I don't enjoy coming to this target. If I can I will try to make the trek out to the one at Dekalb. It feels like no one wants to be here not even the employees. This target has what it needs to stock: clothes, beauty items, snacks. There's even a Starbucks inside and a restroom. It's well maintained but all the beauty items are consistent locked away and then you have to find someone to help you. It's a little inconvenient. read more

Not impressed. What worked? The merchandise was delivered to pick up on time. The pick up line moved super quick. What could improve your experience. I'm not impressed with the set up of the store. I assume beauty products secured by ropes and cables to limit access serves its purpose. I didn't find it convenient. I was seeking assistance I found no one, I had to go back to pick up. Pretty big store easy to get to and thankfully they still have self check out machines which make shopping easier

I've been to this Target locationa generous amount of times for various items (household products, groceries, etc.). I usually don't have a hard time locating items without the help of the staff. The store is kept organized overall. The real issue here which can be improved are the checkout lines. They usually wrap around the corner and are not appropriately supervised. Most people enter the "10 items or less" self checkout line with more than 10 items. The lines move relatively slow. I've witnessed a customer get into a verbal altercation with one of the employees at the self checkout kiosk. I'm glad that I'm able to find lots of essentials here but the customer service could be better. read more

The store was great except I went into a fitting room and got stuck. I tried to yell but nobody answered and when I called my husband they did not let him in because it was closing time. One of the workers came in and I asked her for help and she told me she would get help but never came back. Unfortunately it is currently almost three in the morning and I am still stuck! I love the selection at this target. It is always packed because it is in Atlantic mall. I love that there is a parking garage across from Target. If you don't drive don't worry the taxis are lined up outside or call an Uber. The service is relatively good and the associates are willing to help. The value for what you pay is decent. I am absolutely appalled by the customer service from a Target employee (who was new) and the third-party vendor employees in Target's electronics/mobile department. I met my friend after work, who was intending to purchase the Meta glasses. He had already visited another Target, where he was told they were out of stock and directed to the Atlantic Mall location, which supposedly had three available. When I arrived, my friend was upset with how he was treated by a Target employee (male, red shirt, medium-long hair) and a third-party vendor employee (glasses, female, a bit chunky). I witnessed the interaction when he asked to see the Meta glasses on display. The male Target employee had the audacity to speak in a condescending tone, saying, "Those are just empty boxes." I felt a surge of anger at his disrespectful behavior. My friend, remaining calm, attempted to explain to the young lady with glasses (the third-party vendor employee) that she was showing him the wrong item. She and the male Target employee were dismissive and aggressive, which further frustrated him. He asked to speak with a manager, and the young lady retorted, "Well, I don't work for Target, so you can speak with a manager here." This was unacceptable; we clearly needed to address this situation with the Target and vendor managers. After a wait of about 5-10 minutes, another employee arrived to mediate. When the male Target employee returned, he gave my friend an unsettling glare. My friend then pointed out the poor attitude of the third-party vendor employee, emphasizing that in his own program, none of his employees would treat customers like that. She ignored him, absorbed in her phone. Both employees had a tendency to talk "at" my friend rather than "to" him, which is completely unacceptable. Ultimately, we met with an Executive Team Leader (ETL) who was professional and genuinely helpful. She led us to the display with the Meta glasses and made an effort to assist us, although they did not have the type or color my friend wanted. She mentioned that we could fill out a survey if we had made a purchase. Additionally, she acknowledged that there was a significant miscommunication between the vendor and Target and that the male employee (new employee) had a history of complaints regarding his attitude. It's incredibly frustrating to encounter such poor customer service when all we wanted was quality assistance. I will be filing a formal complaint with Target because it infuriates me when employees act as if they are doing customers a favor, all while displaying a negative attitude and lack of knowledge. This is one of the best Targets in New York City, not as crowded as the one in Queens Place, which I mainly go to with the long lines to self checkout. I like this location better because there is more products in stock for pickup compared to other locations that are always sold out and require shipping to home. This location is inside the Atlantic Terminal mall with 2 levels. They have a lot of $1, $3, and $5 goodies by the entrance and is stocked with a lot of household items and groceries. More baby products and clothing choices compared to the smaller Targets. The only bad thing is some of the Universal Thread and A New Day clothes especially the stylish ones are always sold out when it comes to the small size so then you have to resort to shipping if they're still in stock online. This location has the Target bullseye dog pajamas and stuffed animals that are very cute and tempting to buy but luckily since I need to save some dough I will save it for next time! Bathrooms and a Starbucks are available in this location! Many self checkout kiosks too for fast seamless checkout. read more

