    I don't have enough superlatives to express how truly wonderful working with Jessica was for our wedding! We initially asked her to do our day of coordination plus some organization of vendors and referrals before hand. Unfortunately, due to the global pandemic, we had to cancel our original larger gathering and held a small church ceremony instead. Our wedding day would not have been as smooth or as beautiful were it not for the amazing organization, care, hard work, and amazing energy of Jessica Harris! She went above and beyond for our wedding and even captured it on Zoom for our guests! Her recording of the Zoom feed is a priceless gift that we'll treasure forever! Jessica has an amazing talent of anticipating what you need before you know you need it and is super detail oriented! She juggled all the tech for the wedding and was super gracious with her time before the wedding-she went to the ceremony site to make sure we could do a virtual rehearsal. She was the point person and we feel so grateful that she could still help on our wedding day! I can't stress enough how amazing she is and would wholeheartedly recommend Shine Event Productions for wedding planning and coordination. We spoke to several other planners and Jessica was the only person who shared our values and was excited to work with us (even though we had a modest budget). She is incredible and we can't wait to work with her again once we reschedule the larger wedding!

    My husband and I got married 11/28/21 and hiring Jessica was the BEST decision we made. From the first zoom call I had with Jessica I knew she would make our special day perfect, and that is exactly what she did. I worked with Jessica for 2-3 months leading up to our wedding and she went above and beyond to make sure every little detail was taken care of. I usually like to be in control but Jessica made me feel at ease handing everything over to her. She handled all the communication with vendors, coordinating with the venue, and creating a very detailed day of time line. Jessica executed EVERYTHING perfectly - planning, rehearsal, decor set up, vendor management. Literally all I had to do was show up - everything was taken care of. I could not have asked for a more genuine, fun, caring person to be part of our wedding day. Jessica is amazing and I will be forever grateful.

    We loved working with Jessica Harris (Shine Event Productions)! PROFESSIONAL | ORGANIZED | COMMUNICATIVE | CLUTCH | DELIGHTFUL As organized as we were, we probably would not have been able to relax or enjoy our wedding if not for our day-of coordinator. Jessica was the perfect point person, making sure things ran smoothly and efficiently, always with a smile on her face. We never had to check the time or think about the schedule of events because she made sure things moved along and stayed on track; she always made sure we had what we needed--and a drink in our hand at all times, and if anything went wrong (e.g. the aisle runner wouldn't stay in place, we ran out of disposable cups at the reception, etc.), she made last-minute decisions for us so that we didn't have to worry about any of it! If you are on the fence about hiring a wedding planner, we recommend at least talking with Jessica--she has a lot of experience and provided us with a lot of good options.

    Our wedding was this past weekend at the Brazil Room, and we hired Jessica with Shine Event Productions to be our Month-of-Coordinator. I didn't realize that when we found Jessica here on Yelp, that we found a Fairy God Mother, Super Woman, and the BEST Wedding Coordinator in the entire Bay Area! I quickly learned of Jessica's capabilities when we first met with her three months before our wedding. Not only did she have the most calm and professional demeanor, you felt that you were meeting with an old friend rather than sitting in on a business meeting. I respected and loved her story - CAL educated and smart corporate employee leaves it all to pursue her dreams in creative event productions! Love! We decided to hire her for her month-of-coordination package. Leading up to the wedding she sent multiple checklists that helped us organize our DIY wedding. As time got closer, she checked in and made sure that we were okay, and we met personally twice more to discuss all the details. Additionally, she contacted all the vendors on my behalf and made sure I was not stressed out about anything. Furthermore, she ran our rehearsal the day before the wedding, and even stayed as our guest for our Thai Ceremony afterwards. This meant a lot to us because she was able to connect with my friends and family before the wedding, and they grew to trust and be comfortable with her on our wedding! On the day of the wedding, everything went perfectly! Everyone said I was the least "Bridezilla" and not stressed at all during the wedding. Much of this had to do with Jessica, who executed the vision of my DIY decorations perfectly. I am a control freak, had a gazillion details, and really picky with how it would all turn out. However, I was NOT worried at all because I knew my vision was in good hands. Additionally, she coordinated with our caterer, DJ, and other vendors. She made sure everyone stuck to the tight timeline. Her positive and stress-free attitude kept everyone in the bridal party calm, and I was so comforted to know that my special day was in such good hands! I cannot recommend Jessica enough for her event services for a wedding or any other special event! Jessica is mature, talented, calming, and has the most infectious smile that will radiate your wedding day! Check out her services on her website and meet with her! You will not be disappointed!

It was one of the best decisions we made during planning! We worked with Christine Nguyen starting ~2 months in advance of the wedding. She met with us weekly to lock in our details (most notably, a super tight and clear timeline). We had everything so well planned (thanks to Christine) that our last few months leading up to the wedding were waaaay more relaxed than we would have anticipated. On the day of, Christine and her assistant Jane were on top of everything! I don't think I batted an eyelash the whole day because they were hustling so hard behind the scenes to make everything feel totally smooth for us. On tope of the incredible execution, it's worth noting that we felt Christine's genuine excitement for us all throughout the process. She brought the best energy from day one and we felt it right up to the end of the wedding day. 10/10 would recommend!

