This place was great, the man who took my order over the phone was warm and professional and they had my order ready just as I arrived (I was a bit early too). There was a woman who brought out my beef fried rice, and both her and the man were friendly and personable. The fried rice was delicious, the beef had a touch of sweetness and the overall dish was savory without being overly salty. The restaurant is under new ownership and it's a very recent change, so the decor is still the same as its predecessor Hot Teriyaki. I have a soft spot for Hot Teriyaki, the sweet woman who'd memorized my order had seen me from my high school, college years, and even recently when I was pregnant. But now with Wawa, I'm sure this restaurant will remain a beloved place for the community to grow with. read more

Food: we ordered the chicken teriyaki and two spam musubis. The portion is large so it was nice we were able to take some home after eating. The chicken is nice and tender and the sauce is delicious. We moved to Orting a while ago and actually had Wawa on our move in day. I'm sorry I haven't reviewed it yet especially since I see dated negative reviews. Our family orders Wawa at least 1 time a month if not more. The fried rice is a go to and done very well. I order the general Tso chicken almost every time. We also enjoy the teriyaki chicken and the yakisoba noodles. Wawa never lets us down. The food is good and the service has been great. I made a $100 order a few weeks ago and the owner gave me an entire bottle of their salad dressing! So, as an elite yelper, look past the few old negative reviews. Wawa is good! Cost me 18.75 for spicy chicken teriyaki asked for extra salad dressing because I used to like it on my rice with the side container of teriyaki sauce. Low and behold they do not give you a free sauce for the rice you have to order it separate and the salad dressing let's just say I can buy it at the store. As for the rice it was mush. I have given WAWA 5 stars in the past but when I called and asked about the side dressing the young lady said can I get you my manager. I did not ask for your manager and I should have listened to the lady walking out stating(I would not wait in line.) Nasty mushy rice with no sauce I will not be returning to the new WAWA. Average teriyaki if your hungry and don't mind spending around 20-30 bones for two people. Portion size is ample for two. I've eaten here three times now - it's decent but not great teriyaki - all the standards (short ribs, katsu, teriyaki, yakisoba, etc.) with some Chinese menu items as well. Portion size is very good - were the food better, I'd have had to take it home. Alas, it just isn't that good. The katsu is always way over cooked and dry. The teriyaki is pretty average. The one time I tried the short ribs they were really really fatty - not that I expect them to be lean. But this was the sort of fatty that really isn't too edible. Cozy interior with ample seating - and very nice staff (I believe she's the owner - the only person I've ever seen here). Just average teriyaki - 2 stars. read more
