By far the best car wash in the entire Northshore area. They are very generous with the initial spray down. There are silicone brushes in their tunnel (not cloth brushes) so you don't have to worry about dirt/debris ruining your car's paint and clear coat. There's also a touchless wash that is open 24/7. I've never timed it, but the touchless wash lasts a long time and is pretty thorough. We pay for the monthly wash for two cars and it is well worth it. I think two washes a month basically covers the cost of a monthly package. They also offer detailing service. We have had a ceramic coat done on a prior car and it came out beautiful. read more

Was not allowed to use the car wash. There is nothing more to say but I have to have my review have at least 85 characters to post. EDIT: Thanks for following up. It was probably because I have racks and a mounted soft folded canopy + tent on my truck bed. But here's the thing: I have a Ford Maverick that stands at a WHOPPING 68 inches tall, with the mounted canopy not extending past the exterior mirror and the top of the tent well below 6' total height. I was in line for the touchless bay and another truck that was towering over mine and significantly wider was directly in front of me. I've used other touchless car washes elsewhere without obliterating machinery or tearing a rift in the fabric of space time or whatever your policies try to protect against. But I'm not here to argue with you or make anything "right." You've got the right to make whatever policies you want and that's that. The review isn't changing and I won't be returning. read more

I was in the market for an interior car detailing and am so glad I found Barn. My car was extremely dirty after driving to Boston from California, vacationing in rural Vermont, never having it cleaned, & just overall wear and tear. Billy was extremely responsive, professional, & answered all my questions. Plus, their availability was flexible & worked perfectly with my schedule. I also opted for the 50% off exterior car wash to avoid having to come back again (as they say, 2 birds, 1 piece of bread!). The best part - my car looks BRAND NEW! I brought it in smelling musty, covered in dog hair & crumbs. I felt sad every time I got into my car because of how disgusting it was. Now, there's not a hair in sight, and it smells so fresh. I'm a regular customer. I Wash our 2017 auto 1x per week; 2x per week the winter. We're on the unlimited plan 'The Works'. The car does not look like an 8 year old car because of the quality of the finish. So, The rinse and ceramic is worth the money. I've been looking for the longest time for a good touch-free place to take my car to. Almost all the washes near me either had middling reviews or didn't offer contactless. I finally found Barn Car and even though it's a pain to drive to and I loathe Route 1 with every fibre of my being, I've gotten good results from them and the prices are not bad. About once a month, I get the total package which is maybe going overkill, but whatever, the car looks good (at least until the next rainstorm, sigh), and, most importantly, no scratches or dings, which seemed to be the running theme at all the other places. When I come on the weekday, there's no wait and I'm in/out in 10-15 minutes. A few nits though: 1. The industrial-power vacuum along the side of the car wash only takes quarters. The first time we came here, I did a whole loop around the building trying to find an employee or some sort of office where I could break a dollar bill but couldn't find a single soul. So I just vacuum the floor and mats when I get back with my handheld. Still does the trick, but not as fast. 2. Getting in and out of this place is a freaking nightmare. Cars are whizzing past on Route 1, while you're making a dead stop or stuck at the stop sign trying to get onto the highway. 3. The touchless doesn't do as comprehensive a cleaning job as a good old-fashioned hand wash. Some gunk along the side and stubborn bird poop are still clinging on with all their might. I really love this car wash. It's $60 a month for 12 washes a month, or 3 a week, and while they are open until 8 pm, they have a 24/7 automatic machine that takes about 10 minutes. I used to get my interior also cleaned by them, but I would tip them really well and they were consistently missing little spots that I wouldn't have forgotten, so I just get the outside washed and I vacuum & wipe down the interiors myself. Best value. Depending on who you get, they can be average or amazing. Some of the staff are fantastic, and others are negligent. Their membership makes it worth it since 1 wash is $20. read more

My work was next to a asphalt grinding company. During the grinding process, the water was reduced. All the grinding dust blew all over the cars in the parking lot. I left my car here and he was able to remove all the sticky grit and did not damage the finish. The car looked better than when I purchased. read more