I went in last night for the same item I went for last week. It's still not on the shelf of the location it was supposed to be. Last week I was helped by a nice man in electronics (since the location of the item is next to electronics and the Nintendo games) and he went into the back and got the item for me, but last night I didn't get that customer service. The two men in electronics direct me to where the item was, I told them it isn't there and last week another employee got the item for me from the back, the Target app says there's 5 left and showed them my phone. These two employees told me "we don't work in the toy section, if it's not there, we don't have it" ok? So why don't you find someone to help me then? There's nobody around. They would try and argue with you. I said "ok thank you" and I walked away. I'm not going to argue. Terrible customer service. People have jobs and want jobs but want to get paid doing NOTHING. Wow! Talk about clean, sanitized and lovely. Customer was okay and I only came across one rude sales person but I usually give stores a one grumpy person pass, not everyone can be too happy. The store is just nothing like I've seen. They had a system for your cart to go up and down the levels, I'm sure these have been around for years but yup my first time seeing them. Even took a picture of it in awe (creepy tourist alert). I know people probably thought I was special taking a picture of technology. Food section had everything you could need, bread, sandwich meat, cereal, milk, frozen foods it was like a little market, this concept is totally needed in NY. The store was super clean and we had no wait. They do sell cute face masks. They also use all COVID19 precautions. So if you're one of the few to hate wearing a mask, order your things online so you aren't filmed during a meltdown, masks are required. Nice store guys! read more

I haven't been here in YEARS AND definitely haven't been in the parking lot for even longer like a decade. DID YOU KNOW- that's parking is $45 after and hour and a half bc of the Barclays. I - hightailed it out if there so fast!! Found street parking after spinning block a few times and went in for a nice little walk around target with my sister and her 11month old. Yes we got Starbucks first lol but it was from the one outside the little reserve special edition fancy one that I didn't have time to add to Yelp. Target was cool I found Uno cards and I mean the real Uno cards. She got pampers and toilet tissue and random house stuff she needed like groceries. It wasn't the same from when I moved away 8 years ago but it wasn't bad at all. Clean and workers in every square inch of the store who could ask for more. Bathrooms were not as unpleasant as I recall. Good job everyone. I would return if I was I the area and needed something. For sure. read more

This target is always a crowded mess, even in the pandemic and they really don't do any limitations to how many people can be in there at once. You regularly see folks with their masks under their noses and overall this is one of my least favorite places to go during the pandemic right now. Unfortunately, it's necessary as it's the closest CVS pharmacy to me and that's at least a perk. The lines are super long, but if you have a prescription to pick up you can at least make your other purchases at that counter (as long as it's not too many things). It's usually a spastic mess here. Super convenient and accessible by mass transit. This location really revolutionized this area at a time when things were changing with the ushering of Barclays and shopping in this area. It centralized services for a lot of folks. This location is clean and it carries a wide selection of products you may not find elsewhere. Like most Targets, there is no such thing as getting in and out. Their last reorganization added kiosks for self check which didn't previously exist. They used to have customer service at the front so you can handle returns/ exchanges as soon as you enter but now they've placed it in the back, hidden in a little corner. Not smart! You practically have to walk a block inside the store to find them. Besides that, it's you average Target experience. Plenty of workers on the floor near checkouts but not as viable in departments when you're in need of assistance. The items are also not shelved in the most organized way. You'll enter an isle such as Personal Care looking for lotions and see only 3 brands and the next 7 brands will be 4 isles over in a totally different area. Ugh! This was my first time experiencing in store pick up as I was intrigued by the Conveinence, boy was I wrong! The line upon entering was about 10 ppl deep with one cashier who was basically just concerned about his "meal". Granted everyone deserves a break however after watching him bring target bag after target back out to the folks in front of me with items missing! He had to go back into the holding area which took anywhere from 3-5 minutes. I was dying watching this all go down and so we're the other guest waiting. I had extra items to buy and he told me with his mouth that I had to join another long line to do so, I was in disbelief! Who sacrifices a customer experience and profit like that?! This all went down as I didn't see one leader around who could come and save me! Never again target...never again! read more

