She reviewed and processed our documents and gave crystal clear instructions and directions to the County Tax Office located in the basement of the Courthouse. Johanna helped me tremendously in preparing and submitting the required paperwork to the Department of Revenue (DMV) to get an old family vehicle that had been in my garage for almost a year declared abandoned so I could take possession and title it and sell it to get back some money owed by the family member. She's an asset to the Glenstone license office. Johanna is very patient, knowledgable, friendly, and very customer oriented. I would give her 10 stars if this website would let me. Nobody likes going to the DMV, but the experience here isn't nearly as bad as some of the existing reviews suggest, especially if you are willing to do a little research and leg work beforehand. As with any governmental agency, the key to getting in and out in a timely manner lies in having your paperwork in order, so I searched the web for what was needed ahead of time and came with everything in hand. There was a slight hiccup because my insurance company hadn't correctly filled out a form, but the staff member helping me allowed me to step aside and resolve the issue while she helped other customers, then jump back to the front of the line once things were in order. All told, I probably spent 45 minutes here, which is as good as can be expected given the circumstances, and the one thing that went wrong wasn't even their fault. I can't believe I'm saying this, but guys.. give bureaucracy a chance. read more

The notion that services would be improved by allowing private contractors to perform some state functions is crazy not true. Having 4 of 6 "Closed" windows between 4:45pm and 5:30pm not at all good... although the mgr stated their state contract only allows a certain number of open stations at certain times. I dread going to the DMV and always worry I won't have all the millions of documents I need. However, this was the best experience at a DMV that I've ever had. They had a nice organized system where you take a number and then sit in a waiting area rather than having to stand in line. They had ample workers there helping people. Was worried about how things would go with opening after the stay at home order, with so many people needing tags, titles and drivers licenses. Have to say to say this office was amazing. You are greeted outside, asked for your name and phone number, if you are drivers license or motor vehicle. Then you sit in your car until you are called. This went so smoothly. The staff was happy and helpful. They took the time to clean their stations after each customer. It seems they have a good plan in place to take care of their customers in a safe, timely manner. Worst DMV I've ever been to. One of the employees was extremely disrespectful! She was awful! I don't recommend coming here!

As a DMV goes, this location is not bad at all. If I am in need of their services, I try to visit only early morning or in the evening. My experience has been much better here than at the old downtown location on the square. This location is much easier to find parking at and being next to Jimmy John's is a plus. Nobody flat out enjoys going to get things ironed out for your vehicle, but at least it isn't too inconvenient at this location. read more

Didn't want to Leave even one star. This place reminds me of the old days when you had only one place to choose, gov office to buy tags. After today I wish for those days back. End of the month and only one person. This person kept answering the phone instead of helping people. She helped one person in 45 min I asked her do you have more help? She said one will arrive at 10:45, really! End of the month and this place can only put one person in place? Go to the south Fremont office or even the gov office any place is better than this. Update, went to Fremont last day of month was in and out in less than 10 mins, they have 6 people working! Grand had one person. read more

Parking is terrible, not enough spaces for all the businesses in the plaza, and the lot is narrow so if you get 2 big vehicles at the same time and someone already parked didn't pull all the way into the space, all movement stops. Then you finally get inside, lots of people waiting, and only 2 people working. So 30 people vs 2, and the 2 that are working are also answering the constantly ringing phone instead of dealing with the customers that actually got off their butts and went down there. I spent 2 hours there today, and did not get my son's disabled parking placard renewed, because it was so slow I had to leave so I would be home when he got home from school. I was one number away from my turn. Hire more people and turn the ringer on the phone off with an out going message with the states 800 number!!!! read more
