I drive for Lyft, and my car is my bread and butter. Last night, some jerk puked in my car. I lost 8 hours of work and probably $3-400 due to this. No one would come out when I called. This morning, I called around and one place said to just bring it in and they would take a look. I drove there and they refused to clean it. When I called Shield, they also said to bring it in and they would see. I was hesitant to drive all the way there because of the first place, but I'm glad I did. These guys went above and beyond what I expected them to do. I expected that they would just clean the inside where the guy yakked, but they actually did much more than that. They made sure that when I left my car looked, and SMELLED!! brand new, honestly! They even said if there was any problem to just bring it back and they will take care of it. 5 stars, totally impressed with their customer service, def going back, even for just a car wash. It's out of my way, but they've won me as a customer. :) read more

While in Winchester today I went on YELP to find the closest car wash ,up came Shield System Car Wash 1 mile away.. I figured I'd try it since my car looked like a dust ball.. When I arrived there were about 6 cars were ahead of me. Not to bad considering it was a beautiful day, When I reached the men I asked it they took Debit cards they said yes. So from then on everything went very smooth. It is very easy to pull your car into the car wash the staff was helpful and my car looks great... I will go back. for sure! read more

I came in with my Jeep about an hour ago and got the Best Wash for $20. When I got back to work I noticed that the back of the Jeep didn't even look like it got wet - let alone clean. The sides look fine but I am pretty disappointed that I spent $20 on a partially clean Jeep. Update: Doug, the owner, reached out to me and is allowing me to come back for a re-wash. i've been going here for 4 years. for what it is, an automatic car wash, they do a great job. if i wanted a better result, i'd have to go have it hand washed and rubbed with a clay bar and detailed and pay $200+. in the end, $20 is a bargain and my vehicle is clean. i love reading the negative reviews people leave, so funny. how about the woman who said they sprayed a paint eating cleaner on her car. woman, how long do you think they'd be in business if that's what they did? or some guy heard a curse word from an employee and the horror of all horrors, no masks. damn, shut 'em down! lol and the employees, they're rude. well, in four years as a customer i find the employees nothing less than professional. i always get a hello and then the guys go right to it. people, it's a car wash, not starbucks. these people do a nice job keeping the flow moving. no need to kiss the ass of some butt hurt karen while doing it. besides saying hello, what would anyone have to say to someone you don't know in conversation? another reason i go here is because there isn't humans at the end wiping the cars off as they come out of the wash. that scratches the paint and i don't want that. watch them at a car wash that uses the wipers...they drop the towel and pick it up off the pavement and just continue wiping. they wipe the wheels too and then the towel goes back on the paint. no thanks. seriously, you get a nice decent car wash here and i feel the price is completive. washing vehicles is a pretty close second to rocket science. why? because you have to be on top of things enough to not damage a vehicle while you're doing it. these guys are. read more

This is by far the best car wash in the area. I have never had a disappointing experience here. Usually I get the Spring special when they have it, but last time I went in and got the 20$ (15$ with yelp check-in) #1 best wash. The car came out sparkling, with no water spots. They also have the vacuums that are run with quarters (which are the same as most carwashes) and interior cleaning available, but which I haven't had a chance to try as there is always a long line ahead of me when I inquire about it. read more

I love this car wash company. They have long hours of operation, and there are always very friendly employees on staff. I do wish the prices were cheaper, but I buy the books of washes to get one free wash. I would be here once a week if I could afford it! The company has more than one location which is great (my home store is the one on Boston Road in Billerica) and they do offer an unlimited wash option (but it is expensive). They also offer exterior and interior washes, waxes, and cleans. I love this place (weird I know) but I love a clean car!!!!! read more