When my friends and I were deep in conversations, I forgot we were in a closed room and it felt like we were sitting at a table in a forest instead! We loved all the fun and pretty details in the woodland room. We loved the other rooms too and appreciate how we were able to walk through all of them, take pics, and play around! We loved all of the food and drinks that were served. We had blueberry scones, tea, lemonade, various finger sandwiches, salad, cheesecake, and sparkling cider. We were able to take home the leftover food and we had plenty to eat between the 6 of us. Denise is friendly and easy to communicate with both via email and in person. I'm so glad I reserved her woodland room for my bridal shower. She made the day feel so special and fun! She was so kind and accommodating (even when I made some last minute asks two weeks prior to the wedding) and willing to work within our price point. I sent her a few example photos of what I wanted, and she took it from there! While we never met in person leading up to the big day, she's communicative and asked a ton of questions to make sure she could bring our vision to life. SHE DID! (See photos.) When planning a wedding, there are so many details and decisions to make (ie: stress) over. Don't make things more complicated than they have to be! If you've found Anna - CELEBRATE! From the start, she was really easy to communicate with, took in all the photo examples I sent her, and she completely incorporated what I was picturing for our wedding day. I didn't see a lot of examples of Anna's work in the style I wanted beforehand so I wasn't totally sure how the arrangements would look, but the flowers were even more beautiful than I had hoped. She really nailed the loose & romantic look that we'd talked about, and since we didn't really have "wedding colors" she incorporated the fall tones that we wanted perfectly. She was at the venue to set up right on time, made sure all the arrangements were placed in the right spots, and came back at the end of the night to pick up the larger vases and trees we'd rented from her. The more I look at photos, the more I realize just how much Anna did for us that day, from the fairy lights strung around the manzanita trees, to the 6-foot leaf garland at our head table, to the aisle arrangements in galvanized buckets. The flowers at our wedding were probably the one thing I had the highest expectations for, and Anna gave us something so beautiful and memorable.

    Hiring Courtney was easily the best decision we made in our wedding planning process. "Above and…read morebeyond" does not begin to cover Courtney's level of service, care, and thoughtfulness. Throughout the months we worked together, Courtney always made us feel like a priority, though she was no doubt juggling so much. On our wedding day, every detail we worked on was executed flawlessly, and we were truly able to breathe and be present because we knew Courtney had it all under control. We got many compliments from our guests on how smooth and relaxed the day felt, and that is a testament to Courtney's incredibly hard work. I would also note that Courtney was completely respectful of our budget and priorities. She puts in the time to learn what is important to you, and keeps that in mind as she offers excellent, candid advice. Courtney also went out of her way to save us money in ways we simply would not have thought of on our own. A final note to anyone on the fence about hiring a coordinator: Do it! (Specifically, Courtney!) I consider myself a fairly organized and detail-oriented person, so when I started planning, I wasn't sure that I needed a coordinator. But I now believe that the more organized you are, the more you appreciate and value a partner at (or, in Courtney's case, way above) your level. Weddings are truly their own category of event, and there is no substitute for a coordinator's guidance and experience--especially someone as amazing as Courtney!

