We ordered food via a delivery service. Chicken Teriyaki, Beef Teriyaki, and a Spicy Chicken dish. The beef was good. The chicken teriyaki was a little overcooked (dry). The other chicken dish used what tasted like a vinegar based sauce, similar to a Buffalo sauce. I didn't care for it. We have ordered from here before, and will do so again. It came with 2 scoops rice, unfortunately no salad at that price. I sadly ordered wrong thing, I thought it wasn't battered and expected spice. It was battered and drenched in a sweet thick sauce as if I ordered sweet & sauce chicken, ugh. The garlic chicken was also battered!! I tried to place a takeout order about an hour before closing and requested a simple modification to my meal--adding garlic sauce to the chicken chow mein, which they've done for me in the past without any issue. However, the woman on the phone refused, and when I explained that this has never been a problem before, I was met with resistance. My boyfriend called a few minutes later to place the same order. She told him they wouldn't accept it unless he could pick it up within 10 minutes--this was still 50 minutes before closing. He agreed to that, but once he mentioned the garlic sauce modification, she abruptly to him no. It's frustrating because not only is garlic sauce already on their menu with other dishes (like the garlic chicken dish), but I've also had this exact request fulfilled before around the same time of night. As someone who's worked in food service, I understand what's reasonable--and a small request like this, made an hour before closing, definitely is. It felt less like policy and more like she just didn't want to be bothered. read more

The hype is real here! Like the feeling when you get your first apartment and can now say, "#$#% them dishes" and eat cookies in the bed. The Food: The good here is always top notch and if you're from the Seattle area we know our Teriyaki. The portion sizes here always HUGE and you can make any entree spicy for .50 more (totally worth it, take a pill). I usually get the amazing spicy chicken, but this time I ordered the spicy teriyaki beef and it was just as good. The beef was cooked very nicely and the portion size was about double what you would get at a normal teriyaki restaurant. I definitely plan on going back and trying more of their menu. Updating review: Well .... Staying off the carbs so I wanted JUST mixed veggies - no rice. They charged me the $11.25 PLUS ANOTHER $4.50 for stir fry veggies which was ONLY 2 1/2 cups of cabbage and ONE broccoli floret ????? If your going to order just off the menu with no changes - good place -- but making changes $$$$ -- they charge you for every little thing. Once again want to be able to give a half star. I would like to give 3 1/2 for this teriyaki place but can't give 4. Met a friend here for lunch about a week ago. We both ordered the same thing the #16 chicken teriyaki & gyoza combo. Was disappointed they didn't have lunch specials at lower prices. And had I realized the size of the order my friend and I could have split it. She wisely ordered hers with teriyaki sauce on the side. Mine was drowned in the sauce. The meat itself was good. All white meat. The salad also received a generous helping of dressing. The gyoza were my favorite part of the meal. We dined in and it got quite smoky from the kitchen. Luckily the lady working the counter opened the door to air it out. Unfortunately she shut it too soon and it got smoky again shortly. I hate that I'm giving them two stars, but after trying them twice, and our last order tasting so weird, we are just not fans. The first time we went was two years ago, and the food was alright. The place could really use a bit of a make over, as the carpet is old and ripped up all along the walls. The service is good. Our last order was during the snowstorm and there was a long wait, which was okay, because people kept ordering to go, no biggie. Once I got home and tried the beef, I had to stop eating it. The consistency was between minced and sliced beef, it tasted like strong chemicals and I couldn't eat it. I ate the rest, but was very paranoid about what that was all about. Once my husband got home and ate his, he said it tasted weird and wouldn't eat it. We've been coming here for years now and the food has stayed relatively consistent. Our go to is the spicy chicken, it has just the right amount of spice for us. Their salad dressing is so good! Recently, we ordered and the rice was a bit on the stale side but still pretty good. Normally it has a much fluffier consistency. The lady at the front is always so nice, we love coming in. We have only eaten there once or twice, it's small, there's a couple of tables available. But mostly we stop by to bring home. For lunch today I decided to try this local teriyaki spot. It had good reviews on yelp and I was in the mood for teriyaki chicken. I didn't have to wait much for my food, which was really good. I think I got my order within 5-6 minutes. I ordered the spicy chicken teriyaki plate and the chicken did have some spice to it. I was afraid it might be too spicy to eat but it actually had the right amount of spice. Flavor wise it wasn't amazing but I think it was good especially for the price. Out of the teriyaki places in the area, they have the best. It's not overly sugary like other places. Also, best chicken katsu. I've tried others that were stiff and even burnt. Their orange chicken is also really good, as well as their spicy beef yakisoba! We were missing out on that one but now it's a must have for every order! read more

We were feeling hungry and didn't want to cook, and teriyaki sounded great. We called (10 minutes before they closed) and they were SO kind and got our order in for us with no hesitation! The food was literally ready within minutes and the sweet lady who works there even took the time to wipe down a sauce drop on our box. We ordered their regular chicken teriyaki - great flavor and the rice was cooked perfectly. The whole fam raved about the salad dressing as it has great consistency and thickness (unlike other teriyaki restaurants who opt to water their dressing down). I have a near before and have always been pretty satisfied with the food I would definitely stick to the tempura or teriyaki because the wonton soup is pretty flavorless. It is certainly not won ton but uncooked gyozas with a whole egg dropped (not stirred) with some fab age floating around. I wanted to love it but it was lacking any kind of flavor in the broth, and to me that's what make the soup. I did get the tempura shrimp and it was amazing as usual but it was $18.09 for a bowl of "won ton " soup and shrimp tempura appetizer so this is pretty spendy to me for teriyaki joint. I moved to sumner this last August , and after doing a little exploring I realized that the food choices in sumner were VERY limited . After my boyfriend decided that he wanted to try this place because it "sounded" good we went it and took our shot there . We tried their spicy Ramen, and I have to say that I was very impressed. It was very delicious and filling. I would not say that there is anything super special about it, but I do appreciate that it is actually flavorful and actually spicy. I find that with these type of restaurants, their soups are often lacking in flavor and spices, and usually just taste like a bowl full of sodium. I would definitely try this place again and I recommend it to anyone who stops by. UPDATE: living here the past year this restaurant has made it as one of our weekly options. They are consistently putting our great food and we have never had anything that was bad. We will be moving to Olympia soon , and I am sad to be so far from this place ! read more

Service was very friendly and attentive. She thanked me a few times on the way out which I appreciate as I as trying to help a local business during our pandemic. I got chicken katsu with general tso chicken with 2 egg rolls. Unfortunately the katsu (which is my favorite) was really dense and kinda chewy. The General TSO chicken had fantastic flavor which made me want more but the chicken was also dense and chewy. Flavors were there, texture not.