A large two-floor target. Their groceries, make up, and snacks are on the first floor. Their electronics and children clothing are on the second floor. They also have a good variety of their $1 and $3 section upon entering their store. I can't help but get sucked in and purchasing some of the $1 and $3 items. They offer a lot of $3 decorations that are cute and worth checking out. Most things are usually in stock and organized well and easy to find. You can search for things in the Target app and set your location at Atlantic Barclay Center and it tells you what aisle the item you are looking for is located. Very convenient and it saves me a lot of time and helps me avoid making an impulse buy. Its conveniently close to Atlantic Terminal, which has many different available trains and the LIRR. I'm able to quickly stop by when I need to take a transfer. The return and pick up registers are right next to the entrance/exit. They also have a Starbucks franchise inside their store. They have a lot of employees, some are chit-chatting, some are working hard and helping customers. They have moved to focus a lot on self check out that there is often no line to check out with an actual cashier. read more

I have mixed reviews for this Target. During the Black Friday sale, I purchased a Bodum French Press and I chose to pick it up at the store. Hence, I don't need to pay for shipping. On Saturday morning, I went to pick it up. And to my surprise, the customer service representative couldn't find it. She tried to give me a Keurig. When I told her that was not it, she brought back Mr. CoffeeMaker. Again, I stated that was not it. She, then, had to go on the floor to grab another Bodum. She didn't tell me what happened to the one I originally ordered. My guess is they sold it because she put another one in the back for pick up. This Target is conveniently located by being right in Atlantic Terminal, so rather passing by on your way home to take the LIRR, or if going to the mall to shop. I think it's awesome that there are a lot of young people are hired, being we all start off somewhere, however the professionalism is lacking. The other day I came here & when it was my turn to go to the register, the cashier just looked at me smh...not even a hello, or something. It was around 530pm on a Thursday & they only had three cashiers open. When I've come here on other occasions as well, it's usually like 2-3 registers open, which makes no sense during a peak time. The lines are always long for both the cashiers & self check out. This is a large target, but they need to have more registers open during rush hour & the staff needs to be a little more courteous. read more

The workers here are miserable and they are on a mission to make your day miserable too. Workers know they are being inexcusably rude ( and not justified either) and instead of apologizing or even doing what was requested (getting me an item that was locked away after waiting patiently for her to be done with other people- without intruding) has the galls to go on a power trip. Two can play that game but that would mean I stooped to your level, Target. Just up your professionalism and be a decent, reasonable human- you should include that in your training (if there is one). I'm not sure if they filter reviews or what but I've written multiple bad reviews for this place and they keep getting deleted. This badly built security guard lady always singles out my friend and I. She goes through our Target bags AND personal handbags after we pay every time we come. She ever checks anyone else's bags. Last year this Target also denied us from entering because kids from another school got into a fight in their store. Idk what that gotta do with us but they let everyone else in fine. We ended up walking 35 minutes to the Target on Dekalb for school supplies. Do not recommend this place at all. read more

