This was my first time ever, having a vehicle shipped or shipped across country for that matter. I was terrified from all the horror stories that I heard about and reviews that I read about, from other transporting companies. From this point, I found myself doing some very intensifying research. When I came across this company "Ship A Car Direct" my intense search was over! Renee was very friendly, polite & very helpful. She literally took my hand and walked me through every step from beginning to end. She was very knowledgeable about the company and what it stands for and reassuring me that they have the best drivers for transporting and getting the job done in a timely matter. Renee was always available and reliable for any little questions or concerns that I may have had. She always returned my calls through text, email or voicemail if not all 3! Her clarity and customer service skills are over the top and very detailed. Renee is the best! My car was picked up January 24th and scheduled for delivery January 31st. To my surprise, the driver contacted me to let me know, that they would be delivering my car early! My car was delivered early on the morning of January 29th. It was delivered to me the same way I gave it to them. Not a scratch, dent or ding. And everything inside my car was still in place and where I left it. With that being said, the drivers were awesome! I couldn't be more happier and comfortable with the decision of having a sound mind to choose "Ship A Car Direct" The Communication factor was very transparent. Everything from the cost of delivery, (which was very reasonable & no hidden fees or up selling) time frame of delivery and even down to contracting me through emails and texts to insure me that if I had questions about anything, they were there for me and I was given several contact information should I need help or had questions on the weekend. They also have videos to help ease your mind of wanting to know how your car will be shipped and handled from point A to B. They even have their own app for tracking & taking pictures of vehicle before and after delivery, to reinsure that you have nothing to worry about should a accident occurs. I also love the layers of insurance they have as well. Both delivery guys took pictures of my car being picked up and took pictures when my car got delivered. Extra layer of security is always good in my book. This was a very fast and smooth transition, all around excellent! If asked, I would most DEFINITELY use this company again, as well as recommending them to any of my friends and family, when looking for someone to transport a vehicle. Also check them out with the BBB. They have a 5 star A+ rating which also made me feel comfortable knowing this company is legit. read more

Ship A Care Direct, in short, is simply outstanding. Friendly, professional, zero pushiness, and ABSOLUTELY reliable in every facet of my experience with them. My compliments to its team - especially CHRISTINA in the 212 area code! Details: Finding a reliable way to ship a car by truck is like navigating through a swamp full of alligators and quicksand. I recently reviewed my options for moving a car from SoCal to the Pacific Northwest - extensively. There are many internet reviews available - and many warnings about the industry - but most of them feel more like advertisements than authentic reviews. After going through about 25 websites, I found there were about five brokers nationally that are consistently given higher ratings. If you're new to shipping cars/trucks, know this: the standard procedure is to contact brokers who will link your locational need with an actual trucking company. Your broker will find you options at various costs (ncluding brokerage fee) - so the first "price" you see is almost always an estimate. You eventually decide on a real price based on the broker's hunting skills and current market (supply/demand). Summer tends to be the most expensive time to ship. With this understood, I contacted all five of the highest rated brokers. One felt very sleezy, so I dropped it immediately. The other four gave me "prices" ranging from $1060 to $1750. Three of the four strongly warned me about other companies offering unreliably low pricing just to get me to commit. The fourth company, with the lowest "price", was "Ship a Car Direct." Every interaction I had with this firm was friendly, clear, prompt and professional. They knew my region of the country (even though I worked with someone in New York) and they had great insights. The "price" they initially quoted was always emphasized to be an estimate of what they thought I could get my car shipped for. In a short time, after getting daily updates on their 'shopping' progress, they confirmed the $1060 quote. That is, their estimate (the lowest one I received) was confirmed exactly. The trucking company they arranged was superb. My car was picked up exactly on time, with the driver speaking directly with me from the pick up site and twice along the journey to give me updates. He arrived on time and worked carefully with me to ensure I was entirely satisfied that there was no damage to the car. There was none. Finally, I am a real person living in northern Idaho. I received absolutely nothing for this review. It was just the right thing to do in response to exceptional service from an outstanding company. read more

