    Banquet 2

The food here will blow you away. One of the best Lebanese restaurants in Sydney, pure and simple. We normally order a banquet 1 or 2 and it has a really nice mix of several different dishes. It's served with grilled chicken, shish kebab, falafel, and grilled lamb skewers. The portions are pretty large and we always end up with a take away container. They have a beautiful Baba ghanoush, labneh, and hommous that they serve with the banquets along with a large bowl of fresh tabouli, and of course plenty of bread. The servers are generally pretty friendly but I'll tell you ahead of time, you're here for the food. Whether you opt for take-away or dine-in, I think the food normally only takes about 10 minutes to bring out. Also recommend you try one of the coconut baklavas for dessert. One tip with the parking. The parking lot is a decimal, so I suggest parking on the other side of the bridge over the train tracks and, catty-corner to the restaurant. There is usually plenty of parking there and it's only a 5 minute walk. Anyway, make the trip if you can - it will be a delight.

This is what you get when you order the $15 vegetarian mixed plate. A huge amount of good food.

Amazing restaurant. Big and always busy it caters mostly to the Middle Eastern community which is a good reason to go in itself. Very friendly and courteous, mostly male, staff. Huge servings of all the familiar standards but also with some dishes that may not be so familiar but certainly well worth trying. Try it for breakfast, it's a great alternative to the muesli! Remarkably low prices, you'd have to be quite a curmudgeon not to enjoy this place. Very close to Auburn station so leave the car at home.

Simply .... wow! The Lebanese food served at Jasmin is simply outstanding. We visited the restaurant on a Tuesday night and it was bustling. Customers were ordering plates and plates of delicious and visually appetizing food we couldn't walk past. We ordered a mixed grill play to share between the two of us and an entrée of hummus and mixed meats which was served with delicious pickled onions, mint and garlic sauce. The meat was beautiful and tender, it was so juicy we just couldn't stop eating. The food came out in a reasonable time and it all came out at once - which we don't mind. The service at Jasmin was very attentive and the staff were always smiling and very helpful. We were also offered complementary tea which was by far the best tea I've had in my entire life - and as a avid tea drinker that's a big statement! We loved every moment at Jasmin and will definitely be back!

I love kebab. My sister told me there is good restaurant around this area so I tried…read more I ordered (Sorry I forgot the name of food but you can see the picture what I ordered) Pizza(eggplant )- bomb!! Dough wasn't dry was moist so was perfect match with the ingredients! Skewers plate? Decided to try this place out as I walked past this restaurant…read more There are two seating choices: indoors or outdoors. At the time I was there, there was only one other person who sat indoors. The interior design of this restaurant is modern yet elegant - had some middle eastern touches on its design. Upon looking at the sample menu in the front, my eyesight glued upon chicken pilavs (Turkish style risotto) as it has cream sauce and was pan tossed with sliced mushrooms, cubed chickens and shallots. It was definitely tasty like what the menu described. It has lemony taste, the pilavs was soft yet chewy and the cream was in right proportion to linger the tastebuds. It was still hot when it was served and realized that just after I put a spoonful of it in the mouth. Tried the lemon lime bitters. It was actually soda with syrup. Was fizzy when it was served and you would need to stir the bottom to mix the beverage. Was pretty good as it has strong fruity taste that I yearn for. Overall, price wise it was pretty high for me but probably on the normal range for Australian market. The lady who served me was also cheerful and asked me how was the food. Seemed like many people had commented "loved it" that she wasn't responding to my comment. Will be back again if I'm craving for more risottos.

