that department. The deli department needs much improvement. The selection is great, but the workers are horrible. They are slow and talk among themselves about inappropriate things. The on line orders are never done by the time they say they will be. I really wish management would change this so that I can give it 5 stars. read more

This supermarket is waaaaay better than Acme in Vernon. Fresh, clean produce, meats that are cut correctly, are the right color, and actually taste good. Shelves are always stocked with undamaged boxes and cans. And props to whoever chooses the music on Sunday mornings - we now enjoy the weekly shopping!! read more

We waited through months of a shopper challenging remodel in the hopes that the new store would be better. Alas, the store is larger but the selection is smaller. Many items that are a regular on my shopping list are no longer carried. The produce section is no better, the organic section seems smaller. Many items are moved and difficult to find. Most shoppers are wandering around with a bewildered look in their eyes looking in vain at the signs at the top of the aisles. What is new and "improved" is the ready-to-eat and prepared foods section. Just when most consumers are looking to more healthy eating habits, Shoprite offers them more fat, sugar and salt..which by the way, sells. It looks like I'll just have to continue my shopping expeditions to New Jersey to get a large selection of healthy foods. read more

My first time ordering on line and what a nightmare. Every time time I reserved a time slot I ended up losing it because I did not check out in time. ShopRite then explained to me the processed and advised me they need 6 hours from the time I checkout to process order so they don't fall behind. Well 3 hours later I get a call telling me they are falling behind and my order will not be ready on my reserved time but an hour later. What an NIGHTMARE.