This is a REAL REVIEW. I am a first time car shipper. I purchased a vehicle from NY and needed to ship to CA. I tried a different (Major) company first, had me hanging for 3 days without confirmation. I ended cancelling due to no confirmation. Tried a 2nd company, didn't work out either. I went back to Google and checked for the best companies I could use and found ShipACarDirect. I got in contact with John, who assisted me with the entire transaction. I was really pleased with the detailed information provided to me which put me at ease with the entire transaction. I ordered for an enclosed transport, which is a little bit more than the regular, open transport. The extra price did not matter to me as I wanted the vehicle in pristine condition when I receive it. On top of that, I was given a 7 day delivery date. After 2 days, I received a confirmation text from the driver named Alex. I called the number and confirmed the vehicle was being loaded as we spoke. Driver provided photograph confirming the loading of the vehicle. Along the following dates, I continued to receive text messages from Alex, providing me updates how far he is from me and the expected delivery date. On 06/22/20, the car was delivered 1 day less than the 7 day estimated time frame. The vehicle arrived in great condition, no problems at all, which was the purpose of the enclosed shipment. The truck driver was friendly and communicative. I am very pleased with the shipment. Overall experience, I could say I am extremely happy and couldn't have asked for anything more. I got what I expected - great customer service, delivery with care. I have no plans anytime in the future to obtain another car shipment service , but if I do, I now know who I would be reaching to. Thank you again John for getting this matter taken care of. Thank you Alex for the delivery service with care. read more

Being a first-time buyer of a vehicle off the Internet, I chose Ship A Car Direct because of their highly positive reviews and for their obvious expertise in the vehicle-shipping industry. Ship A Car Direct will thoroughly inform you and fully support you throughout the process. This does not mean that you are entirely uninvolved, because it is useful and appropriate for you to be in direct contact with the carrier dispatcher and the transport driver from prior to pickup through to delivery, so having direct contact numbers for voice & text messaging with them is important. Request a copy of Ship A Car Direct's contract with the carrier, and be aware of how large the truck & trailer will be, just in case your neighborhood streets make access to your home difficult for the driver. If your purchase is like mine, based upon photos and phone calls, have your salesperson provide two additional contact names, just in case an emergency causes the primary and secondary contacts to be unavailable to the transport driver, which did occur in my case. Request to receive the pre-loading inspection photos and report that the driver completes at the pickup location, and then upon delivery, have the driver point out where all the pictured scratches or scuffs exist on the vehicle. My driver was extraordinarily observant and documented very subtle issues that I would not have immediately recognized. I paid extra for my vehicle to travel in an enclosed transport, and after being carefully unloaded by the driver and his assistant, my vehicle was entirely clean and damage-free. Consider tipping your driver if everything goes well, as it did in my case. Overall, Ship A Car Direct is a great agency for first-timers who benefit from their educational and supportive approach, which turns myself and others into repeat customers. read more

There are so many horror stories on-line about brokers and auto transporters which made me second guess my decision to ship "my baby" at all. After a month of talking with different companies, reading reviews and getting multiple quotes, I contacted John at Ship a Car Direct. I was not disappointed. I accepted Ship a Car Direct's quote late on 6/4/21. M&A Auto Shipping was assigned instantly with an estimated pick up in Florida on Monday, 6/7/21 and delivery to Massachusetts by Friday, 6/11/21. Pick up did occur as estimated on 6/7 in the afternoon. During that week, John and M&A Auto Shipping were available to take calls from me. The driver, Alex, of M&A called the day before and the morning of 6/11 to confirm the location and time of delivery. Releasing custody of my car to an unknown environment could have been stressful if not for John and Alex. I couldn't be happier with Ship a Car Direct's system and their network of vetted transporters that assigned "my baby" to the conscientious team from M&A Auto Shipping. I was impressed from my first contact with John to the delivery of my car by Alex. Be assured that I will tell my other Florida lucky-birds of my positive experience. read more

Having never shipped a car anywhere, I didn't know where to start. I asked a friend who worked for a logistics company if they dealt with any auto shipping companies. He did a little research and found Ship a Car Direct. They had an A+ ranking with the BBB. I received a quote from Jennifer to ship our car from Hamilton, Ohio to Portland, Oregon. After receiving what we thought was a very reasonable quote, I told her I would be in touch after Thanksgiving. I was not bombarded with emails from her. When we were ready, I phoned Jennifer and she walked me through the process. She found a carrier for us, and within 36 hours on Dec. 2, our car was on its way to Portland with West Express. Estimated delivery was scheduled for Dec. 9. Our daughter called on Dec. 7 to say our car had been delivered...1-1/2 days early!! We were so happy with the help and support from Jennifer at Ship a Car Direct and the professionalism of West Express driver, Alex! This process couldn't have been easier! Great experience for us with Ship a Car Direct! I highly recommend them if you're looking to have your car shipped! read more

