Apple Teriyaki is fantastic and absolutely deserves five stars, this location and the one on Canyon. Portions are huge, making it perfect for a quick lunch with leftovers to spare. The chicken teriyaki is classic and so good, exactly what you want when you are craving comfort food. The General Tso's chicken was another standout, super crispy with a great tangy sauce. I also tried my mom's spare ribs and they were excellent, tender and full of flavor. Everything we had was on point. The tempura was light, crisp, and very fresh, and the gyoza was really good too. The house teriyaki sauce ties it all together and is honestly one of the best parts of the meal. Great food, generous portions, and consistently satisfying. This place is a go to spot and I will definitely be back whenever I am in town. read more

Apple Teriyaki had good portion sizes, food was hot and the service was good as well. Where I feel they missed a bit for me is in the fine details and tastes. We ordered spicy chicken teriyaki and the sweet and sour/ teriyaki combo. Overall, the food was okay. It did not taste very fresh and felt like I was getting some older pieces of chicken for my teriyaki and sweet and sour. The spicy chicken teriyaki had quite a few pieces that we had to throw out. I wasn't a fan of the salad dressing and found it too watery for my liking. Unfortunately, I also did not like the taste of the fortune cookies they used. The food was just okay, nothing to write home about but okay for a stop. They were pretty quick to get the order out as well. The decor inside is nice and it was decently clean however, some spills could have been cleaned up on the floor. If you're in a pinch or close by it's an okay choice but I do believe there are better teriyaki places nearby. read more

Great food and great folks! This is our go to place when we're craving some takeout! Stop by and try the Crab Rangoon!

My family and I have been coming to Apple teriyaki for many years, it's always been the bet teriyaki in town. I don't know if they changed their recipe or maybe I got a bad batch but this teriyaki is NOT like it used to be. The sauce isn't even the color it should be and has a very sour taste. I really hope this is just a bad batch but it makes me not even want to try again. read more

Apple Teriyaki - T1. Chicken Teriyaki - Japanese Near Me - Tacoma, Washington

This place has been my go to for teriyaki ever since my childhood. They have the best egg rolls !!! They are gone immediately LOL. My family loves them. Their fried rice is so delicious. My favorite is the shrimp one. One thing I did notice during this visit is they gave me sweet n sour packets when they would usually hand out house made sweet n sour. I was disappointed since their sauce is so good. I wonder if they were out or this is a permanent choice. Prices are okay , they have been going up but that's understandable with inflation. Hope their house made sweet n sour sauce makes a come back :) read more

Ordered the set that was big enough to feed friend's son after playing a baseball game at PLU. There was enough for him and his friends with leftovers for the next day! Very friendly staff and super attentive! A+ and highly recommended! read more

Nice service, good portions & quality ingredients. Gyozo was fresh and light. Restaurant was clean.

So good! I've heard great things about this place and finally have it a go. Generous portions for the price and the teriyaki is perfectly cooked, tender, and juicy! The sauce isn't overly sweet and over all has homemade feel about it. I would definitely give them a try. read more

I frigging LOVE Apple Teriyaki!! It's your classic teriyaki place. Cashier up front tossing orders back to the master chef in the kitchen who's probably cooking 30 different meals and exemplary on each. The portions are huge and the price very reasonable. I ordered two chicken breast teriyakis and fed myself and wife for a week. The variety of the menu is amazing, if you can't find what you'd like, you're just a picky person. Easy location getting into it, parking can be tight sometimes but it's right next to the highways even though surface streets get you there easier. I work right across the street so easy for me. Excellent place for quick lunch or early dinner going home. Very good! read more

We ordered on GrubHub and loved our meal. Everything was delicious and portions were generous. We had enough for dinner and lunch the next day. Will definitely order from Apple Teriyaki again. read more

Amazing food and great big portions, would highly recommend everything they serve. The service is great and friendly

Food is great! Fast service on to go orders. Portions are HUGE but always great for leftovers for the next day or that night! I love the chicken fried rice but also have tried the broccoli beef, chicken teriyaki and general Taos. So yummy. read more

I ordered the Mongolian Beef/teriyaki chicken combo 17.99 and a potato croquette 2.49. First of all, the amount of food you get is enough for two. It is basically a full order of each meat and 2 giant mounds of rice. Well worth the price. The potato croquette was sooo good. Creamy inside and crispy outside. The katsu sauce it came with was the best. Not all watered down either. The chicken was moist and cooked perfect. The teriyaki sauce was generous and very good. The beef was really good. I wish they had an option to make it spicy. Also wish they had a bit more veggies in the mix. NOT complaining, just my preference. This place is close to work, so will definitely be trying more from them for lunch in the future! read more

The food is great! They have a really good selection of food and my favorite thing is the Garlic Chicken, the only reason they don't have 5 starts is because I think the portions could be just a bit bigger but other than that it's a great place! read more

