Consistently good. Good service and never to busy , always able to walk in and sit down. My kids always love it. Only complaint is the chips..some are better..but that's nitpicking(personal preference).

Nice, well-lit seating area with comfortable booths.

Pretty good Mexican restaurant. I really like the well-lit, big, clean seating area and the prices are very reasonable. The only thing I wasn't real crazy about was the tacos de carne asada I got didn't have a lot of taste to them, but they weren't bad. Just could have used some shredded cheese or diced onions or something. I'll know to ask for it next time. The beef was cooked really well, though! I liked the chips and salsa and the staff seems on the ball. Easy four stars, good addition to Tazewell.

Excellence is standard here from bar drinks and beers to service and especially the food. Shrimp cocktail coconut shrimp and fried green tomatoes for appetizers, although the ultra fine corn meal hush puppies are highly recommended too. Blackened redfish with special salsa was tender tasty and an unusually rich tasting treat. Mahi Mahi and Chilean sea bass were others chosen and one solo filet mignon. Conversation Slowed to a crawl with few oohs ahhs and you've got to try this statements all thru dinner. Desert was warm carrot cake and chocolate brownie Sunday. Decadent sweet and deliriously great with superb back coffee. Wait staff never left a glass unfilled and was great with recommendations for an unforgettable meal. Next time I'll come earlier to take advantage of the seafood market ( closed at 5 pm) for take home delicacies flown in fresh from everywhere greatest seafood exists. Can't wait til next excuse to go to Kingsport. We didn't scrimp on anything/ the bill was a tad over $ 200 with appetizers desert and entrees. But there were great looking selections on the lesser cost on the menu too. I was looking for a first class dinner experience and was perfectly satisfied. Stuffed and needing a nap after though lol

You order and pay at the counter and they run your food out to you when it's ready. The team there are all good with the public. The fast casual service is very good and they are genuinely concerned whether you enjoyed your meal. We've tried a plethora of their grilled and fried seafood and it's all well seasoned and quite tasty. Their breading on the fried items is very good. According to the staff they get a delivery from Louisiana 3 times a week and I believe it. The shrimp in particular are wonderfully fresh. If you're in the mood for a meal of good seafood in a fast casual setting, please give Sea Gull Seafood a try. I think that you'll thank me and them if you do.

We saw the Sea Gull reviews in Yelp and decided to give it a try. It's located just outside Lewisburg in the old Greenbrier Valley Mall. It doesn't look like much on the outside. The ambiance is post-Mexican Restaurant decor. The Sea Gull turned out to be an adventure. Seafood served in the Egyptian style with Middle Eastern spices used. The owner is an Egyptian Immigrant living his American dream. My wife had the Fried Shrimp Dinner: 8 giant shrimp fried with Egyptian spices, Cole Slaw, Egyptian rice, Egyptian-spiced French fries done properly, and a small fresh salad. I had the Oyster Dinner: 8 excellently fried oysters utilizing Egyptian spices, red beans and rice, Egyptian rice, and a small fresh salad. The portions were large, the flavors were exotic, and the service was quick. The vibe is very casual, which is great for road-warriors who don't want to change their clothes to eat. The whole experience was wonderful. If you are adventurous in your seafood, give these fine folks a try.

We've now come back multiple times because it's been that good every single visit. The food has been outstanding across the board. The blackened catfish is packed with flavor, the blackened salmon is excellent, and the chicken fried steak is absolutely amazing -- classic comfort food done right. Honestly, we haven't had a single thing we didn't enjoy. Beyond the food, the people there are extraordinarily nice. The staff is welcoming and genuinely seems to work hard to create an environment that's enjoyable for everyone who walks in. It has a great diner-like atmosphere that just feels comfortable and relaxed -- the kind of place where you want to sit, enjoy a good meal, and come back again. I would honestly ignore the poor reviews because they just don't match our experience at all. Every time we've been there the food has been excellent, the service has been friendly, and the overall experience has been great. Railway Depot has definitely become our go-to spot in the area, and we're glad we found it.

Mind you, the restaurant was not packed, but they seated us in between two tables when there were at least 6 other open tables in the room. Server was quick, friendly. I ordered breadsticks, not realizing that they provide bread for the table (I made the assumption they didn't based on the menu having bread and breadsticks listed). The breadsticks were a very odd texture - seemed doughy but they were not undercooked, lots of butter & garlic. I had the stuffed shells for my entree. My salad consisted of lettuce and cut up tomatoes (which I hate), nothing more. Therefore I had lettuce with my French dressing. The entree came out quickly and looked great. However, the ricotta on the inside of the stuffed shells was super creamy and not very tasty. The sauce was ok, not sweet enough for my liking, but not bad either. The shells themselves were al dente, but seemed chewy. My husband had the shrimp cocktail, which he enjoyed. He ordered the chicken parm with spaghetti as his side. The chicken parm looked great, but seemed to be a frozen chicken patty that was deep fried and drenched in sauce/mozzarella. The spaghetti was pretty good. Overall, meh. Won't be back, but we had something to eat and supported local not a franchise so there's that.
