I attempted to provide support by visiting the location after watching a YouTube video describing…read moreit as a hidden gem. On Saturday, October 10, 2026, I drove approximately 45 minutes (one-way) to the establishment. Upon arrival, there appeared to be only about three pending orders displayed by the hanging order slips. The environment was quite disorganized. I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich, requesting the eggs to be fried over medium, along with six wings. The cashier had difficulty ringing the order and asked a staff member with distinctive red puffy twists, resembling Raggedy Ann red on one side of his head, to assist. He informed him that the it could be found under breakfast and he was able to locate it. I anticipated that my order would be ready within 15-20 minutes, so I chose to wait at the counter.
During my wait, I observed additional orders being called and placed. Meanwhile, the staff member with the distinctive hair repeatedly reordered the slips, and it seemed that more recent orders were prioritized over mine. I remained patient, understanding that this appears to be a small operation. After approximately 35 minutes, a woman who had arrived 15-20 minutes after me requested a refund, citing her need to return to work during her lunch break. The staff member with his distinctive color hair goes return her $12 and give her the 6 wings, explaining that her fries weren't done. She explained that she was willing to pay for the wings if they were ready but needed to return to work.
At this point, I had been waiting for 35 minutes, and it took approximately 25 minutes for them to put the chicken in the fryer. Although I am not in the food service industry, I found it perplexing that, despite having multiple chicken orders, they delayed placing the items in the deep fryer. They only had three small household type fryers and one appeared to not be operational, and each could accommodate 12 pieces at a time. I wondered why the chicken wasn't fried as orders were placed, especially since I had ordered my items 25 minutes prior. I also overheard the younger woman asking if over-medium eggs are fried, but no response was given. I regret not interjecting at that moment.
Eventually, after approximately 40 minutes, the distinctive hair man asked me what I was waiting for, and I explained my order. He then packaged a sandwich that had been sitting and the 6 wings. I received mushy eggs on the sandwich that were supposed to be scrambled eggs, not over medium eggs that I requested. It was one of the worst breakfast sandwiches I have had in a long time. How do you mess up eggs?
Throughout my wait, I overheard discussion about how busy Friday was as they are now serving fish, which is difficult to imagine given the current level of service. Despite not having many customers, the service was horrible.
The other woman there had received street corner roses from who she described as a Jamaican man, which she was so happy to get. Oh, and some chicken. The younger woman goes that why I need a n word in my life. That was the vibe of this establishment. It was a one and done for me!