The young women working in the pharmacy are unprofessional and rude. Recently, they were carrying on a personal conversation while I waited in line in excruciating pain. When I asked for assistance, I was ignored and when I called out the poor customer service, I was mocked by the young women working in the pharmacy on the afternoon of October 28th, 2020. Target is too large a corporation to sully its brand with unethical, unprofessional, and untrained staff. I practically live in target at this point. I buy all of my essentials, home decor, and some entertainment from here. They have just about everything I need. The staff are helpful and the self checkout lines generally move quick. Around the holidays ( like Christmas and Valentine's Day) you see extremely long lines. During holiday seasons, staff work diligently to keep the lines moving and provide assistance when needed. I wouldn't say it's the best but it's not the worst either. The layout of the store isn't the best. Or is it that I never remember which branch I'm in? Lol My "home" branch is in the Green Acres Mall Valley Stream but I have visited this branch on many occasions as I pass the time while waiting on my train. I know most are familiar with Target stores so this review is only about my experience here today Feb/6th/2015. About every third aisle I walked down I was approached by a CSR asking if I needed assistance. It was done in a mannerly fashion and it felt good to know you didn't have to search for someone if needed. One young lady even left to check the storeroom for an item. I have been a Target shopper since 2008, 90% of the time at this location on Atlantic Avenue. The Good: The sales, the 5% off if you have a Target credit card, The location itself, (near the Barclays and not too far from where I live) the free gift card promotion (&5, 10, 20, 50) when you purchase certain items or a certain quantity of an item (usually 3 or 4) and friendly staff, I have encountered there. I have read many reviews about how rude they are, but I have nothing of the sort here. The Bad; I have to read the circular online because it's usually not available in the store when I go, they tell you to check guest services, but they typically run out or have only one, which they use. Make sure you have a lot of spare time if you plan on going here in the evening or weekends; the lines are usually very long. They should have all registers occupied during these hours and add one or two more express checkout lanes and one more at Guest Services because that line too is usually very long as well. Lastly, while the staff is courteous, often times it's difficult to find an employee when you have a question about something. read more

The prices are really high, but Shaniya (spelling?) in the tech department was so great. She helped me find a product that fit my needs (and it was on sale!) and she was so kind! This time get location is OK. They usually have what you need but actually trying to get it can be a bit of a struggle. Stock is often switched around in different places and asking an employee for help with it sometimes seems like you are bothering them. Today I was able to sift through a bunch of other merchandise, like I was at a bargain basement store to the find items I was unable to order online for delivery or pick up. On a positive, It was nice to be able to pick up food items at the same time. Gotta love that one stop shop appeal. I noticed as I was leaving they sell masks to for $4. Not bad. read more

This is a busy two story Target situated inside a mall. They didn't have cashiers upstairs (that I saw). Lots of stuff in the Christmas section was out of stock and many of the aisles were pretty messy due to the holiday season. I couldn't find a flat edge spatula but I saw a bunch of other rubber utensils on sale. They have a nice sale section for home goods and they don't sell as much furniture as other Targets might. I like how they set up easy areas to buy quick Christmas gifts. read more

I walk in to the elevator lobby, there are two employees gathering carts. Five of us waiting. When the elevator finally comes the female employee starts putting carts in the elevator and rudely says "take the next one". Why are you sending up carts before customers?!? It's 8:30am and the store is virtually empty, who are you sending these carts to? The next elevator comes and everyone crams in, there's no one regulating how many people can get in a car just a sign that everyone is going to ignore. When I get upstairs I see one elevator is out of service. So there's one elevator for carts and one for passengers, so ridiculous. When I got inside the worker in electronics was much more pleasant and helpful. On my way out I see the same woman standing on her phone, ridiculous. read more

I most say this is definitely the largest "Target" I've ever been to. They have a large selection and multiple floors for all there inventory. I really liked all the deals they offer. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful when I asked questions. Again it's a large "Target," maybe to large because I got lost a couple of times. There is a huge food selection as well, so it's like shopping at a food store, with all the selection they have. I really liked this location and enjoyed buying 32 oz. Gatorade for only $1. At the check out the line moved quick because they had enough cashiers running the registers. "Target" is a one stop shop and if you have a couple of hours to invest shopping, I certainly would suggest give them a once over. Trust me, over the summer, with that AC, "Target" will be were I spend most of my time. read more

I came for a few stuff but as always you end up with more. This location is renovating and because of that all the products were switched around. When I needed help it took a while to find an associate. I found most of my products but quite a few were sold out. The lines were very long and the AC was broken probably because they are remodeling. Hopefully after all this renovations the store will have less lines and an AC.
