After having a not so great experience at another local shoe repair place that's not really a shoe repair place but rather a shoe store trying to get you to not repair your shoe & spend double the price on new shoes, I decided to drive a little further & find a real shoe repair place. This place was the 1 that popped up with the best reviews. Indeed it is a tiny hole in the wall joint. It is very easy to miss. It's literally a little house next to the TD bank that's right next to Vito's pizza. You walk in & immediately the smell of rubber & shoe polish slaps you in the face. Eventually an old little man comes to to help you. He's very short & direct with his customer services skills but looks like he knows what he's doing from the wear & tear on his hands & face. I hand him my $300 boots from a couple seasons ago that I love & tell him I want to resole them & shine them up. Basically make them look new again bc all the salt & snow from last year really did a number on the soles. He looks them over & tells me, "It's going to cost a lot." I ask how much & he tells me $45. I tell him these are good, expensive boots that are worth it. You have to leave 50% deposit on your job. I decided to pay the full amount & that way I can just pick them up when I come back next week for them. I'll finish up my review next week when I pick them up & report on the work it self. But I'm sure it will be quite promising as these mom&pop places are always the best at doing these jobs. ******** As expected, my boots look good as new. I had been looking for a good shoe repair place and Shoe Repair Plus had good reviews so I gave them a shot. I dropped off a pair of Chukka Boots that had water stains on them. I did not realize at the time when I bought them, that they're not waterproof. So, of course after rain and snow there were water stain marks all over them. I brought them here and he was able to buff out almost the entire stain. There is still some stain slightly visible but I knew it was impossible to completely eradicate the stains. He also buffed the boats which made them shiny and gave them an almost new look. I dropped them off on a Monday and picked them up Thursday, so the turnaround time was quick. He also only charged me $10, which I thought was a very good price. I was very impressed and happy with the entire experience. I'm glad I finally found my go to shoe repair shop and I will definitely be brining my other shoes here for now on! Tip: This place is right next to the TD bank on 561 so slow down or you may miss it! read more

I came here with my leather hiking boots after reading all the lovely reviews about this place. I don't know if I caught the guy on a bad day or what...but he took my boots, ripped them more, handed them back to me and told me to "throw them in the trash". Instead of getting upset I started asking questions about the boot, what needed to be done, what could be done, why "throw them in the trash" would be the only solution...nothing but short answers. So, I'll take my boots and find someone who actually knows how to fix leather boots. In the meantime, I can't wear them anymore since he made the problem worse. read more

I got three cleanings + one heel repair = $39 i couldn't even believe my eyes! I gave the shop owner two pairs of boots and myt Tory Burch flats. Every girl knows those babies run over $225 a pair. When i tell you he made them look BRAND NEW i am not lying! I am soooooooooo happy with them. my boots were scuffed in the front, and the heels were less than sexy lol The owner cleaned them perfectly and replaced the heels! THEY LOOK BRAND NEW! i am so excited to rock these babies for this upcoming winter. Been going here for years! He has really restored my shoes and I have saved so much money from not having to buy new shoes! He tells you upfront whether he can fix your shoes or not, always delivers on time, and goes the extra mile to make sure your shoes look it's best (replace heals and for not extra cost, colors in the scratches/scuffs). Loved the work done to my much worn and loved boots! I brought in a pair of black leather boots that i bought second hand over 2 years ago to see if the cobbler could freshen them up. He was very professional and told me he would see what he could do. I picked them up in less than a week and he had replaced the entire sole with a new one, polished them and even glued the tops back together where they were splitting! All for only $30! Also, I had taken in a pair of new Frye boots and asked if he could stretch the calf area. He was very honest and said no, that should not be done to such nice boots. I asked if he could cut and add elastic and he said NO, NO, NO! I'm so glad he was honest with me because they have stretched on their own and fit perfectly!! read more

The guy that works here is so miserable that it's sad that he's in customer service. I asked if he can fix my mom's shoes and instead, he said to throw them in the trash and buy new ones. Even if that was the case, he didn't have to be so nasty about it. And mind you, getting a new pair would've been easy but it's just that they were her favorite pair so I wanted to get them fixed for her since it was just a problem with the heel. This guy shouldn't be in business the way he talks to customers. Not only that but he got extremely defensive, started yelling at me and started to insult me when I asked for him to refrain from disrespecting me and to keep it professional. I wouldn't even recommend this place to my worst enemy. Idk what this guy needs but it's def not a business. read more

It would have been fine except the owner was so incredibly rude and seemed offended that we would even dare ask to him clean a shoe. His attitude only got worse from there. I just got orthotics for my shoes. The orthotics made my work shoes (dansko clogs) too tight to wear. I took the clogs to Shoe repair plus to get them stretched. Worked like a charm. Plus it was a great price. ($6/pair). It was about a week turn around so don't go here if you are in a rush but I definitely recommend. This place is so great. I had 9 pairs of shoes and boots that I needed re-heeled, and they were all looking a bit shabby. The shop owner completed the project in 5 days, and upon opening my bag of newly heeled shoes, I discovered that he had polished them all too! Even the hard to find colors, like cognac, he had matched the polish color- and the tips, which had been worn before, looked brand new! This is the WORST shoe repair on the face of this earth. I took my pair of $300 shoes to this man and after a week to put taps on was shocked to see multiple scuffs and tears on the leather. Then when I brought it to his attention he states I don't see it, you're a perfectionist and don't bring your shoes here anymore! Im a perfectionist? I expect my shoes to be returned to me the way I brought them to you, but even better due to the fact you are providing a service. Now $300 down the drain and $20 for horrible work that ruined my shoes that were only worn once!! AVOID this place at all cost, send your shoes to someone who can actually see the work.