On the hottest day today....I had the premium interior car detail and ultimate wax services on my Mercedes (older model). Made the appointment and dropped the car off prior to 9 a.m., (they like the car for the day--to let the carpet dry) and was met by Edgar, the manager, who couldn't have been nicer. I felt very comfortable leaving the vehicle and was assured he would call me when it was completed. Received the call as promised. I was so impressed by the results--beautiful clean leather - and the friendly customer service, that it warrants and deserves the 5 stars. Paper floor mat used, as the mats were in the trunk and was advised to leave them out a bit longer to dry. They found pen, tape ruler, under the seat and put it in a baggy. I notice others mention prices...while I don't use the car wash...the price for the premium interior detail and hand-wax, is so well worth it! My car feels and looks like new! Excellent car wash! If you care enough about your car to pay for it to be washed then you care enough about it to go to a good place. I am very picky with car washes as I have gone through many where there are streaks after the wash or it just looks like my car was rinsed off. With that said, this is my new go-to car wash as it is close to where I work and it impressed the hell out of me. It only took 5 minutes and my car came out beautiful. Shield is the best cahhh wash around metro Boston. There's also a Jiffy lube there so you can wash your car and get service at the same time. I recently had a interior detail done on my car and they did a great job. They also have carpet shampoo service as well. The drive through has decent prices and it is pretty fast even when its busy. They run the place pretty well. There's a 24 hour vaccuum center as well to vaccuum out your car with the hoses. read more

Just ok. I paid extra for rims and tires and they didn't do a great job. I'm not exactly sure what I paid extra for. It looked the same as when I don't pay the extra. In addition, they don't have a rain policy like most places. The weather channel showed no rain for the next few days, but it down poured for 5 min midday. I asked to bring the car back in (only 3 hours after I had the car washed) and they refused. I was going to bring my car in for a detail this month, but given the average quality of work and lack of customer focus, I'd rather not. My husband and I have been taking our cars to Shield System Car Wash for years and we love it. They have an area where you can vacuum and clean out your car yourself and then they have a drive through car wash. Our cars always come out clean - no issues (despite how dirty they are before hand). I don't have any experience with Sheild's interior detailing so I cannot comment on those services. Oh - and for you YELPers - if you check in you get a $5 off coupon that you can use if you show them your phone! I used it today when I went and was thrilled! I would highly recommend this place and will continue to take our cars there. read more

Wouldn't recommend this place at all. Please stay far away as possible. The employees there tend to curse and not wear their MASKS! I'm sorry but if we are required to wear MASKS to enter a business then the employees should wear a MASK as well and not cough all over the place especially without a mask on. I almost drove away today, noticing this non sense. You are putting my safety at risk and other customers at risk when you don't tell your employees to follow the rules! Absolutely unacceptable and I hope the owner holds these people accountable! When I asked the employee why wasn't he wearing a mask he shot back cursing at me and saying none of youre F business! The rudest, most disrespectful employees around! The washes never fully clean you're vehicle, and when you need to dry you're car they never have drying towels! This place is great. The customer service here is perfect - from the moment I pulled up the guys were attentive, took my car right in for a detail, which was very reasonably priced. I waited in the waiting room, which had wireless access and got some work done, and my car was as clean as it was when I bought it. Do not waste your time or money at the detail center at the Winchester Shield System Car Wash. They did a half ass job on my car which did not surprise me considering that I ordered and pay for the "Gold " ($175.00) package which for what they claim they are going to do for you should take a couple of workers at least a couple of hours to complete. To my surprise 50 minutes after dropping the car off the detail center called me to say they were done.? My wife picked up my car and when she came home I went out and was extremely disappointed, I called and complained and they didn't seem to care. I got the basic car wash because I could not find a list while in line. The earliest I saw a list of options was right before you enter the wash. By then I've already been asked to pay. Drying service wasn't that great so my car was all spotty when I left. read more

I have gone to Shield in the past for car washes, but this time I went for a detailing. I chose the Silver Plus package and couldn't be happier. My car is spotless inside and out. They even managed to get all the dog hair off of the back seat. When I got there I threw random stuff from my seats to the front console. When I picked up the car, all the stuff was in a plastic bag on my seat and the console was sparkly clean. The gentlemen working there were very pleasant and helpful. WORST car wash and customer service!!!! I went in this past weekend and got the most expensive wash, $20 for wash, wax, dry, the works. My car came out still soaking wet, parts that were dry were all water spots and all four doors were covered in a cloud from the wax. Also, there are several scratches on it. It is a brand new car, a month old, and those scratches were not there before. I called and left five mesages this weekend as well as an email and not one repsonse.
