The vegetarian mix platter was so good! Loved it!! It comes with hommous, tabbouli, French beans, bahtra, falafel, fried cauliflower and spinach pie and it was incredibly filling and delicious. It is a vegetarian platter but I think most of it is actually vegan so even better. Loved the hommous, potatoes, and fried cauliflower so, so much. Only fault is I wish they gave more of the cauliflower and perhaps took away from something else. It was a very small portion, probably only about 2 pieces from memory and it is one of my all time fav Lebanese dishes so I was a tad disappointed. But everything else more than enough made up for it, and I was actually really surprised with the falafel because I have had so many bad encounters with it I was just pretty sure I hated it, but here it was incredible! Like really really good. They also give you so much bread so you will definitely be full and satisfied by the end of it. Highly recommend this platter. The waratenib was alright, the lemon was very overpowering and hard to notice much else, but it wasn't too bad. What a great find! We opted for the 3 course meal as we couldn't decide what to order. The 3 course meal had a variety of dishes and it was a great way to try a bit of everything. When I say "a bit" it wasn't tiny servings! Everything was delicious and very filling; and we are big eaters! The meal was a great value. There are some days when you just want to sit back and have an awesome dining experience . When you feeling like that this is the place to go to . As the name tells you this is a Lebanese eatery. The decor is classy and music is themed to match to give it the authentic touch . The food options are impressive and plenty of choices . The menu is designed to share so you get to experience all the delights . We got fried Lebanese bread with a mixed dip plate of Hommous Baba and Labna. Great flavours and good to wet your appetite . We then had some meat skewers of Lebanese sausage , chicken and Lamb. The lamb was really tender and sweet and the accompanied dips go well with it. Also a shout out to the fried Cauliflower with Tahini sauce . Will make you fall in love with Cauliflower again. The lady fingers were a must meat filled pastries #delicious. To wash it all down I recommend the Cinnamon tea. Perfect to help digestion after an amazing eating experience . If you are a fan of Lebanese food, you have to check out Lebanon and Beyond. I don't often eat Lebanese food, not that I don't like it, it just isn't at the top of my list. The dinner I had at Lebanon and Beyond was truly impressive. After sharing delicious Lebanese sausages with a garlic sauce for the entrée, I had as a main the Shawarma, which is Lamb marinated in wine and herbs then served with Tahini sauce and Tomato, onion and turnips. It was different to anything I had eaten before, Tahini sauce is not my favourite, but I enjoyed it, it suited the dish and I finished every bit of it. Also they had the most fantastic dessert: A pastry filled with crushed pistachios in syrup, so good!! read more

This place was good. The food options were excellent. We went for the shared platter for 2. You are served up 3 courses and we made some adjustments (no red meat). The dips to start have love. You can taste it, each dip of bread was a joy. But remember don't overload on the bread..... food is coming. We got vegetarian options on the second round. Cauliflower with tahini, spinach pastry thing and falafel. I loved each and every one of these items. I had to share bites in between all of them. I couldn't quite decide which was my favorite. All the flavor and texture was so good. Definitely some the best falafel I've had in a long time. Last course we only had the chicken with salata. The chicken was juicy and succulent and garlicy...... ahhh garlic what joy garlic brings to my life. This was a good dish. I somehow had some dips and bread left and wrapped up some of my chicken devouring in all the delights around me. Eventually we stumbled out with stuffed tummies and feeling satisfied. This is true Lebanese cuisine with true flavours! I ordered takeaway and got it delivered on a Saturday night. This was great because the food arrived warm and homely and tasty! Exactly what I was after and they didn't charge a delivery fee. Takeaway is also slightly cheaper than eating in. I ordered the mixed platter for 2 which consisted of hommous, babaghannoush and tabbouli, lady fingers (interesting pastry/meat surprise), falafel and cauliflower. It also consists of a skewer of garlic chicken, a skewer of kafta and shawarma accompanied by Lebanese bread salata (I asked for fattoush), tahina sauce and garlic sauce. Everything on this assorted platter complemented each other and tasted really really good! Will definitely eat here many times to come! read more

