Had never been there but I went in and the place was half empty. There were Uber Eats people at front desk waiting. A young man, clearly overwhelmed asked if I wanted a table. I said ok. Waiting for two friends. I had a soft drink. They were very short staffed. The young man had a good attitude and was reason I stayed. Once my friends got there we quickly put in a sushi order. We were in a rush to go to sporting event. It was still hectic but we had a couple drinks and relaxed a little when food came out. Honestly we were happy. I've always walked by Fin's in Cleveland Circle and after 5 years I decided to try it out. I think that the quality of fish is the same as the Yamatos nearby or any regular AYCE sushi place, so it wasn't the best but also not the worst. I think that it was pricey for what it was but if you are just hungry and want sushi fast, then I would just say get it! I was more surprised than anything because the quality wasn't as bad as I was expecting it, and they give you a cool tin for your sauces which was really cute! I also couldn't finish this by myself and it was $40 so I had leftovers the next day (the cuts were pretty thick). I always do take out but I dined in for the first time recently. Got there on Friday evening around 7pm literally just in time before it got packed with more people. My go-to sushi place in the Boston area. Really have not found anything that beats this place in terms of flavor, preparation, and quality of ingredients. Prices are a little high but worth it in my opinion. My favorite items are the Salmon Avocado Roll (melt in your mouth and actually has flavor!), the Fashion Roll (somehow eel and cream cheese works really well together), the Spicy Tuna, and the Crazy Maki. My fiancé all really likes the Kara Age, but his only complaint is that there are no Crab Rangoons, as those are his favorite! Maybe they will offer them in the future. It's hilarious to me that I can order and have the food delivered faster than I could make something at home. I think the prices are very reasonable and they have a variety of food options. If you want sushi, they certainly have you covered, but if you're craving something else, they have soups, noodles, rice dishes, etc. as well. The three sushi chefs in front of us did not prepare it, it came from the kitchen behind where a man brought it pre-packaged in a box. The presentation is poor, the rolls are small, and the quality is mediocre. Once we ate it, it was evident that it had indeed been prepared previously and was served stone cold. In comparing this to JP seafood café, which we had last week, this is much inferior and costs more. I think a prepared box of Sushi from Wegmans or Whole Foods Is the best comparison. As usual when I post a less-than-average review of a restaurant I give the restaurant the opportunity to change my review and I will visit them again in a month or two to see if anything's changed however paying for a bad hundred dollar meal twice is something I don't look forward to doing the restaurant was clean however the staff was inattentive and preoccupied with their cell phones. read more

But today I just ordered from them and was heavily disappointed. here is what I ordered: Miso Soup - Just bland. Almost tasted like it was watered down. just absolutely no flavor, very disappointing. Avocado Salad - Is supposed to contains: avocado, crab meat, cucumbers, mayo... unfortunately I found myself searching for the crab meat. The avocado seemed old since the color was already brownish. And waaaaay too much cucumber. They might as well change the name to cucumber salad. very disappointing. Gyoza (beef) - Probably the best part, but still not great. The bottom of the container was just soooo greasy. You could feel yourself becoming unhealthy. The one thing they got right with the order was the coca-cola. The restaurant was less than 25% full at 1 PM on a weekday during lunchtime. The miso soup was typical, but there was a mild trace of chlorine or dishwashing soap on the soup spoon. That is unacceptable. The Unagi Bento had white rice, a couple cold Gyoza dumplings, grapes, a melon slice, salad, and a few pieces of California roll. Not a bad deal for less than $10 until I was starting to eat the rice and picked up another trace of the chlorine/dishwashing soap flavor. EWWWWWW!!!! After that, I left. I love this place! The prices are very reasonable for quality sushi. Especially for a poor college student like myself, it doesn't break the bank. I use to live super close to here so I would always order take out at least once or twice ( sometimes 3x a week). I'm sorry I have a sushi addiction. My favorites are salmon combo ( salmon handroll, spicy salmon, and regular salmon maki) and they also have it for tuna, for all you tuna lovers! I also get their avocado salad ( avo, crabmeat, cucumber). I ALWAYS order the salad to include spicy mayo and tobiko ( extra charge). TRUST ME- its good! It's a little sad that they don't include the tobiko already in it- I've seen other establishments do this and when I asked them about it, they told me that some people aren't comfortable with fish eggs in there. Those fish egg haters can order it without! The atmosphere is really nice for a date night or a family outing. Make sure to do reservations, they are really busy on Fridays and the weekends. The tables can be super close where u can hear the conversation next to you but that's just a small complaint. The employees and management are awesome. read more

Very disappointed in tonight's experience. We called around 8:45pm to ask if it was too late to order to go, they said no - kitchen closes at 9pm but it's OK as long as we order before then. We ordered online right away. Got to the store around 9:02pm. Our meal was still being prepared. I waited outside, to minimize contact, when I noticed one of the chefs behind the sushi bar working without a mask on. (There were two chefs, definitely working within 6ft, but the real issue for me was the non-mask wearer. The other was wearing a mask.) I went inside and asked the waitress if the chef without the mask prepared any of our food. (Meanwhile, he is still working, handling food, not wearing his mask). He sees me... (meanwhile an Uber driver also comes in to pick up an order. If this was your uber order- please be cautious!). She asked the chef if he prepared our meal, and came back and said yes. I asked them if this is normal... I got no real reply, and they didn't seem to care or address that this was a problem. I told them I am a regular here and that I was bothered by this. It's possible the waitress was uncomfortable about the situation, and didn't know what to say. I said I wanted a refund, and they gave me a refund. I feel for the workers who are uncomfortable with masks on all day, I do. But this is the food industry. This is not safe! If you need a break from your mask, move away from the food and take a break (ideally outside... ) If you care about who's preparing your food, I recommend you look elsewhere. What a shame.