We had an accident while vacationing in Seattle, WA and needed to transport our inoperable car back to New York as quickly as possible. I've had to transport a car last year and had an unpleasant experience, losing weeks of valuable time only to be told the final price would be 40% over the quote. So I knew how important it was in picking a broker. I chose Ship A Car Direct after reviewing their ratings, comparison shopping, and viewing their informative videos online. I had a totally pleasant experience with Ship A Car Direct and their representative, Stefan. I placed my order on a Wednesday night, and Stefan had a driver assigned by Monday. The trucker was very professional and both he and Ship A Car Direct communicated with me throughout the transport. The car arrived two days ahead of schedule. I would recommend Ship A Car Direct without hesitation. They have an easy to use website to place your order, app to document the condition of your vehicle and excellent customer service. Ship A Car Direct helped reduce the stress and expense of an unfortunate event. read more

This is one of the most reputable and reliable companies for shipping vehicles. First, they are honest!! They are clear and direct in their communication. They are accurate in their estimates of time and money for the services. Their Customer Service (before, during, and after) their transport is outstanding. Their use of online tools is very effective and makes the process efficient. They are very careful with the drivers to whom they subcontract their work. Their drivers have been helpful and careful with my vehicles. My cars have arrived in one piece with zero damage. The team is ALWAYS very responsive to my questions and concerns, and they made the transportations easy. I have used them several times and will again use them in the future for any vehicle transportation needs I have. I am a regular customer and have no affiliation with this company and did not receive any compensation/incentive to post this. My only incentive is to communicate about a good service (as the internet is typically filled with fiction). read more

Good communication throughout the process with the broker David, Edy, who picked up my daughter's car in CA 90042, Martin of Unified Auto Transport, and the driver Jack, who delivered the car across the country to MD 21401, all very nice. I had a little scare twice: First, when I booked online on 8/8/25 and didn't get a driver assigned until 8/14/25. Second, when we noticed her car sat on a truck in CA from 8/14/25-8/20/25 (with an Apple Air Tag), and she needed it by 8/24/25 to drive back to college. Ship a Car Direct delivered as promised! (I had a bad experience with Montway from 21401 to 90042, who had a driver with TB Carrier LLC - who was belligerent to my daughter to pick up her car 12 miles away after paying extra for door-to-door, license plate missing, and Montway promised to do better, then ghosted me.) Ship a Car Direct restored my faith in the car transport business! I would recommend Ship a Car for your car transport needs! read more

Having never shipped a car cross country, I was starting from nothing. Websites and research and having to sign up for vague companies left me frustrated and with too many spam calls. And then I found Ship a Car Direct. What a breath of fresh air! They were personable, not pushy, upfront, hardworking, and clear communicators. Within days I had my car scheduled and picked up, for the price they quoted me at! And then, my car was delivered a full day early on the other side of the country! super impressed with their professionalism, their quick response to my many questions, and the ease of using this stellar company in a very complicated and sometimes shady seeming industry. It truly felt like I had a teammate covering my back. Would give this company May highest recommendations and definitely use them again, should I have the need to ship my car back across. Thank you John (and the rest of the staff). for all your support! read more

Ship a Car Direct is transparent upfront about being a broker, and explains the process by which your vehicle is matched to a carrier. Do be aware that the initial quotes offered are still subject to the market rate that carriers are driving, and in my case, Ship a Car Direct reduced my deposit to offset the increased price. My contact Renee was very helpful in explaining the process, and addressed my concerns about my assigned carrier's poor rating on TransportReviews. As you might imagine, many people don't bother to leave reviews unless their experience was polarizing in a good or bad way. Despite the poor reviews for the carrier assigned to my vehicle, US Road Inc. did a fine job transporting my vehicle from NV to TN, and the driver, Guladi, was very professional. Overall, I found Ship a Car Direct to be straightforward and focused on completing the transport process quickly and to the customer's satisfaction. read more

After a week of being overwhelmed by emails and phone calls from shippers - I made the mistake of using a clearing house website - I called Ship a Car Direct, asked questions and got straight answers, understood the process and what was required of me. Although not the cheapest quote, I felt I was dealing with an honest and reliable company. Once I decided to go with Ship a Car, moving a car from California to Missouri, the process was painless. The pick up was efficient and fast, using the photo app was easy and I was immediately notified of collection. I received updates and the car was delivered a day early. The driver recorded the condition of the car on arrival so it could be matched to the collection photos. Having started out so stressful, once I found Ship a Car Direct the whole process was easy for me. If I ever ship a car again, I would use them without hesitation. Great job. read more

