The only things I could fault: - As a university student, I struggled to find a lot of items that were affordable. The place is considered to be very expensive. However, it is expected - the presentation of the restaurant basically gives this away. - I remember one dish that's as absolutely not worth the price. This was the lamb skewers- Very expensive for such a small serving. Make sure that if you plan to dine in here that you wear fancy clothes

I loved how the menu was so different from other Italian places I've been to. That being said they have a very extensive menu which made it difficult to choose from. My only complaint would be that our pizza entree was really salty and my duck ragu was a tad salty but the rest of my table loved their choices. The waiter recommended the linguine con salsiccie e porcini and it was a fabulous recommendation. For anyone as obsessed with truffle as I am, this is definitely the dish for you! There will definitely have to be a trip back for round 2!

The host Antonio is a real entrepreneur and even being such a young establishment this place is constantly evolving with something new every time I come here - and I come here quite a bit! Let's talk food: Pizzas - simple, perfectly woodfired, chewy, crispy crusts, my fav is 'The Antonio' Salads - they're all good but 'The Speckarella' is unique and a must try Pastas - I like spicy so my recommendation is the sausage pasta Desserts - they have a special 'Cherry Ripe Ravioli', it's not on the menu but if more request it I'm sure they'd be forced to make it a regular. Dessert pizzas to share are also delectable.. Simple and tasty is the theme here Great coffees, cosy yet eclectic and authentic feel of being at home with a great alfresco area and vege & herb garden to add that touch of warmth and fuzziness. This place is forever adding to and evolving so be sure to come back again and again and again for a different experience everyone.

Had the bosciola and it was nice and creamy and fresh pasta made it even better but slightly on the thick side but still incredible. My wife had bosciola chicken without pasta which we had never heard of but pretty much grilled chicken with mushroom cream sauce. Over all nice night good atmosphere friendly staff good food. Especially if you are prepared to eat around yellow walls. And it is best to be prepared to come here hungry; especially after an athletic like Saturday. Friday or Saturday nights are worth going here to eat; however if I was to choose between the two different nights: I would be leaning towards a Friday night at this establishment for sure. It (Saturday) night just has a different vibe and feel to Friday night's here; well for me anyway. And when I said come here hungry, I mean it. A chicken parma with chips (nice chunky one's) and an abundant rainforest (talking about the salad here) really packs some punch, and is great on the stomach. Forget about dessert; not even a gelato next door: it would just drown the whole eating experience here. Cute and trendy, the service is also great; however for me the food here is a clear winner.

I went for a late night meal on Saturday night and was seated after 10pm, which was a welcome relief after getting turned away from several places before because their kitchens were closed. We ordered the $20 sampler which came with bread / hommus / tabouli as well as finger sized items such as dolmas and falafels. There were about 5 things on the plate to choose from, all fried, all delicious. The hommus here is amazing and is also available for take away at Fatima's next door if you're interested. The service is great and food comes quickly, which is key if it's 10:30pm and you've just realized you forgot to eat dinner. Thanks for being open so late, Emad's, you're a real champ.

So a friend of mine suggested this place - now, please let me clarify, as I was born and raised in…read moreEgypt, I am extremely critical when it comes to any Middle Eastern cuisine. Firstly, this place is decorated by someone who thinks that Lebanon is a live action version of the Aladdin cartoon. But this is counterbalanced by the authentic owner, who comes with perfuse sweat and all! And for some reason the sweater the man the better are his kebabs - don't question this formulae, just accept it. Putting the decor aside, the food here is good - but not great. There is better Lebanese food. For example I think that Al Aseel is much better quality - of course if you want good Lebanese food you should head towards Greenacre or Lekemba. But if you are in Surry, then head straight to Al Aseel. The best thing about the food is the dips, the hommus and Babganoush are brilliant. But unfortunately the rest of the food was quite ordinary. Everything needed a bit more lemon, or a touch more cumin. Saying that overall the price was good for what you paid for. But I wouldn't come here again unless there was nothing else opened.

The food served are still as delicious as I remembered when I was first introduced to this restaurant and fortunately STILL reasonably priced (especially for the quantity you get). They cater for everyone from all walks of life. So whether you want to bring a group of people (e.g. family) or want to dine alone...this is the place for it. The smell of the meat being cooked (I think they are charcoal grilled) permiates all over the restaurant. You could even smell it before opening the door to enter the restaurant (the aroma was enough to get me hungry)! The yoghurt they serve with the meat is incredibly delicious - and healthy! It is light textured (unlike those yoghurt that makes you feel heavy in the stomach) and there's a hint of mint on it that will linger on your tastebuds. They also add diced cucumber to make it refreshing. Their rice: I have never appreciated rice as much as I have in this place. I ate a whole plateful of it and still felt great afterwards. Not sickeningly full - just satisfied. They also mixed a bit of butter on it. Taste and freshness in ingredients is obviously important to this restaurant. I'm not usually fond of eating lamb. But this place might have just changed my opinion on it. I'll definitely be introducing it to more people.

However, it was busy so you may have to wait for a table to begin with (luckily we just got in on an empty spot). The menu covers the basics, but also done with a little twist, however I wouldn't say it was cheap with some dishes in the $20s. They also had some specials of beetroot cured salmon with poached eggs & wasabi avocado puree (which sounded ridiculously tempting) and jerk marinated chicken, avocado, white nectarine, and garden salad with ranch dressing. We went with a couple of options from the standard menu - a eggs benedict with choice of house smoked salmon (22) and smashed avo (19). The eggs benedict also has the option of house smoked bacon (19) but as mentioned we went for the salmon, and it comes with herbed zucchini & potato hash, wilted spinach, hollandaise sauce. The salmon was delicious but far too little, and all round it was a good dish. However, taste wise the smashed avo was definitely superior. It originally comes with poached eggs, smashed avocado, quinoa tabbouleh, charred sweet corn, chilli oil, and toasted sourdough but I asked for an egg swap to the zucchini and potato hash, which was done with no trouble at all! In fact they even gave 2 which was a nice surprise. This was a really delicious dish, definitely recommend to try it! The quinoa tabbouleh was so great with it, and I am always a fan when quinoa can turn out tasting amazing. Also tried the Summer Breeze juice with watermelon, pineapple, lemon & mint (7), and it was lovely and refreshing with each flavour easily recognisable but none being a key player. How juices should be! Overall, it's a lovely space with tasty food so would definitely not hesitate to go back and recommend to others too.
