Noticed two months later a new charge came through on my card... immediately reached out. After looking into it, realized I'd been charged two more times. No worries, contacted the vendor cause companies are usually helpful when things like this happen. Nope, not these guys... they were basically like, sorry NOT sorry. Even though my daughter only went one more time because she said the wash DID NOT EVEN GET HER CAR CLEAN, so she didn't bother going again. I explained that we didn't know it was a recurring subscription, I had asked to sign up for the month, there was such a long line of cars waiting, the guy didn't tell me anyyyy info other than giving me the form and the spots to mark (why wouldn't that be the first thing they say????)... but I guess I should have paused and read the fine print. True, that's my bad, but I guess I'm too trusting in a local vendor? Especially when I stated I just wanted to sign up for the month... not indefinitely. They did offer to extend the car washes for two months, but given the fact that my daughter's car barely got clean AND there are several reviews about cars being scratched, I'd rather eat the money and support another local business. I basically paid, $87 for two mediocre car washes, 4 unhelpful customer service emails and a whole waste of my time.

The lounge is clean and comfortable, the team is friendly, and everything feels well-run from the moment you pull in. Picked up the car and didn't think anything of it, didn't inspect the paint too closely because I assumed by the high reviews I'd be fine and taken care of. After going to fill gas at Costco the next day, under their great lighting, I noticed that my paint had swirls in it. Then I opened the gas cap and saw layer of dirt on the cap area. I've only had the car washed twice in its life (new car) and it was both done by Unique Car Wash, so there's no way it was done elsewhere, and even if it was, a wax should have taken care of the swirls by filling the scratches. This is probably the result of the place not doing a proper 2 step wash, using dirty microfiber towels and not even waxing the car. Other places offered the same service for $150 and offer claybar, wax, and other services. So I paid for a high end service, received a mediocre interior and exterior cleaning, and swirls in my paint. Don't recommend going here if you actually care about your cars paint, and if you want quality work done for a good price. Might as well take it to a drive through wash.

I'm canceling my membership because of how this situation was handled…read more I've been a Fast5 Xpress Car Wash member for almost 10 years. After a decade of paying for this service, I expected that when a legitimate concern came up, it would at least be handled professionally and followed through to a conclusion. Unfortunately, that was not my experience at the Costa Mesa location. I went through this car wash, and the following day I noticed a crack in the upper portion of my windshield. I contacted the location and spoke with the manager, Cynthia. She asked me to bring the vehicle in so the damage could be documented. I did exactly that. The vehicle was inspected and an official incident report was completed that specifically lists the incident as "Cracked windshield." I was then told that I would receive a phone call regarding the matter. That call never came. After waiting approximately a week, I contacted the location myself. Rather than receiving an update, I was told I needed to bring the vehicle back again. This was confusing considering I had already made a trip specifically to show them the damage, had an incident report completed, and had been told someone would contact me. Unfortunately, shortly afterward my vehicle experienced an unrelated transmission failure and was undrivable for approximately a month while I waited for the necessary repairs. Once the vehicle was operational again, I returned to the car wash as requested. Cynthia was not there, so I spoke with another employee. Once again, I was told that I would receive a phone call. Once again, nobody called. This is now the second time after a month. At this point, my frustration is less about whether Fast5 ultimately accepts or denies responsibility and more about the complete lack of follow-through. If the company believes it isn't responsible, then tell me that. If the incident requires investigation, then investigate it and communicate the result. What isn't acceptable is asking a customer to make multiple trips, documenting the damage on an incident report, repeatedly promising a follow-up, and then simply not responding at all. The photos attached to this review document the windshield damage from multiple angles, including close-ups from inside and outside the vehicle. I've also included photos from the car wash itself and the incident report completed by the location documenting the cracked windshield. I normally used the Fullerton location, where I originally signed up, and I remained a customer for roughly 10 years. That's what makes this especially disappointing. Fast5 isn't losing a decade-long customer simply because there was a dispute over a windshield. They're losing a decade-long customer because when something went wrong, nobody could be bothered to give that customer an answer. After approximately 10 years of membership, I'm canceling. And based on my experience, if you notice damage after using this location, take pictures immediately, document everything, keep copies of the paperwork, and don't assume that filing an incident report means someone will actually follow up with you.
