We had Easter Sunday lunch at the location in Bowling Green. First of all, let me say that the service and courtesy was top-notch level for any restaurant. I was amazed. I've never experienced courtesy like this in a Red Lobster before. Server staff were fantastic. The answer was always "yes" to whatever we requested. A lot of smiles. That is good to see nowadays. We both ordered lobster and it was delicious. The lobster duo includes a Maine lobster and a Caribbean lobster. The Caribbean lobster was a bit chewy compared to the Maine lobster but it was supposed to be different and was still good. The cheddar biscuits were excellent. So soft, hot and fresh. I don't ever remember them being that good. Lobster dip was piping hot just as you would expect. So good! Noise was minimal considering the volume of business. I normally don't patronize chain restaurants but Red Lobster gets a pass, part nostalgia from my youth and part that it's the only place you can get decent seafood in Kentucky, other than a couple of high end places in Louisville. I almost always get the crab, it's my favorite and they do it very well. This location is one of my two favorite locations in Kentucky. Excellent service, food is always consistent and the building is always clean. One of the best GM's in the Red Lobster chain, which is a big part of the reason for the consistent food quality and the excellent service. read more

Food was good except steak. It was so tough and stringy on the inside. It was cooked perfect. It was medium. The lobster was good. The shrimp was very good. The salad was covered in bacon. When we first walked in and it wasn't that busy and we waited for like 2 to 3 minutes to be seated because the girl behind the hostess desk was looking up some thing on the computer and told us just a second so I'm thinking she was new I was a bit apprehensive what our dining experience was going to be. She sat us in a booth and told us someone would be right with us and gave us our menus. We looked through the menus, and after no one came to even take a drink order after a couple minutes I told my husband I would give them five minutes and then we were going to get up and go somewhere else to eat. Right before the five minutes was up, one of the managers walked over and asked us what we would like to drink and also apologized for us waiting. We told him we also knew what we wanted to eat so he took both orders another manager came back quickly with our drinks, and then a waitress came with my salad , she explained that she didn't know that the table was part of her section. Now, after reading to this part, you're probably thinking why five stars?? Well, right after I was finished with my salad and they also had brought rolls for the table which are totally delicious, food came out piping hot and delicious. The manager said I wanted to make sure your service went flawless, and that your food was flawless because you sat here for up to seven minutes with no one even acknowledging you and I'm very sorry. I have to say the food was incredibly delicious. I got broiled rainbow trout with a side of broccoli. Both were seasoned to perfection and were so delicious. I've never thought broccoli was that good until I ate it there. I also got a side of shrimp scampi, and the shrimp in my opinion was a bit mushy, so maybe they were frozen shrimp? My husband got the fish and chips. The only thing he said was that to him the fish tasted like frozen cod that you buy at Aldi's and then cook but he said that everything was hot and tasty. My daughter got Walts favorite shrimp and she said it was delicious. She also got a side of broccoli with hers and fries. All in all, what could've been a horrible dining experience was a five star and I wanted to tell the manager that myself, but I didn't see him anywhere. I think it says a lot for this restaurant that both managers were bringing food out and taking orders, they may have been short staffed, or had a lot of new people on, but we left feeling happy and full. It's been several years since I had eaten at this location but it was Saturday, lunch time, WKU graduation day, and Derby day...the places we preferred were packed, and in my mind I thought this place would be too, however, the parking lot seemed usually open so we swung in and our party of five was able to be seated immediately (hmmm-clue??). The food: Every platter was overcooked. The scampi was slightly overcooked and had some tough pieces that had to be discarded, but the fish was inedible-tough and rubbery. I did tell our server, and new fish was eventually brought out. Although it was not as overdone, it was still overcooked. By that point we were already finished eating and it just wasn't worth the effort or the embarrassment to tell them again. Our server did a very good job and the manager was kind and apologetic, but the food was subpar. OK long rant took my family out to eat and got to the location at 6:10pm and was told it would be a 10 min wait and was happy to wait for my seat. I was notified at 6:21 that my table was ready ( I had a party of 6 4 kids and 2 adults). After being seated our server came over (Her name was Katie i believe) promptly and took our drink and appetizer order . She had our drinks out in a timely manner and a few min later our appetizers. The server then took our order I'll upload