Just... something I haven't already eaten a hundred times. Sushi Konami absolutely gets it. The appetizers alone deserve their own standing ovation. The breaded oysters are fantastic, especially drizzled in the chili sauce on the side. And then there are the "monkey brains"- basically a large mushroom stuffed with cream cheese and crab, battered and fried into a tempura ball of joy. Does it sound like it could stop your heart after one bite? Possibly. Will you regret eating it? Absolutely not. Just bring a defibrillator and a positive attitude. The rolls are consistently unique and interesting, the kind where you read the description and think, Okay, I trust you. It honestly feels hard to go wrong here. It doesn't really differentiate itself from other places. For example, the spicy bay roll that I got just had a line of sriracha sauce and I was hoping for their own spicy sauce to top it off. The teriyaki was good from what I remembered but again, nothing to really differentiate it from other nearby locations. The service is friendly but they never come back to check on you or refill waters. Even when we were finished, the waitress was watching TV and must have got engrossed in it that she forgot we were there as no take out orders or other customers came in while we were there. They do have a large TV playing sports but no music and the TV was rather quiet. The space is nice but it just felt very dark but we sat next to a window so I could take nice pictures. I think this will be our last visit as there are other locations offer a better dining experience with better service and ambiance.