First time trying this car wash. There were two lanes, one that seemed to be a standard drive through wash and the other seemed to be an individual "touch less" car wash. I started waiting in the touch less line not really sure why the line was so long/what it was for. Eventually, I went into the standard car wash as there wasn't anybody in line. The attendant was quick to keep me moving so he took my card and motioned me through. I felt like it was an effective cleaning. I was excited to try out this car wash since they are so patriotic with American flags all about. They are also Pats fans which is a huge plus. I went in line and I ordered a basic wash for $10. I went through and the brushes were harsh and the car wash was a bit short and when I exited my car was still wet from the blowers did not blow the water off of my car A hundred percent. There was no one towel drying off the cars I waited but the cars behind me needed to get threw so I called overpulled over off to the side and waited five minutes and nobody came over to towel dry so apparently they do not dry cars. I drove off needless to say I pulled in a store a couple miles up the road and I had water spots all over my car, a big waste of $10. I would definitely pass on this car wash. I was pleased with Barn Car Wash in Saugus. My review is for the touch less drive through car wash. I thought the top touch less wash was great for $20. The touch less option is much easier on your vehicles's paint, but it will not get your car looking like it came off the showroom floor without a quick wipe down. It also won't permanently scratch the clear coat like the standard drive through wash will. Look it up on google. Having your car beat with rubber brushes and rollers is not a good idea. I find some of the bad reviews entertaining. God forbid people put any effort into washing their car. I don't understand why anyone expects their vehicle to be 100% spotless driving out of a touch or touch less car wash that was only $10 to $20 without wiping down the vehicle or drying out crevices. All I had to do was park by the vacuums, take a micro fiber towel, and wipe down the vehicle. A quick wipe and the car looked as good as it did when I picked it up from the dealer 4 months ago. If you want your car to be 100% spotless inside and out with 0 effort on your end, then go to a detail shop where you will pay $110 - $250. I would definitely come back when in the area. read more

Went for the basic wash - $6 The wash was very heavy which left the car with lot of scratches.. this is completely unacceptable .. the car was still soaking wet with soap after the wash. This place is external only car wash - they don't do interiors... I feel they should not do exterior as well. read more

Pretty upset at Joe Coppola the owner of Barn carwash today. Pretty upset at myself for being lazy and not hand washing my car instead. Ive been going to Barn carwash in Revere with my father since the early 90s and now to this one since I can remember but their prices have gone up and their service has gone down. Today was it. I'm done. I've visited both car washes with my new truck and wifes new SUV numerous times but I am very selective for my Challenger. Anyways I drove up to Barns touchless carwash because my car just needed a rinse to get pollen off of it after my cruise and to cut down the dry time by letting them blow dry my car before I wax it in my garage. The staff at Barn carwash had put movable cones out in front of the entrance to the touchless carwash side to help guide vehicles into the center of the touchless carwash lane to prevent any accidents. The cones didnt help, if anything they guided customers more towards the stainless steel guides installed on the floor which were put there to prevent vehicles from being too close on either side of their movable sprayer/dryer. The wash bay was so dimly lit I wonder if their lights were even turned on at all. I drove strait forward to where the cones guided me not even noticing the stainless steel guides on the floor and felt what I thought was my tire rubbing up on a bump, actually thought nothing of it. After my wash I came out to dry my car some more because it still had water all over the place, honestly not a good wash at all for $12, soap still present and water drops everywhere. And there it was, a nice 3 inch long scratch to my brand new forged factory aluminum wheel, it was a good one, all the way down to the metal, all because I was too lazy to hand wash it, I've never even parked this thing next to a curb because of that very reason. I decided to let the manager or who I thought was the manager know about my incident, turns out he was actually the owner. Even better, his name is Joe Coppola, nice enough guy there was no yelling, screaming or any kind of insults during our conversation just a disappointed customer with a legitimate concern asking for any kind of help that would have been greatly appreciated. I asked Joe if he had a wheel repair guy or shop he can recommend me to and also if he could help repair my now damaged wheel in anyway, he said no and does not know of any place to recommend. I asked if he could reimburse me for my wash. He said no, its not his fault I drove into the stainless steel guides. I asked him if this has ever happend before, he replied yes thats why we have cones out to help guide you. I asked him why he didnt install plastic yellow covers over the stainless steel guides on the touchless side like he has on the regular carwash side so people can see where to avoid making contact, he said the regular wash has someone guiding you away from the yellow guides. So to my understanding not only does he hire someone to guide customers but also has yellow plastic covers on the guides to prevent wheel damage. But no precaution has been taken on the touchless side besides those two movable cones that actually made things worse in a dimly lit wash bay. That made no sense. I finally asked Joe is there anyway he can help me in my situation at all? Recommend a wheel repair shop? Reimburse me my $12 for a mediocre wash? Heck even some black touchup paint so it would not look so hideous until I can get it repaired. Nope, zip, nada. Thanks Joe! I'll be sure to leave my experience on all my social media outlets, all my car forums and spread word of mouth at all the car shows I go to! UPDATE 5/6/2019: Joseph, I did not speak to you, I spoke with your father Joe (Senior). The fact that he took no responsibility and you folks added 2 more cones inside the bay today solidifies that fact that you KNEW there is an on going problem with customers scratching their wheels, the first thing I asked him was how can we fix this and also how can we prevent this from happening next time? His answer to me was drive strait. I never once asked him to replace my wheel, only a refund for this wash as I am clearly not satisfied, and also if he had or knew any wheel repair shops he recommend, he said no to both. He was of no help at all in this matter, and Barn carwash does have many negative reviews, one involving small claims court. I wish I checked these reviews before I visited. And yes I will continue to be a gentleman, your coffee shop analogy makes no sense, if soap and water is still present all over a washed vehicle maybe your machine may need repair? However pictures are worth a thousand words. These are more pictures added of your bay from today to warn others of your rails and dim lighting. Have a nice day Joseph. This review is for the touchless car wash and nothing else because I have not used any other services (except for the vacuum cleaners that are way too short in time to do anything substantial but at least you get a free token with your wash). The touchless wash here though is amazing with one big caveat: DO NOT DO THE $17 version, do the $12 because it does not have the wheel scrubber. I don't know why anyone would have a touchless wash that has a wheel scrubber because clearly the reason why we didn't want to enter the normal wash is because we didn't want anything touching our car. Ugh, anyway I didn't read the sign and next thing I know I'm in the wash fuming as the machine is "guessing" at where my wheel is and scrubbing very hard on the wheels. A) they weren't very clean afterwards and B) they definitely were swirled up from that. Anyway that was more my fault than theirs because I didn't read. Just go with the $12 one and you still get a good clean without the scrubbing. So I've just said a lot of bad things but gave them 5 stars, why? Well, their water pressure is amazing and it did a great job getting all sorts of gunk off our car. We spent one weekend driving around central MA in Spring when the bugs were in full force then drove up to Montreal the next weekend through the White Mountains and Kancamagus and the car as you might imagine was super caked up. To add to the sorrow, the car is black. Yikes, it was looking rough. My intention was to go to this wash, get a first pass then go and do a two-bucket hand wash myself. In the end this wash did such a good job that I didn't even bother with the hand wash and instead went to enjoy the rest of my day. Before MA we were in NC where we sampled a few of these touchless washes and never felt very satisfied. Went to another one up here in Lexington which was terrible but this place is awesome. Dries fairly well but the rear end will definitely have water drops left over and you'll have dirt left in crevices etc and definitely on the wheels if you have a lot of brake dust for all you OCD people out there but for a quick wash it is perfect. After that you can go and get your hand wash on if you want to seal the deal. No touchless wash will get everything after all but 85% is good enough for me some of the time so I'll be coming back here. read more

