By Elise Events & DesignElise planned our wedding at Filoli Gardens in the summer of 2025, and I…read moretruly cannot sing her praises enough. Before meeting her, we had spoken with several planners and were getting the sense that a Filoli wedding might not be possible within our price range. Before we were about to give up on our dream venue, Elise thankfully took our call. From our very first conversation, she immediately put us at ease and reassured us that we could absolutely create something beautiful within our budget. She was intentional from the beginning, taking the time to genuinely get to know us--our personalities and preferences--before diving into the planning process. Because of that, every idea she presented felt thoughtful, personal, and curated to who we are as a couple. Throughout the year of planning, Elise was attentive, patient, and a joy to collaborate with. There were many times when she'd proactively suggest ways to stay within budget, even when it meant prioritizing us over her own bottom line. That level of integrity and care speaks volumes about her character. On the day of the wedding, I was stressed and anxious (as many brides are!), but having Elise at my side helped me find a sense of calm. She has this grounding presence that lets you know that everything is under control. Somehow, she managed to greet guests as they arrived, oversee every moving part of the event, and still remain by my side whenever I needed her. There were countless "save-the-day" moments. One that stands out: minutes before walking down the aisle, I was frantically trying to handwrite my typed vows onto notecards, hands shaking and overwhelmed. Out of nowhere, Elise stepped in and told us there was a printer on the property and promptly took care of the situation, thoughtfully printing my vows in index-card format so I didn't have to hold a big piece of paper at the altar. It wasn't until the wedding day itself that I fully realized just how much coordination she and her team had handled behind the scenes. She had even thought of small but meaningful touches, like IV hydration packets for our guests. Throughout the evening, I kept thinking, "Wow, Elise really pulled all of this off." Friends and family told us that it was the most beautifully organized and seamlessly executed wedding they had ever attended. Many also commented how stressful it must have been for my husband and me to plan a wedding of such scale and beauty, and I'd laugh and say, "Not at all--that was all Elise!". We gave her a vision, and she handled the rest! Our wedding was truly the best day of our lives, filled with joy and memories we'll cherish forever. And it was largely due to Elise and her team, whose kindness, foresight, and meticulous preparation were evident throughout the entire day. All of this is to say that if you are considering working with Elise, know that you will be in the best hands. Thank you, Elise and team!

Despite all the stresses weddings can bring, we felt assured that Elise was on top of things. Things we appreciated about her: -She took time to understand our vision on both a macro and micro level -Took time to know our famillies and what they valued in a ceremony -Incredibly creative and thoughtful about all elements of design -So accommodating to meeting/talking around our schedule I am very biased, but I think we had the best wedding ever. Hiring Courtney was easily the best decision we made in our wedding planning process. "Above and…read morebeyond" does not begin to cover Courtney's level of service, care, and thoughtfulness. Throughout the months we worked together, Courtney always made us feel like a priority, though she was no doubt juggling so much. On our wedding day, every detail we worked on was executed flawlessly, and we were truly able to breathe and be present because we knew Courtney had it all under control. We got many compliments from our guests on how smooth and relaxed the day felt, and that is a testament to Courtney's incredibly hard work. I would also note that Courtney was completely respectful of our budget and priorities. She puts in the time to learn what is important to you, and keeps that in mind as she offers excellent, candid advice. Courtney also went out of her way to save us money in ways we simply would not have thought of on our own. A final note to anyone on the fence about hiring a coordinator: Do it! (Specifically, Courtney!) I consider myself a fairly organized and detail-oriented person, so when I started planning, I wasn't sure that I needed a coordinator. But I now believe that the more organized you are, the more you appreciate and value a partner at (or, in Courtney's case, way above) your level. Weddings are truly their own category of event, and there is no substitute for a coordinator's guidance and experience--especially someone as amazing as Courtney!