These guys are awesome... I was visiting my sister in Sydney Australia, all the way from Phoenix…read moreArizona, and have heated of these guys but never seen them, so they were in Lidcomb (I think) one weekend in June (freezing cold) and we went and saw them. They know how to put up a show. Lines were long and it was worth it. We get out order in and the guys are nice, friendly, with a huge smile and huge beards (just like me). They sing and dance and and bake our favorite middle eastern desert "knafeh". Now the food....I've never had Jerusalem style Knafeh, I've had of course the Armenian style called (ghadayef) also the Egyptian style which is called (basboosa) and the Jordanian and Lebanese style. I know some may say they're different but in many ways (to me) the idea is the same. This type of knafeh I had was a very good knafeh, for a food truck baking it fast, but it wasn't the best. Still we went back the next day, we got some more and their tea that they prepare omg is so good. Go for the dance, the atmosphere, the fun times, and also the knafeh. It's really good. Can't wait to come back to Sydney and Experience them again. May be they should come to Phoenix. #TheBeardedArmenian

Can we all agree that it's an outdoor family club that serves delicious dessert!?…read more I came here on a Saturday night, and holy what a scene! It was packed with people waiting in line, eating and simply there enjoying the music and entertainment. These long bearded men know how to throw a party. The music was loud, all the workers were dancing as well as the crowd that was around. This place attracted people from all ages with different diversities and backgrounds. It was something very different from what I've ever experienced, especially when there's only 3 things on the menu! 1 that's actually edible - their knafeh. The knafeh ...where do I begin. That sweeeet sweet cheese dessert!! It was almost like a more textured, creamier but lighter version of a creme brulee. It's a little sugar heavy so I would recommend sharing it with another person unless you have a major sweet tooth then you'll easily demolish this. It was simple and delicious - and to only have that on the menu they are definitely doing something right. If you haven't tried it - definitely go before they move to a different location! It's $8 you will not regret.

Iraqi food? In Sydney? Yep there sure is…read more I can't say enough good things about this place. The owner will always greet you with a smile, a rarity in most places nowadays. The food can be simply described as simple and extremely tasty. My go-to dish here is always the mix plate which consists of kebab, tika and chicken tika (a plate is enough to share for two), all meats grilled over a coal barbeque and complimentary salad/pickles and of course Iraqi bread (which is similar to Lebanese bread but a bit thicker and more filling). I love eating the meat with the delicious Middle Eastern chilli sauce that's provided as a condiment on every table. I can't fault this place, every time I go I'm never disappointed. One of Western Sydney's highlights.

After reading some great reviews of this restaurant I decided to try it out…read more We walked in and pretty much were ignored til I asked shall we sit anywhere? To which I got a nod. After about 5 mins someone came and pretty much threw menus at us, ok, so my sense of feeling like i was being judged might have been accurate. A man, I think the owner then came to take our order, i ordered the bread stew a combination tika plate and I wanted to order a shish kebab plate but the owner abruptly told me NO, you have too much food. Ok so we wont have the shish kebabs can we have some rice. To which he relented and said ok, and quickly left without asking if we wanted drinks, he did seem very distracted, we got up and got our own drinks from the fridge. The food came out pretty fast, and now I can see why this place had such good reviews. The lamb shanks were so tender and flavorful as were the chicken and lamb tika, the waiter was correct in saying we had enough food as we couldnt finish it. I have never had iraqi cuisine before but I would say this place is pretty authentic. I feel like they dont have to be overly nice to customers because the food speaks for itself, or maybe it's just their way and custom, I did note that there were no females working there, just cranky men.

The food served are still as delicious as I remembered when I was first introduced to this restaurant and fortunately STILL reasonably priced (especially for the quantity you get). They cater for everyone from all walks of life. So whether you want to bring a group of people (e.g. family) or want to dine alone...this is the place for it. The smell of the meat being cooked (I think they are charcoal grilled) permiates all over the restaurant. You could even smell it before opening the door to enter the restaurant (the aroma was enough to get me hungry)! The yoghurt they serve with the meat is incredibly delicious - and healthy! It is light textured (unlike those yoghurt that makes you feel heavy in the stomach) and there's a hint of mint on it that will linger on your tastebuds. They also add diced cucumber to make it refreshing. Their rice: I have never appreciated rice as much as I have in this place. I ate a whole plateful of it and still felt great afterwards. Not sickeningly full - just satisfied. They also mixed a bit of butter on it. Taste and freshness in ingredients is obviously important to this restaurant. I'm not usually fond of eating lamb. But this place might have just changed my opinion on it. I'll definitely be introducing it to more people.