I have gone here for many years but my last trip they outdid themselves, specifically Billy. I had a sticky dirt that was all over my car and could not get it out after many attempts. I was quoted hundreds of dollars by other detail shops to get it off. I went in there looking for help after trying other options. Billy came right out to help me even though he was really busy on a saturday. He could not figure out what it was and also quoted that it could be a lot of money to detail. After doing more inspecting he figured out that goo gone would take it off. Of course this is a much cheaper remedy where as other companies would take the money. Billy tried it on my car and it started to come off. He gave me a rag and some product and sent me on my way. You never find people like that and I truly appreciate his help!!! read more

I bring my car here a lot on nice warm days on weekends. I use the touchless wash on my car. I've tried every touchless car wash I've come across in the area, and still consider this be the best one. You get a free token for a vacuum too. My car interior stays decently clean so whenever I don't feel like vacuuming, I save the token for future use for extra time. My only complaint is that sometimes the soap comes out colorful, other times it doesn't. Not sure if it's less soapy or something. read more

This review is definitely long over due but I really wanted to see how the outcome was for this ceramic coating before I actually did the review that I got at the barn on route 1 in Saugus. At first I wasn't sure about getting it and even at that point I wasn't 100% what ceramic coating even was at that time. I was introduced to one of the workers named Billy. He gave me a run through on how ceramic coating worked , and aswell showed me pictures and videos of all his work that he done previously. Billy is definitely a stand up guy and takes pride in his work. After future discussion with him I ended up getting the ceramic coating plus a product that's similar to (rain-x) called Vision Blade, it is stronger and is applied to the windshield. If I'm not mistaken it's rated up to 6months or so to be on the windshield and it's still going strong through mild or heavy rain ! I love it!!! At this point in time I got the coating and the vision blade 6-7months ago and my car still looks like I got it off the showroom floor. That was such an amazing investment and if you're someone like me that takes pride in your car then I would recommend this for you. I pulled into here the other day and my car was a disgrace from top to bottom, and wheels all filthy with brake dust and salt. I went on the on the tunnel side and I thought that it would have been cleaned good, but I was totally surprised when I stepped out and looked at my car. It was completely cleaned, the entire car. No spot missed. I think these guys updated the machines recently. They always cleaned the cars the best but mine looked liked it was hand washed. I can't stress enough how pleased I am with the detail service I received from the Barn. From the initial point of contact to picking up my car I've just had the most pleasant experience. Bill was super flexible with drop off and pick up times and couldn't have been more helpful, he made suggestions on what could be done to get a smoke odor out of my car and was a joy to work with. When I picked up my car on Sunday it looked like it did the day I bought it brand new. Everything from the carpets to the cup holders were in pristine condition, he even went out of his way and managed to get rid of some scrape marks on my hood from some aggressive ice scraping summer.
