Solid sushi in a homey, no-frills atmosphere. I haven't had sushi in a while so the first bite was manna from the gods. Just a note that on weekends, they only serve sushi (so nothing like tempura or katsu-based rice dishes) which was fine with us. Aside from some sushi/sashimi combos, the menu also featured a good number of rolls. I ordered the sashimi combo, with salad, soup, and rice. The salad was all right (your standard iceberg lettuce with lots of carrot and purple cabbage) and the soup was a touch too salty, but I was here for the fish anyway. Cuts were thick and generous, maybe a little unevenly cut in some places. Lots of salmon pieces, which I didn't mind at all, as a salmon lover. The unagi nigiri that I ordered as an add-on was exceptional (tender, with nice crisp edges) - I'll have to try their unagi rice bowl next time. The presentation for all our dishes showed consideration. Our waitress was kind and sweet and apologized profusely when the food took a while to come out. I think she was the only one working that night, so just something to bear in mind.

This is hands down the best Japanese restaurant in all of Boston. My girlfriend and I went tonight on our drive back into town and we both have a new favorite overall restaurant. The service was excellent, the server (likely an owner) was extremely nice and utterly adorable. The sushi chef (also probably an owner) was also extremely nice. Every single item we got was above the bar, most of them by a long way. The teriyaki sauce was amazing, and clearly homemade, the katsu sauce was to die for, and the udon was very good with plenty of meat and each different item in the udon was excellent. Finally, as someone who has never really met sushi they liked before, the sweet potato roll was perfect. I understand now why sushi is supposed to be eaten exactly as is, because the balance of everything is perfect. We will absolutely be returning, as well as sharing this place with our friends!

おいしい So Fresh & So Authentic!! Takeout sushi lunchbox looks like a fresh package from Japan via airmail Sushi and sashimi are always fresh, and handled correctly in the most Meticulous form, the way it should be! Chefs and waitstaff are always friendly! I love how with their takeout - they separate the cold and warm food in separate bags maintaining its best temperature for sushi and hot entrees. Sushi Lunch is such a good deal! Love their "Tako-su" ... under Appetizer: Octopus avocado & cucumber in sweet vinegar dressing. So good when you eat that with cold clear yam noodles!

This place was amazing. I went in for a late dinner with a friend and the chef took our orders. Everything came out so GOOD. Service was awesome too, you can tell the chef pours his heart and soul into this restaurant and the food. The food was 10/10 and very authentic and high quality. Definitely recommend!

Their food is amazing. We've been here for multiple times and have tried both sushi and donburi. Really taste great. The restaurant is ran by a old Japanese couple so very authentic! However, the service is really slow...The papa is the sushi chef and mama serves table. I think she has too many things to do, which keep her super busy. Today we waited for 30mins to order because we couldn't find her in the dining area. Finally she came to the dining area, but went to take order for another table who came later than us. Maybe she just forgot us...Last time we were also about to leave (because we waited for so long) when she finally showed up to take the order. Our main dish takes about 50 mins to prepare, which is also longer than most Japanese restaurants. Getting the check is also slow. We spent almost 2hrs for this dinner...Sometimes there are young guys who help with serving so it gets better. Strongly recommend them to hire someone to help.

Delicious and fresh sushi in an unassuming atmosphere. Service is prompt and the owner is so kind. Prices are extremely reasonable especially given the quality of food. Highly recommend.

I've seen salmon, tuna, toro, uni, squid, crab, and more. You can ask the staff to cut up the fish blocks for you, I'm not sure if this is for a small cost. They can add your fish to a bed of rice for an extra cost. They also have seafood that you cook, those items are in separate fridges with a label stating that the product is recommended for cooking. These items are frozen. You can also find different sauces, sushi rolling mats, seaweed, anything you can think of to help you prepare sushi. If you don't want to make your own sushi, you can order sushi from their menu and they will make it on the spot for you. Depending on the day or time you visit, there may be a little wait. I stopped by on a Sunday afternoon one time and waited ~10-15 minutes for two sushi rolls because there was only one person working on the sushi behind the counter and one person taking care of the register. Please be patient with them as they seem like a family-owned small business. You can also call ahead to order party trays. The prices seem fair, I've never been disappointed with the quality of fish. Very neat environment, there are signs for everything. The staff is also super friendly!

