-Food Ok. -Salad bar good, disappointed 3 Bean salad (my favorite) was taken away! -Onion rings, not the same. Used to be my favorite and only place I would order them. Not anymore, they've changed the batter recipe. -Fudge cake is complimentary for birthdays. Nice treat that tastes yummy! -Pray people are sanitary at salad bar! If not, I lose appetite and money bc I quit eating and leave the premises. -No one is ever there, question every time I go by if they're closed permanently. Don't see any cars in the parking lot, during busiest lunch and dinner hours. -Question how they can afford staff and remain open, for what appears to be such little customer traffic. -Due to slow business,I've been told all entrees and deserts are not ordered and/or cooked. Ex. Strawberry Pie not available. Say what?! How can you go to what's considered an All -American restaurant and not get strawberry pie! -Get the impression Shoney's is going down, eventually going away forever. Such a shame, bc it used to be the Big Boy restaurant that was enjoyable for most families. read more

The best way to describe this place is underwhelming. Went to the buffet to start with a salad, had to ask four different times just to get some lettuce. Everything was low and someone out back yelled "smells like the buffet is too high". For main food you had a choice of chicken for a protein that's it. The clam chowder was yellow in color and burnt around the edges of the pot. Used the restroom before I left and my shoes were sticking to the floor. They only get one star because I can't give a negative rating. Major changes are needed here. Avoid and go somewhere else. read more

WOW... just wow. I can't even wrap my brain around this place. 4 tables eating in the whole joint. I ordered an omelet w/ fried potatoes and wheat toast. I got a burnt omelet with white toast, no potatoes. Husband ordered a chicken sandwich and fries. Got the sandwich, no fries. Then waitress brings us a platter with steak, baked potato and broccoli. Huh???? She looked sooooo confused. She went to grab our potatoes, 15 minutes - nothing. Oh and the loud mouthed waitress sitting at the counter just got out of jail, is living in a halfway house, hasn't seen her son in over a month, and her husband has a gambling addiction, which the other waitress thinks is rude. In case you needed to know that. Because everyone else was forced to listen to it. read more

Went into this place on a Thursday at 6:15 pm, they weren't terribly busy and were obviously understaffed. There was barely any food on the bar yet they didn't say it was unavailable. No lettuce whatsoever for salads and most of the other salad toppings appeared to have been sitting way too long. The mashed potatoes were almost gone, the black beans looked as though they were leftover from several days ago. Most of the other trays of food were empty. There was something, possibly jello, on the floor by the salad bar and I nearly fell trying to walk around it to see what was left. No one was cleaning it and there was no caution sign anywhere. We were told by the waitress that more food would be on the way. We waited 15 minutes, paid for our cokes and left. Will never be back. Definitely a negative on how many stars I'd give this place. read more

One of the best places I ever ate!! I came all the way from Boston,Ma to see my friend and we came to Shoneys despite the reviews it's under new management now and it was awesome. They had plenty of staff, 2 people constantly at the bar. It looked amazing! My friend ate if the buffet( we travel a lot and go to many food places) it's by far one of the best places I have been to! The staff is super nice, managers were even walking around checking on customers and having conversation with guests . The environment was very warm and inviting. I suggest trying it again if you haven't been there recently. The new GM is amazing her assistants were extremely helpful in answering the tons of questions we had. I even got to speak to the kitchen manager who made my sirloin it was one of the best steaks I have ever eaten. Amazing man as well. The staff they are just super nice and our waitress was very attentive to us and the other multiple tables she had!!! They were just awesome!! read more

Choneys ... I had me a chicken sandwich and fries on Friday night at 630 and this place was empty ... service was great! This server was so nice and actually worked for her tip and understood customer service . Shot out to Dee . My fries were really good , my sandwich was mediocre. I'd like to recommend seasoning with a lil Cajun two step instead of whatever it was you used . My coffee came out fresh and hot . Clean silverware and napkins . Dee put us in a section that I could visibly see my dog who waited for us in the car . I made her a to-go box of left overs and she was very happy . She too thought it could use the two step ... if I ever return to lewisburg id definitely return to choneys . Out of the two choices there Waffle House or choneys ... I'd choose choneys . read more

Wouldn't even give it a star. We messed up stopping here. Floor so slippery it was like I was skating. Found a dead fly in the ham and I told a girl about it and she just fished it out and left the ham out for people to eat. I asked for ham from the back and they had no more. There was also a dead fly in the water by the oranges on the bar. They have a very bad fly problem. Nothing was out on the bar like no meat. Didn't have any soft drinks only had tea and water. Health department should check them out. FOOD WAS NASTY. read more

Decided to try this place. The food was a lot better than the house down the street that has "waffles". Portions were large, the burger was tasty and we were overall impressed. We ordered from the menu, not the buffet. read more

We were looking for a good breakfast place on the weekend. First time at this Shoney's and despite the reviews, the parking lot was nearly full. There were lots of servers and even two were monitoring the breakfast bar. They had a decent selection and strawberry shortcake too . The food was not bad and I would come back again . Our only complaint was the noise. We were in the back room and another table were talking loud, would have preferred a quieter spot . read more

Stopped in to eat. Imust say this is the worst buffet I have ever seen in a Shoneys restaurant. I ordered toast with the buffet, it never came and was still in the window when I left. My server disappeared and was no where to be seen. read more

Shoney's - My toast, as I'm checking out. - Fast Food Near Me - Lewisburg, Tennessee

No better than I remembered. Do yourself a favor and drive to Columbia if you must eat at Shoney's. That location much better managed. Had to resort to using the phone to place my order. Waiter debated me with regards to my order. Told me "buffet cheaper than ordering from the kitchen". Personally I don't enjoy buffets as I have seen some seriously unsanitary acts committed by patrons and staff alike. read more