It was an absolute pleasure working with Carissa after booking the month-of coordination package. She went above and beyond from our initial meeting all the way to load out the night of the wedding. She took the time to understand my vision fully and provided invaluable insight throughout the process. She worked seamlessly with our other vendors, taking the weight of all the logistics so we could enjoy the weeks leading up to the wedding. When we got to wedding weekend she brought a calm and competent energy to the rehearsal and day-of that really set the tone and allowed us to relax and enjoy. We are so grateful for her collaboration and can honestly say booking with 2FE was one of the best decisions we made. I was frantically contacting vendors, trying to find someone who could step in on such short notice. Nichole Simpson, the owner of 2 Friends Events, responded almost immediately and quickly arranged a consultation. Within four days, we had an experienced coordinator assigned--and what a blessing that turned out to be. Rachel Roddewig and her assistant were absolutely AMAZING. Rachel met with us twice--first for an hour and then for another two and a half hours. She developed a detailed schedule and timeline and came prepared with thoughtful questions to ensure that every detail had been addressed. During the week leading up to the wedding, Rachel contacted every vendor to confirm logistics, schedules, and responsibilities. She also directed the staff I had hired for setup, bussing, breakdown, and cleanup. She attended the rehearsal, arrived early to walk the grounds and familiarize herself with the venue, coordinated everyone for the ceremony, and took care of every detail throughout the reception. If there were any hiccups, I knew nothing about them until after the wedding and reception were over. Rachel handled everything calmly and worked seamlessly with the vendors to ensure the day went perfectly. I truly believe the wedding was as perfect as it was because of Rachel's extraordinary organization, attention to detail, and logistical expertise. I am incredibly grateful to Nichole, Rachel, and 2 Friends Events for stepping in when we needed them most and helping make this very special day absolutely wonderful. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

We were kindly welcomed by Leah and introduced to our planner, Yoko, who was amazing, carefully guiding and making our vision a reality, accommodating our preferences and budget, and helping us with the design and layout of the big day with all of our vendors. She provided multiple vendor options, communicated closely with them and us throughout the bidding and hiring process, and ensured we were all on the same page from planning through the walkthrough and up to the day of the event. One of the greatest things about this process was the clear, concise communication and organization that made planning, payments, and decision-making understandable, step by step, rather than a labyrinth of crossed wires and deadlines.  The day of our wedding was as effortless as could be. It was great to have the team from Two Perfect Events, along with Yoko and Leo, there to assist with setting up and taking down decorations and rentals, help guide guests, event staff, and our vendors, and ensure everything, including our deliveries and rentals, went according to plan. We also appreciated that our planners kept an eye on both of us the entire night to ensure we were doing well and enjoying the festivities, getting our food, making sure we were at the right place at the right time, and saving any items for our personal requests. We did not expect that Two Perfect Events would take behind-the-scenes photos and videos of the entire day and the in-person walkthroughs, which gave us a chance to reminisce on the process and quickly provide a glimpse of our families and friends outside the eyes of our wonderful wedding photographers.  We appreciated that our vendors were all in sync, and the coordinators ensured our entire process minimized the stress of planning, which was what we had hoped for all along. They provided us with good advice on choosing vendors, insurance for our wedding, and what to expect when working with multiple parties. It was evident that Two Perfect Events had considered multiple contingencies and scenarios in which snafus or unexpected issues may arise throughout the process, and we were glad that Yoko was always prepared for them, including giving us enough buffer time due to traffic delays so our guests could arrive on the big day.  Everyone complimented us on the evening, and it went by so smoothly. They commented that this was the least stressful and most fun wedding they've been to in a long time, which conveyed the vibe we were going for. We wanted it to be a fun yet intimate evening where everyone enjoyed getting together to celebrate, and we were delighted to celebrate that day with them. Thanks again to our wonderful planner, Yoko, and Two Perfect Events! We couldn't have done this without you.

The entire day felt effortless on our end because Rene had everything completely under control. The venue itself is absolutely breathtaking--our lakefront ceremony on-site was stunning and set the tone for the entire celebration. Guests couldn't stop talking about how beautiful and serene it was. From there, the night just kept getting better. We had an incredible violinist (who even performed with Bad Bunny at the Super Bowl!) which added such a unique and elevated touch. Our grand entrance with cold sparklers was unforgettable and felt like something straight out of a movie. And then--our Glambot moment! It truly felt like we were at the Oscars, and our guests had an absolute blast with it. To make things even more unforgettable, our Frenchie was our flower girl and made a grand entrance in a Porsche kids ride-on car, completely stealing the show.
