It's Shoney's, this one clean, reasonable-cost, decent salad bar. Good is pretty good, and the service is good.

Good food and service was friendly and we are a group of 2 adults and 3 small children The server was excellent with my 3 girls We ate from the buffet and the food was hot and tasty My girls were treated very nicely and respectful I would give the service 10 stars if I could I send a big thank you to all the employees who work there!! read more

Food was pretty good not gonna complain about that but the service was kind of crappy to at least wait 20 minutes for a refill. I originally ordered the chicken wings, but they were out of that and maybe re-order a new meal and even when I need a spoon she didn't give us at me until 15 minutes later when I was practically done. My family has been dining at Shoneys, all over the US for probably 40 years. For the most part, this one is average. We went on Thanksgiving this year as we were having our family dinner a different day. The Thanksgiving Feast that was advertised was not outstanding, just average - and it was pretty pricey, in my opinion. However, everything was hot and fresh even though they were very busy for the Holiday. The best part was the service. We were taken care of very well. I haven't visited a Shoney's in many years. The decor hasn't changed but the menu sure has. I ordered the Blacked grilled chicken breast with steamed veggies and a side salad. I had a chicken breast sandwich, salad bar and fries. All were very good, cooked perfectly. My partner had, well, I can't remember, but I know she liked it. Service was not just great, it was above and beyond what they needed to be, treated out little girl like gold. Employees talked to us like they actually care about their customers. Breakfast buffet is outstanding. Lunch buffet is a quick way to eat on work break. Dinner buffet varies depending on night. Friday seafood is mostly fried but I was expecting that considering distance from ocean. Fried chicken a regular on buffet. It is traditional southern style, crispy and delicious. Bbq ribs were a huge surprise. As good as any ribs in area and all you can eat on buffet. Meat loaf and roast are comfort food favorites. If ordering on menu try the all American burger. It is very good and only 6.99 with fries. This Shoneys is doing it right and walking distance from two hotels. read more

We were seated right away, waitress took drink order of two coffees she then came back to table to confirm what she had forgotten two coffees. Then poof the waitress was not seen again so there was no endless cup of coffee, when we went to pay we had no check brought to the table, we told the one checking us out we were not happy with this she said sorry and the waitress said " my bad I thought I did". Well today was a new low for this supposed restaurant we went in at a few minutes after 12 pm I ordered a sirloin steak fourth five minutes later they bring out a microwaved thawed steak with the blood that had congealed on the outside and then they tried to grill it on a flat top. The knife they provided couldn't cut the meat, after talking to a manager they apologized and said they didn't know that thawing a frozen steak in a microwave would do that to it, but they would comp my bill. Witch they did take the meat it's self off but charged me for my side items, unfortunately I didn't notice that until we were in the car or we would have questioned that move. So I gave them one star due to the fact there isn't a lower rating. If you are looking to go to an outdated building for a subpar buffet this is the place to go if you want to pay to much for too little! read more

I have been going to shoneys for as long as I can remember. This one had a great selection and the food tasted great but all four of us got sick on our way home to Illinois which is not a short ride. The service and price were good but hope it was a one time thing read more

When going to a Shoney's you know what to expect,by and large. Tonight's experience at this particular establishment was unexpected. Over a 45 minute wait for a grilled cheese, a burger, and a salad. Then, the credit card machine would not work. The shock was that every table around us was ordering the buffet, so our table was one of the few they were actually preparing food for. We stayed in Glasgow to visit the caves in surrounding cities. We decided to visit Shoney's they were right next to the days inn we stayed at. We ordered our food and the waitress seemed nice. When our food came out there was no spinach on the chicken we ordered that was featured in the menu. We asked the waitress about this and she seemed clueless as to spinach even being at the restaurant. She promised us to get the spinach out as soon as she could. We noticed that we were not the only people there but it was not busy by any means. 10 minutes later we received the spinach. The food was great! We got refills on our drinks but nothing was ever bussed from our table. After finishing our meal we waited 10 more minutes for a check that was never delivered to our table i turned and stared down the manager who was casually on her phone and she never even noticed me. After going up to the host station and asking to be checked out we were given the wrong check at first and the hostess giggled to her coworkers that the server had ignored us. I asked to speak to the manager and after a few minutes the host came back and said it would be another five minutes before we could talk to the manager. I politely thanked her but did not wish to wait any longer on this establishment. Hands down a bad experience service wise but compliments to the cooks. read more
