Nice and clean. It was my first time here and so far Food was fresh and very tasteful Service was good.

Great food, great people, reasonable prices. Definately try this one. Clean, fast, what more could you want?

I have eaten here several times and I always get the chicken and gyoza. It's delicious. This time I got the chicken and prawns. First of all, they were small shrimp not prawns. They were extremely overcooked and tough. I was very disappointed. The chicken was still good but I would never order the "prawns" again read more

Really good food here great customer service. The location in parkland is an easy in and out right off Pacific Avenue the main highway. read more

Absolutely awful. Burnt chicken, undercooked yakisoba. Expensive. This is the second time I have tried this place. Fooled twice. Chicken is Soooo dry. Need two toothpicks afterwards. Burnt on ends. Extra salad dressing doesn't help. read more

I called my order over the phone as I was parking the car and was told it would take 15 minutes to make the oyster n chips. After I parked I went inside to pay. I dined in because there wasn't many people inside. As soon as I sat down the drink came and then 2 minutes later my food came. The oyster tastes delicious. It was perfectly breaded and cooked. And not dry! The chips were hot and crispy as well. The lychee smoothie was delicious. I will return. read more

I was so hungry at the time I forgot to snap pictures of what I ordered. It smelt fantastic though, so I had to scarf it down. I ordered the Chicken Teriyaki w/brown rice, and Veggie Yakisoba w/brown rice over the phone. Almost everything hit the spot, and the reason for 4 stars was the taste of the yakisoba was a little off, as if it had been sitting out for a while, and the noodles weren't the normal semi-firm texture. I would recommend giving UNI Teriyaki a try, for a quick bite to eat, affordable prices, wonderful staff and a great central location around the Spanaway/Parkland area. Their brown rice was absolutely perfect. I will be visiting again! read more

My co workers have been telling me about this place for awhile now. I finally decided to try and was disappointed. I ordered the chicken teriyaki for my husband and the Mongolian chicken for myself. I'd called in my order, they said it would be 15 mins. I get there and still had to wait 45 mins which I understand it gets busy. The chicken was overcooked and very tough. I gave 2 stars because my husband said his was good. Upon leaving I did see the health inspector. I'm not sure if that was the reason or what but I was definitely disappointed. read more

I had ordered the hot and sour soup but it had the consistency of snot. I have had hot and sour soup from many places and none had a consistency like this one. That is not how the consistency of soup should be. The woman at the register seemed very sweet until I brought up this problem with her and asked for a refund to which she replied with, "There is nothing wrong with the soup." Which was the reason I could not get a refund. The bubble tea was very good, but the soup and service was not. This was not worth my time. They will not be seeing me again. read more

the soup wasn't what we would expect. tried it once and figured the consistency wasn't to my expectations so i wanted a refund. They refused the refund because "there was nothing wrong with it". at least have a warning that the consistency will be thick, like gel, instead of soup like. great sweet and sour chicken and boba tho. not coming here again. read more

I am new to the area and decided to check out UNI and it definitely was a good decision! Not only is it a clean establishment ! I was greeted by a friendly front desk person this is my second time here! the Teriyaki is very different from most places where they drown it in sugar soya sauce! its a homemade sauce and I order the chicken breast the serving is plentiful ! it is served with white rice and salad Please don't hesitate to venture out and check this place out! In doing so I have found my go to place!! read more

their wonton soup is my favorite and their staff is so friendly! 10/10 recommend this teriyaki place :)

I went to uni teriyaki on Thursday June 15th 2023 to get food for my family. It was delicious, but that following night & morning I became very sick (throwing up and excessive #2) I am 100% positive that I got food poisoning from eating their food. It's Friday night now the night after and I feel like death. My stomach hurts so bad even though I threw it all up.. please be careful eating at this place. I am disgusted especially because I'm not sure which one out of the chicken katsu or orange chicken did this to me Chicken KatsuSweet and Sour Chicken read more

Menu is misleading, does not list all ingredients in the meal option. Had poor customer service support. Won't be back.

Service was great didn't wait long for Oder a lot to choose from American dishes great choices for a young child and teriyaki chicken was great as well thank you read more

updating this review from 4 to 5 stars specifically because their vegetable tempura is SO BOMB. And SO CHEAP. For $8 you get 12 (yes 12) pieces of tempura vegetables (broccoli, mushroom, onion, carrot, and sweet potato), 2 scoops of rice (a lot), a side salad and egg drop soup. Very impressed w/ their tempura. Sometimes i dream about it tbh.. Would highly recommend read more

I love Uni! Amazing restaurant. With a super friendly staff. I'm pretty sure this is a family run restaurant, which I like a lot. If you go there enough they start to treat you like family and remember what you order. I come here so much because it's so nice and they are so friendly. The restaurant is always clean and ready for you to sit and eat. Sometimes I get take away if I'm in a hurry, but most of the time I will sit in and eat. I usually get teriyaki chicken! Sometimes if I'm feeling naughty I'll get the teriyaki chicken and gyoza. Don't tell my nutritionist. I'm suppose to be watching what I eat! It's just go good. Fairly cheap. And if you get a punch card you get your 11th meal free! If you're like me and eat here a lot, you will want the card. Just ask for it! Lots of places to sit. I will usually come with a friend or two, or if I have work to do I will do it there. You can get free wifi from Farrelli's next door. Since it is so close to PLU a lot of college students eat here. I always see at least one friend when I go to eat at Uni. Nice to know my friends eat here as well. Tip: Get the punch card. After 10 punches you get a free meal! By far my favorite restaurant on Garfield St. read more