Shoney's - Lewisburg TN Shoney's - Fast Food Near Me - Lewisburg, Tennessee

The owner should just close the doors. I went on a Saturday afternoon at 1:30 pm and the only good available was the breakfast and lunch buffet. The lunch buffet consisted of: I think it was Saulsberry steak? ‍ fried chicken (I've had better chicken at a Chinese restaurant ) instant mashed potatoes, thick brown gravy, corn on the cob swimming in water, green beans swimming in water. The girls were nice. read more

I frequent Shoney's a couple of times a month in Columbia and Lewisburg. My favorite thing is the Turkey Club sandwich with Dixie chips. I always order this with two slices of sourdough instead of three and always ask for Dixie chips to be cooked well done because Lewisburg cooks do not fry the chips long enough and they come out partially uncooked. Columbia Shoney's always prepares my sandwich to perfection and the chips are ALWAYS crispy golden brown. This particular evening, I ordered my Turkey Club with two slices of bread, and well done crispy Dixie Chips. My husband also ordered well done Dixie Chips with his spicy chicken sandwich. I heard the server turn in the order and verbally told the cook my order specifics. The restaurant was slow and there were no other orders before mine as I could see the cook from my table. When my order came, there were three slices of sourdough and the chips were not cooked crispy. The server apologized. The sandwich was okay but it was not as delicious as I am used to. From now on, I will drive 10 plus miles to Columbia for my Turkey Club and will no longer eat in Lewisburg Shoney's in the town I live. Very disappointing Lewisburg! read more

Read the other reviews. My experience was nowhere near that good. Half empty bar. What was there was very old. Service? Stirred my coffee with a steak knife after 3 requests for a spoon failed. Obviously they couldn't care less about whether you come back or not. read more

We just stopped at Shoney's to get dinner. There was no greeter or any sign telling you to wait to be seated or to seat yourself so we did the latter. We sat at our table for 10 minutes and no one even acknowledged us. My husband finally noticed a woman at the cash register and went to let her know we were there. He came back with a couple menus and we sat there for another 5 minutes. Still nothing so we left. Then we went to Wendy's but that's another story. read more

I went today for breakfast....had hardly no food but charge full price....i am for sure they never get another dime of my money..it was so sorry I be ashamed to own the place and serve that. read more

Service just okay. Menu is pretty limited because of the buffet. However the buffet was about to be dismantled when we arrived. Had the soup and salad buffet (rest of buffet closed). Food was just ok. Soup is salty and tastes like from concentrate. Salad buffer lettuce was browning a bit and fresh mushrooms were'nt so fresh. Just kinda blah and too much $$ for the lack of quality and service. Used to enjoy Shoney's more...but not this trip. read more

Went there with my guys parents. We are selling and buying a house and were in the area. I also work nearby. Had heard it had gotten better...well that is wrong. It's gone back down hill sadly. The lunch buffet had basically really nothing on it. When we were about to leave they added chicken. Before that it was only meat loaf and very old ribs that were extremely dry. Potatoes were almost out, gravy had film on it. It was...sad. read more

We literally did not see our server once during our visit. The only person that waited on us was the greeter (who ended up being the assistant manager). I hate to only give one star because the assistant manager was awesome. Very personable and accommodating. The serving staff however was the worst I've ever had. read more

I ordered a steak. The waitress told me "it will be a while because we don't have any thawed out". So I ordered a hamburger steak, which the menu says is smothered with grilled mushrooms and onions and served with gravy. They brought out a plain unseasoned beef patty. I asked "what happened to the onions and mushrooms?" So they grilled me some and brought them in a dish. Meat was cold by then. Poor service. Bland flavorless food. Take someone you hate to eat there. read more

By far the worst restaurant I've been to between Florida to New York. Had no waiter the entire time we were there. No drinks at all. The waiters just kept looking at us and wouldn't serve us. Then we went to pay for the food and they were very very rude. I will never return to this Shoneys again. I've been to many great places and run down places but I have never been to one as bad as this one. I honestly dont see how they are even still open with service like that. read more

Last time we will eat here. Waited 10 min to be seated. The food was as expected but we waited 20 min for our ticket. No refills on drinks and had to ask the waitress for our ticket. The whole time the manager stood near the table at the front talking to two women. read more

Needed something quick for dinner so decided to try out the buffet. I started with the salad bar which was decent while my husband went for the hot bar. The chicken and ribs were dried out and tasteless. The veggies were crusty and sticking to the pans. Everything looked as if it had been sitting out for hours!! $24 for the meal and left hungry!! read more

Went one night recently to get a burger with my kids. A cheeseburger and fries. I heard they were better. A cheeseburger and fries, you would think they could get that right. Nope! Burger was dry and the fries were greasy. I don't recommend ! read more

I ll never step foot in there again ! I took my family there , 2 of us had the buffet (Sat before 4pm) . The chicken was bloody red & raw (bad enough that they pulled it from the bar after we pointed it out) , the rest of the food was dried out , scummed over & cold . Upon asking for the manager we were shown nothing but rudeness & hostility . So I went home & decided to call in on the customer support line & got a return call from the new & improved owner/operator just to get more of the same insults & degrading treatment . I refuse to spend my money on food that isn't safe to eat , very bad service & abusive/hostile customer relations . read more

Newly refurbished. Great food and menu. Try the cheese burger and fries there amazing. Pretty good service too.

Service was horrible! Buffet was disgusting! My son wanted a steak, ordered it medium well, when it was finally brought to the table it was way overcooked, which was thirty minutes after it was ordered. Manager David was rude and unprofessional. Go somewhere else anywhere else to eat in Lewisburg. read more