They have a few Japanese freezer and pantry items but the big draw is super fresh seafood! They sell made to order sushi and sashimi for incredibly affordable prices, and even have "party packs" to order for your next event! The most fun for me is to order their chirashi--you look around at any fish you want, bring all the packs to the front, and they'll cut the fish for you and arrange it into a beautiful chirashi bowl on rice for only $1 more than the cost of the fish! Even better, they have lots of unique fish for adventurous eaters, like sweet shrimp, clam, octopus, Uni, black cod, etc. I absolutely love getting to choose my cuts of fish, and the quality is incredible! Would note there is no seating, so this is definitely a to go spot, but definitely worth a try!

Came here for dinner the other day with a friend & we did walk-in. We were able to get seated at the bar immediately. Though the restaurant was essentially empty at the time & there looked like many tables available, I guess they block them off for reservations only? Ended up being a full house by the time we finished our meal! There were so many unique options to choose from but we ended up getting the following: -tuna tacos -6 nigiris (2 otoro, 2 yellowtail, & 2 black bass) -phoenix roll -southside roll -lychee martini -"I trust the nanny" drink Take out order (after our meal): -nor'easter roll -spicy tiger roll -chutoro tuna w/ chives roll -4 otoro nigiris The fish tasted super fresh! Rolls were all very flavorful too! All of the rolls we ordered all had hints of spice & microgreens, which normally I wouldn't care for in my rolls but they managed to make it work well! My favorites from the dinner were the otoro nigiri & the phoenix roll! I love otoro & I love a torched salmon moment hehe, so though I enjoyed everything we ordered, those two were my personal favorites. I wish I had known about SushiCo sooner but I'm happy I was able to visit! Will definitely be back again for more sushi... much better than many of the "high-end" sushi restaurants in Boston (i.e. O ya, Oishii, Zuma, etc) in my opinion! Prices are higher than your typical neighborhood sushi joint BUT the quality is amazing & worth the coin! Parking: street parking

They have the option of take out too! We got a couple appetizers to try & each got a different ramen. Here's what we ordered: APPETIZERS - chicken karaage - okonomiyaki-styled tater tots - green papaya salad RAMEN - miso ramen - spicy miso ramen - chef's ultra ramen - spicy tan tan ramen Thoughts: I thought the appetizer portions were pretty generous! A lot more than we were all expecting. I was pretty much already full before the ramens came out. Wasn't a big fan of the green papaya salad. It was missing some flavor. We all thought that it would be better if it had some tomatoes & garlic. Didn't seem like they used a mortar to ground the aromatics or anything, since the sauce just tasted like fish sauce and lime. The chicken karaage was okay. Wish there was more sauce to dip the chicken with. Chicken was also on the drier side. The tater tots were the best appetizer of the three we ordered, IMO. If you like takoyaki balls, you'll like this because it has similar sauces + bonito flakes. Ours needed some salt though. As for the ramens, I personally had the spicy miso ramen. It was missing a lot of depth in the broth that I would've liked to see (& taste). I didn't taste any miso to be honest. Salt was needed too. The highlights for the ramen were the chashu & corn. I loved that they used fresh corn! The chashu had the perfect amount of fattiness & almost melted in my mouth. The noodles were nice and chewy. The broth was just disappointing though. For the other ramens, everyone enjoyed the one they ordered. I tried a little of the chef's ultra ramen & the broth was much better than my spicy miso. Btw, the spicy miso ramen is not spicy at all for anyone who is hesitant & cannot do overly spicy foods. The food was a bit disappointing for me. I came in with high expectations with all the good reviews I read beforehand. Not terrible but not great.

This prompted us to look for alternatives...Fins in Waltham was open and taking orders and allowed us to get the Sushi on time. We tried it. We ordered the large boat raw and maki raw. $160 worth of sushi. The order was prepared quickly for pick up. There is a bunch of off street parking. The restaurant has about 8 various sized tables in side and a bar that seats probably another 6 or 7. The place looks clean and modern. The lone worker was pleasant and friendly. The order was correct and packaged well. Compared to Super Fusion in Watertown: 1. We usually order the party platter from Super Fusion as well, but it does cost like $20-$30 more at Super Fusion. However, they do give you more sushi...but no miso soup included anymore. 2. The family agrees that Super Fusion tastes better. I also noticed the sashimi was larger from Super Fusion. 3. One family member spat out a small piece of bone in their sushi from Fin's. This never happened at the other place, and we've gone to them for many years. 4. Fin's is more generous with providing enough wasabi and soy sauce when we asked for extra. 5. Fin's looks a lot more modern and fancy...they are in fact a newer establishment in the area. The free off street parking matters as well, as you only get street meters for Super Fusion. While we're glad to give a new place a try, and the sushi is not bad, we think Super Fusion is better. My kid and her friends frequently go to Fin's due to convenience and thats perfectly fine. I hope they stay around for a long time, as having options and competition is good.
