Used to be the go to but quality is dropping. Just an example is hamburgers and patty melts sent out pink and barely room temp in the center. Service is still great with welcoming attitudes. Just not worth the drive anymore! read more

Our first trip to DD. The service was great. Even though there was only one waitress, she was very attentive. The ambiance was 5 stars. The Diner is on the edge of a landing strip. The interior was very cool. It looked like they had outside dining but it was very hot the afternoon we were there, so we (and everyone else) dined inside. We were hoping for some fine tasting food but we were both disappointed. My cheeseburger was probably frozen and recooked, not juicy at all, hardly any flavor. I chose "American cheese" and it looked/tasted like the cellophane strip of Velveeta. The fries that came with it were nothing special. The wife had an open faced roast beef sandwich and it wasn't pleasant. We'll give it another chance and try something else on the menu. We're local and really want to support local business. We have been going here for almost a year. We have tried most of the menu and never had a bad meal. Service is always spot on and makes sure we have our drinks refilled while we are eating. They have a very unique restaurant, lots of ambiance and the deck is great place to eat. When you're a few hundred feet from an active airport runway. What a great diner located in Golden, MO! SUPER-CLEAN, really friendly staff and the atmosphere is so quaint. I got the patty melt with fries and my husband ordered the chicken-fried steak. We were very pleased! For dessert, the chocolate meringue pie. I saw the staff dishing up homemade chicken noodle soup that looked amazing. I will definitely try this next time. read more

Our first experience here with couple friends was an excellent one. Loved the style with open space to kitchen. Wait staff was running, busy around 6 on Friday night. Food was excellent. My husband and I had the Dipper (I was thinking we would have leftovers, but we ate it all!). We will go back. Can't wait to try the breakfast. read more

This is by far a must visit Diner. We ate lunch the first day. My husband said the meatloaf was the best he ever had. The chicken fried chicken was amazing. It was so good we had to get up early the next day for breakfast. Breakfast was just as good as lunch. The breakfast casserole and the breakfast burritos were so delicious. However don't leave without trying the pancakes. We would drive a long distance to visit again. The place is clean and the service is amazing. You can't go wrong with the Depot Diner.
