(1) Shoppers World is a chain of department store. As of today, January 4, 2019, there are 10 of them in New York and new Jersey. This partucular Shoppers World is conveniently located by the Flushing avenue subway station in the East Williamsburg area of Brooklyn, New York. (Between this subway station and Morgan subway station, there are more than half dozens of thrift/vintage/antique shops including the Urban Jungle thrift store, which I visit now and then.)
(2) This Shippers World has three floors of a variety of common and popular merchandises. It was clean, open, and brightly lighted. This is, in my opinion, a very good place to find what you need for your daily life and for your home, generally speaking. Some of the items are so amazingly cheap despite their high quality. In December, the place was literally flooded with the festive Christmas items and gift items.
(3) MY SHOPPING REPORT: I visited this Shoppers World for purchasing my long john bottom. This is because both the Target department store and another department store on the floor above in a giant building by the Jay Street - MetroTech subway station (downtown Brooklyn, New York) did NOT have my size or anything less than $10. What they sell were all over $15.
The set (top and bottom) of the men's long john sold at this Shoppers World are all about $6.99 - $7.99. The sale person was not helpful for deciding which one should fit for my size. So, I bought L size ($6.99) like I usually do in Japan. Unfortunately I decided to return this to a bigger size, after receiving suggestions from my Japanese friend. The item was not opened yet and I had the purchase receipt for it. So, I went back to the store for exchange this to XL or XXL size. At the end I chose XXL so that I can wear it more comfortably. (See my photos of the item with my memo.) The cashier lady was happily exchanged the item for me. I paid $1 for my newly exchanged merchandise ($7.99). The new receipt was clearly stamped "Final sale. No exchange or refund." for this time.
The place is huge and you must walk around or use the stairs/elevator to navigate your shopping needs. Nevertheless, this is a good department store to know and shop when you visit this area.
