Customer service usually hold it for me until I can pick it up. Their Pharmacy team is amazing from pharmacist assistant manager, Miss Theresa Theresa, pharmacist manager, Mr. Sesay, Miss Melody, Pharmacy staffer Miss Sade, Pharmacy staffer. The ambience of this store is amazing. I love the fact that everyone is so friendly even if you walk in the Giant and don't know anyone they are all here to help. They even donate their food to any of the homeless who are in need of food that come in the store and sometimes can solicit customers for a dollar or something. Usually one of the Customer Service people will take that homeless person over to the side and bring them a hot meal and or allow them to get maybe three items that they need and that Giant Stafford will pay for it so that they can have something to drink and something to eat. I think that that is beautiful. This Giant is completely is completely about kindness, compassion, and Community. This is my favorite giant food store and I love the fact that they're always supporting some charity Saint Jude American Heart Association feed the Hungary donating to their local food pantries helping kids with school supplies. I love that they have a raffle every school year beginning of the school year. I have one maybe 3 raffles and I donated all of the materials back to the Giant because I no longer have a child who's in school he's now at university so when one year one a basket full of school supplies which I donate it right back to the Giant the following year I want Thanksgiving all turkey Thanksgiving box dinner which I donated it back to the Giant because I didn't need it and then one raffle I won tickets to see the Orioles play baseball and I donated those tickets back to the Giant and they could give them to whomever they want. I told them the 251st person that walked through the store could have those tickets and they did that and I am assuming that they enjoyed themselves at the game. I don't know. I did not go. I just love this Giant kindness Community compassion.

The only major shock that I had was buying hot food and bringing it at home. The sticker shock on my food had me frozen and stalled for a moment then I got passed it. They have everything in the store just a variety is varieties of produce and cheese and meat which I don't eat. The breads are beautiful; I've spent more time standing in the aisle than I should have just looking over stuff. Do not go to the grocery store hungry that's a general statement for all grocery stores, but particularly Wegmans. I was walking down the aisles planning in my head how big a sandwich I can make or should I go to the deli bar and have them make the sandwich. There's so many products to choose from such as bread, condiments, cheese produce, and a vegetable even my faux meats. Wegmans has their own brand of plant base meats. I can take all of the ingredients home and build it as big as I want and as sloppy as I want. It was just too much to consider but I'm glad I encountered Wegmans. I'm gonna miss it when I go back to the West Coast. My suitcase will be full of Wegmans food instead of souvenirs from the various sites of the area.‍‍

