I've been wanting to try this place for a while now. I had heard good things about it, but I was not impressed with the food. The service was very good, however. The kid waiting the floor does a nice job. I had the Large Breakfast: 3 eggs, 2 sausage, 2 bacon, home fries, 2 slices of toast and coffee. The price was reasonable for the amount of food; $13.56 with tax. First the coffee: not the best. I have beef with restaurant coffee in the area any way. It all taste like that chicory crap. Eggs is eggs. My over easy came out as ordered. Bacon and toast were ok, too, although they don't serve sourdough. The sausage and potatoes were a disappointment. I expected the home fries to be real diced potatoes but they were more like diced hash browns. The sausage links were small like the Hormel packaged stuff. Both the potatoes and sausage were kind of mushy. I heard others in the place complimenting the biscuits and gravy and they looked like a generous serving, too. This may be a better choice than what I ordered. Also, the bathroom is filthy, and the door doesn't close all the way! All and all, I probably won't be back. Went here for breakfast and now I will never go anywhere else! Their pancakes are easily the best pancakes I have ever eatin. Everything is made to order so it isn't sitting under a warmer waiting for a customer to want it. 10/10 recommend!! Absolutely the best!!!! read more

Let's just say I will not be going back and diffidently would not recommend . It look very dirty it was a very uncomfortable experience . The servers were very nice. However, the place was filthy. Ceiling tiles were stained and falling in. The bathroom door had a crack in it where dinners can clearly see who's using the single stall from the dining area. They didn't have several items on the menu, and the food took a long time to come out. Out of our 4-person party, we were all nervous about eating the food as none of it was good. Cute little diner that we hit on our way out of town. We got breakfast and everything was tasty. The French toast was perfect, the biscuits and gravy were huge portions for only being half portions. Amazing food and good prices. This was one of our favorite little gems we discovered during our visit to the Branson area. I had the patty melt and was easily the best patty melt I have had, anywhere. The kids had ice cream and also thought it was fantastic. The service was great too. In fact I witnessed the young girl taking orders at the counter pause to take time to walk an older woman out to her car who had trouble walking on her own. I don't often see acts of kindness like this any more and was pleased to see a younger person taking time to help another out. read more

Kind of a landmark. A small mom n pop joint. Grandma Shirley does all the cooking, and she makes the best cheeseburgers in all of branson! Big, juicy, with plenty of tomatoes, lettuce and onion. Fries are great, too. Just don't be in a hurry, like I said, "grandma" Shirley is the cook...and sometimes the server ...and sometimes the bus boy...so come, relax, and anticipate that awesome burger coming your way, in about 45 minutes. read more

Called for a take out. Older lady answered and was incredibly rude. I don't mind waiting to get my food, but you can be nice about it. Cancelled order for that reason and went to Subway. Friendliest people anywhere and talk about keeping your coffee cup filled! The food was excellent and fresh and there was not a long wait. My husband had the pork chops and eggs which he said were very good. I had eggs and ham. All cooked perfect. We'll go back. read more

She carries veggie burgers at my request and they are great. She makes her own pork tenderloin sandwiches that are as big as your head and taste awesome. Had read reviews on Yelp and Google before coming, most were extremely positive (keep in mind you can't please everyone!). Breakfast was really good--eggs, bacon, sausage, toast/biscuits and fried potatoes. This place is small, but delicious! We didn't have to wait to be helped or served. They offer traditional American sandwiches and we were not disappointed. With 4 people, we had the turkey Reuben, the French dip, and the Ham and cheese sandwiches. They were all fresh, hot, and amazingly good. We will be back here on our next trip through. read more

Exactly what you would expect for Kimberling City. I would put it on par with IHOP for the quality of the food but it doesn't have a large variety of items. Cleanliness is average for an older restaurant and the staff is extremely nice. I'm a hashbrowns lover and they have fried home fries. So that takes an automatic star off the rating. Eggs were cooked accordingly and the sausage was your typical frozen variety. My rating system- One star run away, two stars not worth it, three stars average and decent in a pinch, four stars worth the trip, five stars go out of your way to eat there. read more
