My personal favourites were the hummus and tabouli, balila, spinach triangles (with spinach from Eddie's own garden) and the stuffed vine leaves (which I don't usually enjoy but these were so good)! Our host for the evening Eddie (yes, THE Eddie) was humble, attentive, and had such a passion for homestyle cooking. And then to our utmost shock we were told that despite the order standing at $140 we must order another banquet for the fourth person. Just to clarify, this is not "all you can eat" place where per head fee is required, this is set menu / a'la carte restaurant. Obviously we didn't want to spend another $40 because of the restaurateurs say so. After short discussion we did what we have never done before, we left the venue dumbfounded and shocked describing middle eastern culture in words that would not be published on this site. $40 for food is expensive. Actually it is very expensive. $60 for fish is just a rip off. The waiter was of the "I don't give a damn" type, maybe not rude, but definitely lacking in the service and manners department. Don't think we'll ever go back. For all hungry souls walk to the Bankstown RSL, excellent food for approx $15 a head.

The banquet includes Lebanese coffee and complimentary baklava. At the end of the meal instead of bringing out the Lebanese coffee they took coffee orders, that meant people naturally asked for lattes and cappuccinos and not realizing that there was already included coffee. Then there was no baklava brought out as they thought we had enough sweets (we brought cake and another sweet), not very complimentary :/ With that said, fairly minor things that I would just make sure to avoid if I went again. The food can be simply described as simple and extremely tasty. My go-to dish here is always the mix plate which consists of kebab, tika and chicken tika (a plate is enough to share for two), all meats grilled over a coal barbeque and complimentary salad/pickles and of course Iraqi bread (which is similar to Lebanese bread but a bit thicker and more filling). I love eating the meat with the delicious Middle Eastern chilli sauce that's provided as a condiment on every table. I can't fault this place, every time I go I'm never disappointed. The lamb shanks were so tender and flavorful as were the chicken and lamb tika, the waiter was correct in saying we had enough food as we couldnt finish it. I have never had iraqi cuisine before but I would say this place is pretty authentic. I feel like they dont have to be overly nice to customers because the food speaks for itself, or maybe it's just their way and custom, I did note that there were no females working there, just cranky men.