This is the third time I've used Ship a Car Direct and I couldn't be happier. I kept Matt's number from before... just in case... and sure enough... I bought an older car in Arizona (low humidity!) and needed it shipped to me in NYC. (The internet is an amazing thing!) Anyway, Matt (funny, cool) gave me a price that seemed kind of high but I asked him about it and he explained why prices were a little higher right now. And hey, you get what you pay for... anyway, it all worked out great. There was a delay for the pick up by a day but the carrier let the seller know about it a few days before, so no biggie. One time I had a question for Matt but he wasn't in, so I pressed a button and a guy named Dave (?) answered it for me with no problem. These folks have really taken a process that could easily make me crazy and actually made it easy for me. Thanks Matt and everyone else! read more

ShipACarDirect is incredible. I know because we contracted with two others to move our car from CA to NY only to have them disappear. First we hired RoadRunner Auto Transport. Gave them three weeks notice. They contacted us the day they were supposed to pick up the car telling us it would be a few more days. Fired them. Then we found Direct Connect Auto. They told us how horrible the industry can be and were sympathetic. They told us they'd take care of it that day. Then they disappeared (turns out they had a F- BBB rating). Finally we found Wade at ShipACarDirect. A+ BBB rating. While unusual on short notice, he and his team found a carrier within a couple of hours. The car was delivered a week later in NY in perfect condition. I highly recommend ShipACarDirect. Awesome company. Awesome service. Thank you. (P.S. AVOID RoadRunner Auto Transport and Direct Connect Auto.) read more

I used ship a car direct to arrange for transportation of my newly purchased vehicle from an auto dealer in AL to WA state. I had initially opted for enclosed shipping, but there was no carrier assigned for nearly 10 days (we would later learn that the carriers were rescheduled and running behind due to hurricane Sally). I spoke to Wade and authorized finding an open carrier too, which he did within 48 hours, and my vehicle was delivered in the same condition as it was picked up, in about 10 days. The carrier was ABP logistics and their driver Vlad was great - easy to communicate and responds quickly with status updates and location, Wade knocked $100 off their brokerage fee as a goodwill gesture due to the unexpected delay in scheduling a carrier, which I really appreciated. Overall, I'm happy with this experience and wouldn't hesitate to use them in the future. read more

I had to move my car from CA to CO Denver. After doing online search and got many calls from different companies, I chose Christina team from Ship a Car Direct. We communicated through emails and phones, and she was so helpful. She answered all my concerns, and quoted a price almost the same throughout the process, it was increased like 100-200 but it was okay. Although the service was door to door, I had to pick up my car from the company yard since I needed it sooner. My car was arrived at the destination sooner than expected, they picked up on the 20th and it was arrived on the 27th (they estimated 29th). I can get my car delivered to my home the next day but I chose to pick it up there one day earlier. There was no damage or scratch to my car. One more thing, this is a "broker" company, so they will direct you to a towing company after you placed your order. read more

I had to find an auto transport service to haul my on-line BMW purchase from Memphis, TN, to northwest Washington state. After a lot of research I settled on Ship a Car Direct because of their reputation, comprehensive explanations of the process, and their reasonable cost. I was amazed at how competitive this industry segment is, especially with increased on-line purchases like mine and with dozens of brokers scrambling for your business. I was also surprised by the complexity of the lines of responsibility if any damage should occur during transport. What it boils down to is who you will trust to do a good job at what they say they will do so that your car comes through undamaged, at the quoted cost, and on time. I trusted Ship a Car Direct and they came through in every way. No regrets, and now I'm enjoying my new ride! read more

This was my first time shipping a car and our representative (Renee) answered our questions (extremely timely responses, even on weekends) completely which resolved our concerns about the process from start to finish. You will have the choice of a large number of brokers to use but if shipping again I will use Ship A Car Direct again. The transport company that was used was also excellent. Although the truck broke down (these things happen from time to time) we were kept well informed by the dispatcher regarding the shipment of our vehicle. The driver contacted us the day before delivery to confirm our availability for the next day. Despite the break down they still provided the car within the timeframe that we needed it. Thank you Ship A Car Direct and Fifth Wheel (Spokane) for making this experience so easy. read more

We were doing a long distance move and needed a reliable car transporter. David Franco was our rep, and was fantastic. He kept us updated along the way. Our car was supposed to be picked up on a Thursday, but the truck that was assigned to us had transmission issues and cancelled. Needless to say we were a bit frustrated and anxious about our car. David contacted us immediately to inform us about the situation, and told us he would find another truck ASAP. Another truck picked up our car and was delivered to us in a timely manner. I really appreciated David being so responsive and answering our questions quickly during a stressful time. Our truck driver was outstanding as well. Eleonora went out of her way to make sure my car was brought straight to the house as I was with two young children. read more
