The thicker epoxy surface over color chips is glossy smooth, and unless saturated by liquid, isn't slippery. My granite countertops were in desperate need of a polish. Over time, water stains and the wrong cleaning products caused my granite to be dull and hazy. Ron recently worked on the concrete floor of a studio my wife and I are renting. We were looking for a non-glossy finish that would be smooth and cleanable. Ron came out for an assessment and made recommendations based on its state at the time, which was fairly rough with lots of cracks and glue from previous carpeting. His professionalism was evident immediately. We moved forward with a low-grit polish and his supplier recommended a penetrating sealant for a maximum low-gloss finish. We were initially pleased with the outcome and the difference was amazing, but after closer inspection we noticed some areas where the cracks were repaired had wide bands of staining along them, making them look very patchy. We also found the floor impossible to clean and liquids seeped in slowly, so we were concerned about staining. After taking all of this into account, we all agreed that the penetrating sealant was not the right choice and it would need to be fixed. Ron was adamant about getting us a finished product that would work for our needs and he came back to address those issues. So in the end, it took longer than we expected and the texture isn't exactly what we were hoping for in terms of cleanability, but the floor looks great overall and we were very glad to have worked with Ron and given him our business. read more