Continuing runner-up from alphabet series into 2021. 2021 had 9 businesses that were out of town…read moreas Chicago/Wisconsin trip was noteworthy that year as well as a couple of other trips. Representing local DMV runner-up for the letter A for 2021, A is for Aldi. This is my local Aldi to where I live since November 2020. For over 5 years, I've gone to my local Aldi in Corridor Marketplace. Aldi is a mix of good & bad. Like a lot of grocery stores, I have my share of compliants with many of them. In terms of my options within a mile of my home, I have Aldi, Shoppers, Wal-Mart, & Target. For quick comparison, I don't like Shoppers and may at some point get to giving a 2-star review of them. Wal-Mart has issues too, but they have the most variety, so I sometimes go over there. Target isn't very good for groceries as it's more limited. Aldi is good and best price, better than even Wal-Mart, but the downside is options are limited. For convenience, I much prefer going into Aldi than into Wal-Mart, but Aldi doesn't always have everything I'm looking for. So, it depends on what I'm looking for to determine which grocery store I choose. And if I'm in another area, I'll go to Lidl in Columbia or Harris-Teeter in Laurel (but I don't like going to Laurel Town Center in general) or Fulton, or other various stores. Although I had been to an Aldi prior to me living over here, it was quite rare as it wasn't convenient. When I first went in to my local one in late 2020, I was in sticker shock at the low prices! That was great; although prices have certainly gone up in the past few years, Aldi remains much lower than other stores on average including my local Wal-Mart. The low prices is their strongest aspect. Since the store is relatively small, it's easy to get around and a less stressful grocery experience than Wal-Mart, Wegmans (another huge grocery store), or even a standard grocery store. Aisles are well organized and pretty easy to find stuff. Some negatives are the produce is hit or miss in terms of the quality. And the other day, I was annoyed they only had organic blueberries, which were more expense. So, Lidl in Columbia got the win for the blueberries this past time. In general, they've been in good stock for things. Meats aren't a wide variety, but I make do with Aldi has. Dairy is a mix of good & bad. When egg prices got really high in early 2025, Aldi remained much lower than others, so I flocked to Aldi just for eggs. But now while Aldi remains the cheapest for eggs, it's only a small difference. One area where Aldi is lacking is turkey bacon. Their one variety of turkey bacon when in stock is very expensive, so Wal-Mart butterball turkey bacon, or other grocery stores will get the win on turkey bacon. Some of their yogurt has aspartame, which is bad, so I get the ones without, but their have their brand (the more expensive kind without aspartame) but still cheaper than even Wal-Mart. They have some Chobani yogurt, which I like but is no value here. So, if you want variety for yogurt, Wal-Mart is a better bet. Another thing is Aldi has a lot of their brands and may not even offer an alternative or limited. For example, you want potato chips, you can get a couple of the name brands but at a not so great value, or you can pay like a third of the cost for their "World famous" Clancy's chips. But Clancy's is just Aldi chips, but they don't want to put Aldi chips, so they come up with some nice name like Clancy's to get people to buy. I used to enjoy their kettle chips (close to as good as Cape Cod), but the last couple of times, it was too salty. I recently gave their Ruffle chips a try. Wow, those are amazing, better than Lay's Ruffles or any other ruffle chip I've ever had. More of a negative is checking out. Sometimes there's just one checkout lane open, and the line has been backed up 10+ deep. They try to do a decent job quickly getting a 2nd lane open, but that's hit or miss. Also, it's a bit chaotic and should be more clear signage on where people should stand in line. For example, when there are 2 checkouts open, I never know if they want people in 2 lines, like one coming off frozen food side & one coming off that next aisle, or they want all the people standing in one long line. It's confusing, and they need to do a better job of making it clear because people end up getting ahead that shouldn't get ahead. Cashiers themselves are generally pretty nice or at least cordial, better than most grocery stores. Also, it's very rare they ever get the price wrong, but like at any grocery store, I ALWAYS check the receipt before I leave. In summary, I'll keep coming back to Aldi for the convenience & low prices, but I don't have the highest expectations.

I stopped by for an Amazon return and ended up enjoying lunch--some sushi and pizza--in a relaxed, comfortable setting. The staff was sweet, helpful, and quick to assist when I couldn't find an item. The area feels safe, although it can get pretty busy at times. Luckily, I was able to snag a parking spot in a prime location. Whether you're grocery shopping, grabbing a quick bite, or knocking out an Amazon return, this location makes it easy. Definitely one of my favorite spots in PG County.

Ive been here several times in the past and occasionally will come check out whats new here but I really don't like supporting Whole Foods too much as Im not an Amazon fan nor do I like to pay higher prices for items I can get elsewhere for cheaper. But, occasionally its a nice treat to come. They do have lots of baked goods that can be enticing and I do like their tres leches cake, which is well made and tasty. I got a slice of that on this trip here. We also got some fresh black mission figs (super yummy) and sampled a new fruit we didnt know about called a chocolate navel orange (also super yummy). My mom and I love fresh veggies and fruits and grocery stores are places we like to go together and explore. Its a special bonding activity that I have really come to cherish immensely over the years. We also got some mango fruit pops as my mom likes them. We are both lactose intolerant so dairy options are usually out of the question. I also saw a new product I have never seen, which are Ethiopian injera crisps and that looked super intriguing, so I bought some to try. Happy to report that they are delicious and definitely taste like injera! Overall, this is a solid super market and we like to come here occasionally to pick up fresh fruits, veggies, old staple items we enjoy and discover new products too!

Getting inside, the foyer displays a sign of it being under remodelling. The store wasnt extemely busy but steady flow. I found my select items to include great selection of picked out flowers. This area has a higher population of Asians therefore, I believe my product was at this location. I went to checkout and within 10 minutes I was out to resume the rest of my day. Sometimes driving to select areas provides for a variety of options that other stores lack.