My daughter was dealing with a lot of stress because of her job at the FDA/politics. Also, the three did not like the extra cost of the Wedding Planner & viewing it as a needless expense. Her wedding plans was not her main priority even thought she wanted a 100 person wedding. One thing her and her fiancé agreed on is they wanted to invite pretty much everyone. That of course scared the living daylights out of me since I knew the couple was not rich. I think at one point I even threatened her that I was going to bring 100 McDonald's hamburgers for the reception if she didn't get on the planning. I asked a good friend who is a successful caterer in her own right (40yr +); who could she recommend. I might add that she has worked with many Wedding Planners through out her career. She instantly said without hesitation that Courtney really impressed her. My friend went on to explain about the wedding planning world. It is expensive and items can be recommended pushing the wedding easily out of budget. She liked that Courtney stayed within the wedding budgets. They did spend a little more but it was reasonable. All I knew was Sarah had to schedule/confirm many different moving parts in advance and she was not doing that. Another thing was to not go into debt or have a wedding beyond her means. I first called Courtney and immediately knew she was exactly what my daughter needed. Courtney and my daughter have the same temperament and easy to get along attitude. She gently gave the bride and groom a reality check about the cost of weddings. I called Courtney and immediately found her professional but with a very warm personality; much like my daughter. Also, I liked her enthusiasm about the project. I felt very comfortable confiding sensitive details regarding the wedding. This was a major plus. I set up a three-way call with Courtney, myself and my daughter, Sarah. I introduced them and ended my part of the call. My daughter immediately hired her. My daughter is pretty darn smart. I loved that I could stop pulling my hair out and gnashing my teeth. Courtney would take care of my daughter and I could just have normal stress free conversations again with Sarah. And the most important thing; Eric and Sarah could have the wedding of their dreams close to budget too! I usually talk to my daughter once a week just to chat. She would tell me that Courtney had assignments she and Eric had to accomplish monthly/weekly. Did I mention Courtney is brilliant! It was so amazing that Courtney orchestrated/worked with the venue, the menu and bar, music, fresh flowers and photography. Each one was performed beautifully. Courtney made it so easy because she did all the work. I think the only thing I was asked to do was to provide about 30 songs to the song list, attend the rehearsal dinner and wedding. Of course my wonderful daughter ask for a mother/daughter dance which include a snippet of MJ, Thriller & George Michael, Careless Whisper. Warning: be careful what you tell your 4 yr old; they might remember. Really that was it. I don't know how to describe this absolutely gorgeous & fun wedding. Everyone in the wedding party was stress-free, which is exactly what you wish for. I loved how Courtney would listen to input. We could trust her to tell us the truth on whether it was appropriate or not and we listened to her suggestions. One thing I insisted on was that the bride & groom give her a generous tip. It was obvious that Courtney worked very hard on this wedding and presented an absolute gorgeous event a little over budget. BTW, the tip is non-negotiable but the amount is. I insisted that the tips were good because the wedding was that great. My daughter later told me I was right to insist on a Wedding Planner. I'm still laughing. The bride and groom, the wedding party will remember a perfect & relaxing event. The chamborg bong was an event in it self and everyone should have a very well behaved coyote attending. It must be said that we adore Courtney. We can never thank her enough and we'll never forget her. Wishing her the very best~ ~No, this is not a paid advertisement.

Other small details would make a minus one star but if i were to plan another wedding for someone I knew this would be an amazing option. The good first: COMMUNICATION: The staff were amazing at communicating with the wedding party and being patient with our questions and concerns. We picked a package but because we did brunch (which isnt really a thing they do but they made it work for us) we tweaked our day and they really worked with us subbing things out and subbing other things in. Like they gave us a choice to have mimoas and cut down on an hour of bar time (who can have brunch without welcome mimosas!!!) :) THE FOOD: OMG I got many great compliments on the food and again it was brunch but very filling. I almost wished I was a guest so I could fully experience it all! THE SETUP OF THE WEDDING ITSELF: THIS IS WHAT COUNTS AS A BRIDE! When we walked in the room for the first time during the rehearsal I wanted to cry. Happy tears. Everything was JUST HOW I PLANNED IT IN MY HEAD! I kept sitting down at the tables and looking around and was just in awe with how they put together all of my details. It was PERFECT. I felt like I was in a dream. They even set up the games for the kids outside in the shade. PERFECT. COST: I thought the cost was actually very reasonable. For an all-inclusive wedding we got a lot of bang for our buck. Our package included an officiant who was amazing, a DJ host who was hilarious and let us lead our day the way we wanted, a photo booth which was amazing, beautiful table cloths, chargers, beautiful chairs and a buffet brunch PLUS unlimited alcohol! SETTING: We were able to set up the arbor with our own decor and it was simply amazing. We brought in a large circular wreath we made to hang during the ceremony and the florist let us borrow some stands to put fresh flowers we brought in. The bad: This section is not as long! LOL TURNOVER: Staff turnover did affect us a bit as we had to re-explain things when new staff came in. We also got into a hiccup because we were supposed to get married in March 2020 and yall know how that went. We ended up moving the wedding twice which was not easy. We had to get the manager involved because there was some miscommunication but because it all got settled I cant complain too much now. DAY OF: It was very hot for an outdoor July wedding and the guests were super hot. I would have liked it if the hostess would have brought out water while waiting for the ceremony to begin and during the ceremony as one of our guests fell out from heat stroke (literally). The ambulance was not a pretty sight. :( MY WAITING: I found myself ready on time but didn't get the okay to walk out until I was technically late. A bit more communicating with the bride would be good. If it was an issue with the rest of the wedding party that would be good to know next time. COCKTAIL HOUR: During photos we the bridal party did not get a chance to eat the appetizers and I would have liked it if they would have set us some on our ballroom table to enjoy. I didn't get to eat any as I was busy the whole hour taking photos. GETTING READY ROOM: I wish they had a place for the groom to get dressed. He had to "pretend" in the main hallway. Also our room was pretty small considering I had a small wedding party. The bathroom was also in the hall so if I had to use the loo I had to risk someone seeing me. DONT LET THE CONS STOP YOU. This place may be all inclusive but you CAN have your say in many of the things. We brought in tons of our own decor and it was just so nice. I am a real hands on person and felt like I had a great deal of personalization in my wedding here. Just heed some of my warnings to avoid if you have a summer wedding.
