When I walked in it looked really classy but still causal. I was seated immediately. The service was fantastic fast, friendly, and helpful. I ordered a glass of Moscato wine and a Rainbow Roll. Basically a California Roll with each fish on top. The wine and the roll were amazing. And all of $13! Great value, amazing restaurant!

It is what it is a very quality Japanese food experience we got the yum yum roll we got the appetizer Is tempora vegetables, A shrimp a noodle and steak a noodle. We had really good service our waiter . fast very happy

Lobster habachi with fried and white rice

The server was nice and I think they tried but our food was terrible. A fried rice and steak with a side of veggies- greasy like the oil had not been changed. Bento box with zero wasabi or ginger for the roll, greasy veggies and browned not fried rice. As for the lobster habachi inedible as it was cooked in the greasy. The blue moon, sprite and lemonade and edamame were the highlight. Small town limited options but they gotta feed their community better. Not healthy.

My friend and I were visiting Bluefield for vacation and ended up coming to shogun twice in our four day stay! Employees are extremely nice and helpful and the sushi is amazing! They are never very busy, buts it super cozy and quiet! Except for the covers of popular songs playing, but still super nice! The wait for our food both times was never long either! Our waiter was Eddie! He was very attentive to our table!

At Shogun, I've yet to find a meal that is not delicious; the service is generally wonderful and speedy, and the staff is almost always very friendly; and the atmosphere is just what you would expect to find in a good Japanese restaurant. It is one of the best locations to eat in Bluefield. The sushi is delicious and generally well-prepared. There is a great variety of sushi, and you get your money's worth. It is, however, sometimes too large to eat in one bite as intended, and the sashimi is not well made. All of their soups--particularly the ramen--is incredibly flavorful and well-prepared. All of their food is wonderful. There is not a time we go that the staff is unfriendly or negligent. Many even remember us from previous visits and greet us very kindly. The service is sometimes slower than expected, but this is typically only when it is very busy at peak hours. The atmosphere is calming and soothing, making for a comfortable meal. The facility is well-maintained. There has never been a time when the tables and seats were not well-cleaned, nor has there been a time when the dishes were questionably cleaned. Shogun is one of my top locations to eat in Bluefield. It comes at a good price, in a central location, with great food, service, and atmosphere.

Pretty awesome food and great portion sizes. I drove about 30 minutes to see what the hype was about and the food went above and beyond my expectations! About 10 minutes after I arrived it got a little busy and the staff struggled to keep up and I was sure they almost forgot to bring my ticket. Nonetheless, I would go back however I'd probably grab my food to go.

Chicken curry wuth large portion of rice.

The sushi is great, the hibachi is not what it used to be though, they give you less veggies and rice than normal

Good service, excellent menu. Pad Thai could be a little hotter, but the curries are great.

Good Asian food selection. Prices are fair and the service is fairly quick. Never real busy so no waiting on a table.

My husband and I just ate there. I ordered the scallops. They were very expensive but not very many…read moreof them, but they tasted OK. My husband ordered filet mignon but they were out so he ordered a steak. He could not even bite into the first piece I took it and could not bite into it either so I told them and they would not knock it off of the bill. I would not go back there for anything. They'll find if they have horrible service and horrible food. People won't come there we were the only people in the parking lot now I know why.

I was honestly surprised how good Yamato Steakhouse was, especially in the middle of the afternoon…read morewhen they couldn't be expecting much traffic. The server was very friendly and prompt, to begin with. The interior is nice. Son ordered the Dragon Roll (shrimp tempura) and fried rice with chicken, while I had the Filet Mignon Bento Box. His Dragon Roll was beautifully presented and tasted good. Could have used more Wasabi, and I had to ask for soy sauce. The rice was good, and the chicken was breast, relatively plain, generous chunks, in a not overly sweet sauce. My Bento box came with dumplings in an egg skin? Rice, small salad, small soup, and four California rolls. Everything was tasty. The soup was a basic but good beef stock with fried onion. The salad was lettuce only (which was fine) with your standard Japanese style dressing. Everything was in good portion sizes for my taste. The filet mignon was tender and served on a bed of soft onions and teriyaki sauce with a tiny adorable broccoli garnish. We ended up eating almost everything but some of the sushi and a bed of fried rice. I really appreciated that I didn't feel wasteful. Oh, they had a good seeming selection of beer and wine, though we had unsweet tea (me) and water (son). Definitely will return!