We rented an AirBnb in the neighborhood Kensington and after a day exploring Bondi Beach with our son and his wife, decided to come back to the neighborhood for dinner. We really enjoy Middle Eastern food and found Lebanon and Beyond after a little search. Wow. Right there in Sydney. We shared platters of dips, enjoyed the kefka, loved the falafel, and didn't walk away hungry or disappointed. Highly recommended not only for the food, but the staff was friendly, helpful, and engaging. We didn't have a reservation and panicked a little as we approached and saw how crowded they were. Not to worry, just out the door and a few steps "next door" and we were seated in the other dining area along with many others. If you can, make the reservations. If you can't, take a chance. A great Lebanese place in the heart of Randwick. This place is always busy, hard to get a table so we went early. You can call ahead and book. Great for groups, friends of family. You can sit inside or alfresco. I've been here plenty of times and love it. They have a range of salads, meats, vegetarian and sides. There is also gluten free and vegan options. I have had the platter for two before and ordered this again. As there were three of us, they were kind enough to do it for three. May I say the food portions are huge and the food comes out fast. First dish is hummus and babagaboush with tabouli and bread. Deliciously fresh. There was so much that I could take some home, they even were kind enough to give me extra bread. Dish two was a platter of fried cauliflower (I just need to say OMG wow), falafel (my favourite here) and lady fingers (deep fried pastry rolls with minced lamb, slivered almonds and cheese). YUM. Third course is the meats; kafta, chicken skewers and lamb skewers. All seasoned well with salad and garlic sauce. The price is good and Service is excellent. Food portions are very generous. As locals we have visited countless times and never been disappointed by food or service. Best baba ganuj (go mixed dips) with bread kept topped up, plus irresistible ladies fingers - these plus one chefs banquet fills four of us ... I am shocked this is one of the highest rated restaurants in the area. We are 5 people from different parts of the world and all of us found this place underwhelming at best. The dips were average, the kibbeh was dry, the kousa mashi was bland, the salad was drenched in vinegar to the point of inedible, the beef stew came out and had not been stewed but was just some strips of beef without any of the advertised sauce. The only things that were good was the sausages (which I assume were store bought) and the shish kebab. None of us usually complain but the meal was so disappointing and overpriced that we felt the need to comment, and when we did the manager told us 'that's how we cook it' and that we were 'one in a hundred'. I've been to many Lebanese restaurants in many cities, and this was so far from good. Soon after that we finished eating, but then we waited 25 minutes for someone to clear our table or offer us anything, even though the restaurant was empty. It became clear they had been told to leave us alone by the manager. Eventually we had to go inside and ask one of the waiters to come out and clear our table, as us stacking the plates still didn't indicate to them that we wanted them to. But as 3 different staff came in succession to take the plates, nobody asked if we wanted anything else or the bill or anything. Overall very disappointing and overpriced food, ignorant management and poor service. There has to be better food in this part of the city. read more

Best Lebanese food in Sydney. Would walk past and not stop due to dated decor but a friend recommended and we were not disappointed. Have been back a couple of times since and the food has been of the highest quality. The beef and chicken would be the best however everything we have tried has been delicious. I've been living in the area for 3 years and this is an amazing discovery. I'm very lucky to have grown up with Lebanese food and now that I live far away from my mum (over 4000km) it's amazing to have this so close when I''m craving mum's cooking. My go to dish is the mixed platter for two. No I don't eat it by myself...4 people can comfortably eat this. You get hummus, baba ganoush (excellent smokiness), tabouli, falafel, shawarama, chicken...the list goes on. If your group is an indecisive bunch then this ticks all the boxes. This is probably the best Lebanese food in Sydney's East. Big call but I have yet to be proven wrong. read more

Lebanon and Beyond is one of our favorite local cheap-and-cheerful restaurants. The ambiance is nothing to write home about, but the food is great. The food seems to have some kind of tanginess, which lightens it up, and sets it apart from a lot of other Lebanese restaurants places I've been to. Favorites for us include the Mixed Meat Platter, the Shawarma (or "meat mountain", as we call it), the Beyond Special Salad and the Bahtra potato salad (tip: the small salads are big enough for 3-4 people). read more