I've been to Uni three times in the past two weeks, and each time I've ordered a different dish. So far I've tried the chicken breast teriyaki, mongolian beef, and spicy shrimp. and gyoza. All were very tasty and flavorful. I haven't experienced the small portions mentioned by other posters, but as those posts are from two years ago, perhaps this issue has been corrected. What I liked. I really appreciate that the meats used are very lean. Ive been to many teriyaki places that give you meats that are full of fat and gristle. Hate that. Not a fan. I generally will not re-visit an establishment that serves that type of food. Their teriyaki sauce has it's own flavor, which is pretty good. It doesn't taste like every other joint. The gyoza are really good. I they're fried, not steamed. It's a nice change as most places stem them. It's a light fry, meaning it's not greasy. Spicy shrimp at level 4 was nice and hot! SPICY! What I didn't like. The shrimp was tough and had a very strong, "fishy" odor to them that you could smell through the seasoning of the dish. I'm from Chalmette, LA, and if I know anything, I know about shrimp. This is a tel-tale sign of shrimp that's not fresh. I'm finding this to be a tough one in these types of places, as they're not hitting fish markets on a daily basis to get the freshest ingredients. I understand why they don't, as it's expensive, but in the end, the dish suffers because of it. I was aware of the chance of this when I ordered, so I wasn't too surprised when I got my order. That being said, it didn't ruin the dish, but it wasn't as good as it could have been if the shrimp had been fresh. Bottom line, if your business is doing even moderately well, never skimp on fresh seafood. The Mongolian beef was good. I liked it overall, but what disappointed me were the red chili peppers. They were near flavorless, and had the texture of very dry cardboard. Usually, eating one of these things will light your mouth up, but not these. Again, otherwise a good dish. Overall I will go back and try more dishes. The servers have been very nice and welcoming. Each time I've gone, there's always been people in the dining room, which is a sign of a good place to eat. read more

Pretty good Chicken Teriyaki. Could use a little more meat on the plate, And whats up with the salad? not a fan of salad with my Teriyaki everywhere I go. It runs into the rice and then makes the rice taste like ranch or whatever salad dressing they use. Great Customer Service and the food is delivered to your table fast. Lots of Parking and the inside is clean as well. read more

The vibe is right and the price is nice. Food is good for a drop in Teriyaki/Wok cuisine. It was busy when we picked up a delivery and when we came back to try it out for ourselves. The staff was helpful and friendly. I would come back if I'm in the Parkland area again. read more

I've never been here before & took a shot in the dark based on Yelp reviews & photos. I reviewed their menu via photos. I choose a lunch special........called my order in....... walked in to pay...... my card was taken & swiped then I'm told a total price that was $3 more than the advertised online!!!!! While trying to stop to understand the price confusion, I'm handed my receipt & told IDK what your talking about and the woman points at their current menu which does reflect the price I was charged. HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW? I'm not sure if Yelp or the business itself is supposed to manage the accuracy of the photos & prices advertising but I feel I was robbed! My rating reflects the integrity & customer service of the business because their food was decent. read more

Being right next to Pacific Lutheran University, this is my favorite place to go in walking distance when I'm looking for something to-go with friends. I always get the same spicy chicken teriyaki, but the best part is they specialize my order when I want it spicier than they 1-5 limit. The company here is super sweet, although occasionally it is unwelcoming, I never stay here to sit in. I usually enjoy teriyaki on the go so that I can eat it at home. It is a great place for a quick bite of Asian food. read more

They have improved a lot since I have visited last. The fried rice is really great and so are the potstickers. The fried rice could be crispier and I don't see the necessary for green beans in it, but I still like it for the most part. It is back on my regular eats for sure! read more

We were going to order for delivery when the total was super high but my baby bump really wanted teriyaki so we figured we'd walk in. Best Decision EVER. For $33 we got two GIANT plates of food, an upgrade to fried rice instead of steamed rice, a side order of gyoza (which I highly recommend) and a drink. The food was enough to stuff us and have enough leftovers for 2 days worth of lunch for my husband and I i was talking crap about how the 'salad' was just lettuce and dressing but honestly... I loved the dressing and devoured it. We ordered a Honeydew Boba to go. It was insanely good. Our new go to dinner date. Kinda a small hole in the wall place but so worth it (Was going to take a picture but by the time i realized I should, my face was stuffed with food and the plate was half empty ) read more

Honestly I was just looking for a place to get my daughter chicken teriyaki and this was the closest. I walked in this place at 545 on a Tuesday evening and ordered 4 chicken teriyaki's to go.
