This is a brand new Greek restaurant that has opened in a converted historic church. The menu has…read moreplenty of Greek favourites done with a light, modern style. I had the eggplant dip with flatbread to start and it was a garlicky delight. The bread was fresh and hot and I could have quite happily eaten a lot more of it. My main was a charcoal grilled whole snapper (fish of the day at market prices) served with hand cut chips, a jug of lemon butter sauce and a small Greek salad. The fish was perfectly grilled and beautifully moist inside. The chips were the real deal - no frozen crap here. The lemon butter had a pinch of herbs and was perfect with the fish. The salad was fresh and crisp and complimented the meal. Desserts drift from Greek standards but are nevertheless delicious. Their tiramisu was light (a good size serve) and their "profiterole" was nothing of the sort- lady fingers biscuits with cream and chocolate mousse topped with fresh strawberries. Delightful but not a profiterole.

The cuisine was as advertised, modern with a traditional kick. Everything we ordered was brilliant. Presentation and taste were everything expected and more. Service staff were prompt, polite and attentive and the ambiance was lively and energetic, but personal enough that we didn't have to yell to each other for conversation. Definitely going back, again and again. Congratulations to the owners and all of the staff. You have done yourselves and Penrith proud.

Traditional Gyradiko has opened up in Rosebery!!!!…read more I've heard about this place out in Bexley but since that's a bit of a trek...never made it out there. Well hot damn I'm so glad it just opened up out this way. You can get takeaway or eat in...if you eat in you can bring the whole family as there's plenty of space. They serve alcohol too...what's not to like? You can get a gyro for $9, and if you want chips and a drink just tack on $5...can you say value?!? They have other dishes, but some weren't available yet like their burgers (I will eat you...maybe not now...but I will eat you.) I got the pork gyro and it was fan-fuggin-tastic. Tender meat and their chips are really really good...they must sprinkle the good stuff on them. They also make their own sauces, and I loved their aioli. Will definitely be back to get more gyro goodness as well as trying their platters.

Went to try the food here after it had been named as one of the top 5 gyros in Sydney (xplore)…read more While neither of us actually ordered gyro we were not disappointed. We both ordered a plate which came with crispy, pork cooked to perfection. If you enjoy crackling, get the pork! Side of tasty chips, fresh greek salad, good sized portion of tzatziki and AMAZING pita bread. The small platter cost $16 including a soft drink and the portion size was more than enough for me. The staff were also friendly and chatted to all of the customers who came through. Plenty of seating as well as being a take away shop. Will definitely be going back for a gyro!
