From the food to the drinks to the service, every single detail is outstanding. On my first visit, I tried the fried green tomatoes, the famous chicken & waffle nachos, and the Bleu Monday burger with sweet potato fries each dish was so good that I found myself planning my return before I even left. Sure enough, the next day I was back and had the ridiculously delicious smoked Gouda shrimp mac, maple bacon Brussels sprouts, fire-roasted tomato soup with grilled cheese, and the chimmied fries. Absolutely phenomenal. The fried green tomatoes have officially become my standard nobody else compares now. The Samurai Jack salad so fresh, flavorful, and unforgettable. The drinks deserve their own spotlight. The Breakfast Club with a Sidecar is a must try, and the Basilto All Flavors series (strawberry, blackberry, blueberry) is out of this world, blueberry was my personal favorite. Creative, refreshing, and perfectly crafted. The RailYard is the kind of place that makes you excited to come back again and again. The vibe is cool, the staff/manager Brad is friendly and attentive, and the food is truly next level. Whether you're a student at Bluefield State or just passing through town, this place is an absolute must. The RailYard sets the bar high for food, drinks, and atmosphere in West Virginia. Worth every single visit and then some.

Set in an old bank building, features a full bar with ~30 beers on tap including many local selections and IPAs as well as half a dozen wine choices. That said,The Railyard is more of a restaurant than a bar. The food and service from the staff are definitely the star of the show. Davey (ask him about his previous career as a guitarist for a metal band) and his team did a great job taking care of us. Menu offers a wide selection of burgers, wraps, and salads (including vegan selections). Also try the Devil Arse dip with chips and or crostini (toasted bread). Loved it , great place for lunch.

The place outside/inside wasn't much to look at but the reviews said the food was good. The reviews were right about the food, and sketchy bathrooms. It didn't mention the gnats and flys we shared our lunch with. While I killed several, I think they were just the scouts... The salad was fresh with peppers, tomatoes, and cucumber. The Stromboli and "taste of Italy " were delicious. Overall service and food were EXCELLENT but I don't think I could dine in again. Get your food to go and you will enjoy.

Let's start with the things I loved: the servers were super friendly and there were a lot of them,…read moreso also super prompt. The menu had a huge selection and the prices were fair. And the food itself was...above average, I'd say. Nothing stunning, but okay stuff. Now, the dislikes: really small seating area with some rickety wooden chairs. If you can't fit in a booth, they have like one 4 person table and the rest tiny 2 person ones. The chicken stromboli I got came served on a small metal plate that was hard to eat from, and the bathrooms were pretty terrible. About what you'd expect in a high traffic place like this at a truck stop. It's overall a 3 star place, I'd say. Nothing great, nothing awful, would consider stopping again if I'm in the area. Next time I'll try the gyro.

I was very skeptical going here after reading the reviews, I just finally decided to cave and try…read moreit because all the reviews seemed hit or miss. I live 50 minutes out from here and I had a doctor appointment, I stopped here because I hadn't eaten on the way down and I wanted to try something new. On my way in, the host was nice and sat me at my table, the atmosphere wasn't bad. I was in a quiet corner and it seemed like slow day for them so it felt pretty peaceful to me. I had the Mac n cheese bowl and it was delicious! Very nice and hot and it all tested pretty fresh! It came with three garlic/butter bread and they were lightly toasted on one side and it was perfect. Chad was my waiter and he did a very nice job as well, he checked on me in timely manner that wasn't to much and he was very polite and calm. So I'd definitely say I'm very satisfied with my first experience, and I think it's a nice place to give a try if you hadn't eaten there before. Of course everyone experience will be different and not as good as mine, but this definitely deserves a chance, and if I come down here again I'll definitely come back and eat here! My only "complaint" is that I would've liked more broccoli in my Mac n cheese, but it was so good that it didn't even affect my experience.

I got the chicken tenders and fries with ranch dressing, and it was EXCELLENT. The fries in particular were really good, tasting like fresh homemade fries. The ranch was clearly made in house, will a lot of dill. My friend joined me, he is a vegan, and the server worked with him to get him something he could eat. They have vegetarian pizza, but it wasn't after 4PM so he got a sandwich with a lot of avocado and fresh veggies and took the bacon home for his dog. I gave him my fries, and we ordered the loaded spaghetti side (sauce, cheese, onion) and took that home to my son.