Their food is delicious. I get the usual whenever I go, the Chicken Teriyaki. They have always completed my order with a quick and timely manner. Expect large portion size servings when ordering here. I don't need a large serving to satisfy my hunger so I always end up having leftovers. Which is always a plus. read more

The food is always good when I order here. The best teriyaki place! I highly recommend this place

Never been a huge fan of Teriyaki places - that is, until I found this place. Their hot and spicy chicken is my absolute favorite, with general tso's chicken at a close second! My boyfriend and I get takeout from this place every other week, and we absolutely love it. Great, big portions which always leaves us with leftover for lunch the next day. Highly recommend to try this place out! read more

This restaurant used to be the to go place for me and my battle buddy. We would come here every week for short ribs and sushi until lately we started to noticed the quality of the food has dropped significantly. At first we thought it was just a bad day so we gave it another chance... after another... after another... until we finally came conclusion that the food will stay bad. Today will be our last after spending $20 for burnt short ribs tasting charcoal that didn't even fill us up like they used to. It was great while it lasted but like everything that's great it never last. read more

This is the absolute best almond chicken I have ever had. Crispy, juicy, delicious chicken katsu with the yummiest gravy and almond slivers on top. Super friendly service. Huge portions. We have enough left over for at least another meal. My son is "not a fan" of almond chicken and I couldn't keep his fork off my plate. Prices are great as well. Could not recommend this place enough. read more

Apple Teriyaki - a plate of rice and a plate of sushi - Japanese Near Me - Tacoma, Washington

Food is always so amazing, great portions for the price and they're always very quick!

Great food. Seemed like great fresh ingredients and potentially a healthier option to typical teriyaki. Mainly in their vegetable to meat ratio. Only reason it's not a 5/5 was while we were there any employee was watching tv in their phone at a very loud volume. Was unprofessional and wasn't conducive to a conversation w my company. Like I said tho, great food. I'd suggest take out. read more

Can't believe it's taken me this long to write a review. They are great! The sushi is always good the food is speedy and still hot when we get home. Our favorite is the dean ragoon best around! read more

I was in town visiting family and my sister brought us here again before we flew home. I was able to feed my family of 5 off the plate of teriyaki chicken and orange chicken and order of 20 potstickers. Portions are huge, food is great and service was great. They offer soup too which is so yummy my husband ate 3 bowls. Love this place. read more

ordered from there I received a text stating food is on the way and they sent another text saying they canceled order with no reason given.

Went here for lunch during a visit with my parents. I had the garlic chicken, dad had a tofu dish, and mom had teriyaki pork. All of the food was steaming hot when it came out and obviously freshly made, which is sometimes questionable at other places. Everything was good. The lady that was behind the counter (I assume to be the manager or owner) has a great sense of humor and is friendly in that kind of way that makes you feel like she already knows you. She also demonstrates concern for the customers' satisfaction with their orders. She overheard my mom trying to put her salad on my plate because she didn't want it and made it a point to come over and let her know that the next time we come in, she can ask for any substitutes (extra rice, steamed vegetables, etc.) that she wants. There is also free hot tea and soup (which varies by day), and if your order totals over $20, you get a free 10-piece order of gyoza. The location itself is a pretty standard teriyaki joint, but the overall quality of food and service is above those of other places around Fort Lewis. read more

Stop by while visiting PLU. Best teriyaki I've had in a long time! Food was hot, sauce was delicious, service fast

Great little place. Happy service and enjoyed the people. Smiles and laughed while i ordered and seems like an all in all great deal for the food. Where else can you get free 10 pc Gyoza for spending $20 or free "help yourself" soup of the day while you wait?? The food was great and if i grew up in an asian household with a mom that loved to cook and a sister that loved to joke...I'm assuming it would feel a lot like this place. The server even remembered my name the whole time serving me because she looked at my debit card...thats one thing no one does anywhere anymore. Gotta try it out this place is worth it. read more

We have been looking for a place that had good teriyaki since we moved here from Seattle, 10 years ago, finally found it . We had the Apple special #2 which comes with chicken teriyaki, beef teriyaki, chicken Katsu and Mongolian beef and it was wonderful- everything had great flavor and it wasn't greasy at all. The only thing that I thought wasn't amazing was the chicken yakisoba - it wasn't bad, but nothing to rave about. This will definitely make our regular places list. read more

Love love love the food. Big portions and great value for your money. I only gave it 3 stars even though the food is 5 stars because of decor and atmosphere. The loss of 2 stars is due to the "preachy/religious" songs they always play; which have the potential to alienate customers who believe in other religions and god/gods, or people who just don't believe in such myths. Your politics and/or religion should never be thrown at customer's faces/ears - Rule 101. read more