a pic. After about 20 min the server came back and apologized that it would take a little longer.I told her that's not a problem I understand restaurant work cause I have done the job before. After a little bit of time we had already finished our appetizers and 2 baskets of bread still no food. Again server came out and apologized and said she is all over the cooking crew tring to get our food. She ended up coming out 3 more times same story. We ended up sitting in the restaurant for almost 2hrs and no food and the server ended up coming out and finally told us that the one and only trained cook went home and all there was only trainees back there and the manager is back there with them and then asked if we would like our food to go. Seeing as 2 of my children are toddlers I figured I got to get them home. The server took my payment and the management compt my drinks and appetizers and part of a order. The management came out and began to sing a story of how they failed and asked us to come back... Well after a 35 min drive we got home to find that the food was water logged no flavor and one order was so skimpy it shouldn't even be called a order I paid 83$ after a 20$ gift card for something I could have went to iga and made my self for half the cost. If the owner reads this they need to think about a management change up if you schedule no trained cooks and all trainees your setting your self up for failure on a weekend day .Totally failed with the current setup there I'd recommend going to clarksville or other restaurant read more

It was my server, Madison's first night and her service was outstanding. The food was served hot and fresh, just to my liking. However, it took at least two attempts to pay my check with the antiquated "presto" board. In fact it took about as long to pay as it took to finish my meal. Let's just say, the staff here is fantastic. I came her one Valentine's Day so of course it's busy. We called a week in advance to make a reservation however when we got there they said they don't do reservations on Valentine's Day. Not a big deal because stuff happens. The manager was kind enough to let us get an appetizer for free for the confusion. You want to know how we got it for free? By not acting mean to the staff. That's right! Being nice actually gets you far. So the wait was about 30 minutes, not bad at all in my opinion. The waiter, Zack, was the nicest waiter I've had. He answered all of our questions and was very attentive. The food was amazing. I got garlic grilled shrimp and it was cooked perfectly. You can't go wrong with their cheddar biscuits. I took about 12 of them to go. The appetizer was good also. It was mushrooms stuffed with what I think, bread crab and cheese. Got seated ina timely manner. Drinks out , order taken salsa came. End of service. Part of my order came out , shrimp scampi was left off the order. I told the person bringing our food they had forgotten the scampi. He said he would take care of it. Wife and I finished our meal which was good. Meal ends, no drink refills entire meal, no more biscuits or offer for any. Ready for check , guess what he shows up with? You guessed it , shrimp scampi with an apology that they had a larger party and got behind. They weren't behind when they brought the order out originally. He says he will refill our drinks and get the manager as I refused the scampi now I'm done with my meal. Manager comes by and apologizes with excuse. I let her know I didn't need excuses. She says she will credit the scampi I never got in the first place, how noble. I know they are short handed but this was ridiculous still never got the drink refills and it took an additional 10 minutes to get the bill . This was not a man power problem . Had a great experience at this Red Lobster location. They were short staffed in the kitchen and took some extra time to get my second side out to us, but it didn't affect our meal much at all. We moved to Bowling Green last March and finally got to eat here. We've been to other Red Lobsters many times in Ohio, but I've got to say the layout at this one has what we've never enjoyed before. We arrived for lunch at the peak time and was seated right away. Our server was Amy, she was superb. I used to always get the Sailors platter and tried it here. Mmmmm good. My wife loves Popcorn Shrimp and ordered that. She loved it. Amy was very attentive but not in an obtrusive way. If there was anything I didn't care for it was when I asked for our bill. I was told it was on that little tablet style toy on tables nowadays. I prefer a paper bill. But I can live with it if I have to. Will we be back? Durn tootin'. It was a good experience. read more

Our family has visited this Red Lobster a handful on times since moving to Bowling Green. It had been about 6 months since our last visit, so we decided to go on a Saturday afternoon in between lunch and dinner. It wasn't very crowded, so we were sat down near the bar area right after we walked in. We waited around 15 minutes for the bartender who was our server to come get our drink order. No harm in taking a break, but someone should've been covering the section while she was away. We had multiple employees, even what looked to be the manager pass by and they didn't say anything or offer to bring by drinks or bread. We even asked someone if we had a server and they just responded "She's coming!" Another table ordered their food after us, and we received our food a long wait after them. Food took a while, but it was hot and fried fresh. Keep in mind they have a very limited menu right now. Only Caesar salad is being offered, no garden salad. We might come back in a few months to see if there have been improvements. If not, we will be done visiting this location. read more

