I decided to do a quick search to see if options have improved since a lot of the shops around here are only open 3-4/week. Calculated Confections popped up as being recently opened. The interior is clean with a small seating area. The owner came out to greet me and shared that she was working in the finance industry for 20 years before deciding to branch out and start her own business, hence the name Calculated Confections. Every day she posts a math problem on the blackboard and awards a baked goodie to the first few customers who can solve the equation. She had a nice selection of brownies with or without nuts, g-free and egg free chocolate chip cookies, oatmeal cookies, scones, rolls, cupcakes, cheesecakes, cannolis, and cake slices. My parents split the chocolate cake while I had the red velvet cupcake and a chocolate chip cookie that I won from solving the math problem. They liked how the cake wasn't too sweet and was moist. The cookie was very good and the icing on the red velvet was good but the actual cupcake was missing something - it was still good, just lacking that classic red velvet flavor.