Went there Thursday evening. The hostess said 15 to 20 minutes wait. I could see two empty booths at the back and then walked further into the restaurant to find at least 7 booths free and clean. Two more couples walked in and were told 20 minutes wait. All of this was rather odd when space was available so walked up and returned the gizmo we were given for our wait. Told the hostess that we were leaving since we were waiting when there were booths open for seating. With no one is front of us, it seemed odd. The hostess offered no resistance or explanation about staffing or anything. Took the gizmo without saying any thing. You can't run a good restaurant if you don't seat the customers and if there are open spaces for that why ask customers to wait. There is a management issue at this Red Lobster that hopefully will be explored by those who own the place. Aside from this, the restaurant was cold on a night when it was not hot outside at all. From the outside this place looks a little dilapidated, but going through the front door reveals one of the nicest Red Lobsters I have ever seen. Service was great, food was up to par. I just received the absolute WORST customer service from this restaurant that I have ever experienced. I placed a curbside pickup order today at 3 pm so I could pick it up at 7pm before picking up my daughter from work at 7:15. I arrived and checked in at 6:55pm per the app and waited 15 minutes before I called the store to check on my order. I was placed on hold then hung up on. By this time it was 7:20 so I had to leave to get my daughter so I left and called back to cancel my order. I was told, rudely, that I would have to call back, she (Lee), couldn't refund me. I asked for the manager and she refused to transfer me then hung up. I have tried to call back for over an hour, but have yet to get my $60 order refunded. I went there on a Friday night and the place was packed! One hour wait for us to get a table for 4, some drinks and our order. The food took about 20 mins afterwards. Although I dislike the wait, I love their food. I ordered coconut shrimp & grilled garlic shrimp and it was amazing! Truly the best shrimp dishes you can have anywhere. The steak & shrimp combo my friend had was great as well. During my visit yesterday I became upset with my server and then management for making excuses about purchasing an extra piece cod fish. The server said she would have to charge me for entire other meal to get a piece of fish when I explained I got one the week before for only $4.99 and said she'd go ask the manager because that piece of cod fish was expensive. The manager then proceeded that the server last week mis-rung it up and it would cost me $5.99. Again blaming it on the previous server (which she asked the manager last week what to charge me). All this over a dollar. I left upset with how it all went down. I felt Unvalued as a customer when I have supported this establishment over the past year during the pandemic period. This may have been one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. Other than the immediate seating, I have nothing positive to say. Our waitress Martha was very unfriendly. We had to ask for rolls after our food came out. She stated she "forgot" them. Who forgets Red Lobster rolls? Then I ordered the appetizer lobster pizza, which was during happy hour so it should have been $5, with a water. The other person in my party ordered the 4 course $15 meal, with a sweet tea $2.99. When we got the bill I had been charged $11.99 for my pizza and my friend was charged $16.99 for her $15 dinner. I tried several times to get Martha's attention to discuss the bill and it was as if she purposely was avoiding me. After approximately 15 minutes, my friend flagged her down asked her to take the payment. She took the payment, rudely brought it back laid it on the table and walked away. I have never done this before but I left $0 tip and a note telling Martha she should check the bill next time. Maybe she would have received a tip if she had shown half an ounce of pride about her self or her job. During all of this not once did I even see a manager. I admit it, I agreed to come here because of the biscuits. The cheddar bay biscuits are totally like crack. I wasn't super enthused about the rest of the menu. I'm just not a huge fan. Everything is over-breaded, overpriced, and solidly meh. I was very pleasantly surprised today. I got the handbreaded fish and chips off the lunch menu, even though I had my doubts based on previous experiences. It was really good. No overpowering soy oil disgusting mess here. My fish fillet was delicious, the crunchiness to grease ratio nearly perfect. I dumped on some malt vinegar and dived in like a true eastender. Even the fries were good, salted and crispy without being like concrete. I enjoyed my meal greatly, and I will be much less unwilling to revisit Red Lobster in the future. read more
