    Bread - Just 'Bana
    Kenya M.

Let's get right to the point here- Shi's Cakes & Things IS IT! Sweet treats are number one on my list of favorite things, and I've finally found my favorite place to get them! I had the pleasure of sampling her banana pudding a few times, so I sort of knew what I was in for! Well, I thought I knew! My expectations were high, but she sent them off the charts! Unreal but REAL! The banana pudding is absolutely delicious but the cheesecakes? CRAZY GOOD! And banana breads? AMAZEBALLS! My family and I ate every single crumb of every single item that we ordered! Her pop-up shop is available for take out only, and she offers delivery via Doordash & Grubhub. The area is not that busy, so you shouldn't have a problem finding a parking spot should you visit the store. Her prices are reasonable and fair, and the portions are plentiful! Banana bread- 5 stars Strawberry cheesecake- 5 stars Banana pudding- 5 stars Banana bread cheesecake- YALL....10 stars! Also- the owner is such a beautiful person inside and out! She goes above and beyond to make sure you're satisfied with your order, and does it with a smile!! She does custom orders and catering too! Check out her website for more information on that. I 100% recommend this place and for sure will order from her again & again! *black owned *woman owned

First of all, shout out to Mia, her review made me stop by here. I want to say that I never had Banana Pudding before. Rashida made me feel welcomed and gave me a sample of that banana pudding and oh my goodness. She should have pulled the camera out and recorded my reaction. That pudding was the bomb diggity, just flavorful. I see why everyone raves about her.

Thanks again to Kenya M, and Jerry D for their awesome reviews and wanting to try and support this business! This was good! Nothing I was blown away by but glad that I ventured out and tried something new. At first, I wasn't sure where I was because this Orange location is actually located in a shared kitchen space! If you ever come here, just know that it is in the "Iron Works" building and you must call her first so that she can let you in. We went on one Sunday afternoon and didn't have all the things on the menu, but we were happy with our selections. The apple cheesecake was good with crushed ginger snaps which I love! Banana pudding was average, not the best that I have tasted, but it was certainly good! I didn't taste the Oreo cheesecake but heard it was good as well! The business owner was very accommodating and patient as we decided on our order All in all, I am glad that I supported this young lady, and have no problems recommending anyone to check her out! Enjoy!

Shi's talent made my birthday amazing! Unfortunately due to covid my favorite cake from maison kayser the adagio cake is unavailable since the company shut down earlier this year. Shi was able to work with my mom to recreate my favorite cake which consisted of fresh passion fruit cream , dark chocolate cake & chocolate coating. Shi was incredibly friendly and accommodating and created the cake with A+ accomplishment. Highly recommended and a sweet owner altogether!

The absolute best cheesecakes I've ever had! Rashida has gone out of her way to make incredible cakes for all major events in my family - from baby shower to birthdays to graduations. She always puts a thoughtful touch.

I showed up a bit too early on a Saturday after a nearby lunch, keep in mind they open at 2 p.m. on Saturdays. I was not about to miss out, so I read in my car for a half hour before being "that customer" that's waiting when the door opens. The two women working took my early arrival completely in stride and were impressively professional throughout my time there. They were engaging and once they heard I was a first time customer, gave me a rundown of the menu and their process. The shop is impeccably clean, modern, and features comfortable seating. I went with an original chimney cake and it was made fresh. I selected a drizzle of their store made dulce de leche and after a brief wait, it was ready. I really enjoyed the chimney cake, crispy exterior and a tender interior. Just sweet enough. I would certainly try it with their ice cream in the future but I'm glad I tried it on its own the first time. Excellent experience!

As a young kid from Louisiana, one of the first things I missed was the culture, flavor, and sweet treats that reminded me of home in New Orleans. Back then, my teammates used to tease me relentlessly about being the "fat rookie from Louisiana" because I was always chasing pralines, cookies, pastries, and every sugary delight imaginable. Not long after arriving, I stumbled upon a hidden gem that instantly made me feel at home -- Lyndhurst Pastry Shop. This led me to "SACKING" tons of NFC QB's over the years. From day one, Paulette, Jerry, her father, and the entire staff have treated me like family. Decades later, they are still absolutely knocking it out of the park. Whether it's their incredible Italian ice, authentic cannoli, specialty cookies, or my personal weakness -- their unbelievable apple rings -- this place never disappoints. Truth be told, I can't stop there without bringing one home for my wife. Some places serve food. Others serve memories, tradition, and comfort. Lyndhurst Pastry Shop has done that for me for over 40 years. A true North Jersey institution. Five stars isn't enough -- if I could give them 10 stars, I absolutely would. Leonard A. I ordered the Christmas Honey balls ($19.95) and the Fudge Layer Cake ($29.50) and while I disagree with the credit card fee being passed to the consumer, the quality of the product exceeds that cost. Inside the venue is a true classic bakery atmosphere and while there is usually a line, the service is brisk and moves fairly quickly. If you want to impress your holiday season guests, family or friends, the LPS is the right venue for traditional Italian baked goods and desserts! As i return to NJ for the holidays, I will make at least three or four stops at LPS. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

With all the old guard now in the history books I began searching for a new reliable bakery. Very first visit here and... I was on the fence. Second visit... okay, I'm a fan. Subsequent visits... actually I'm a big fan. From red velvet cookies to Sfogliatella to carrot cake - they have more than enough treats to quell your sweet tooth. The breads (the reason I find myself here most times) - incredible. Rolls (of varying sizes) as well as a damn perfect bastone (crunchy and flaky, ready to be piled high for a sandwich) not to mention... the almighty Pizza Bread?! Oh, yeah. A bit more rare to find but the only proper 'pane' if/when you're going to make an Italian hot dog. They also have a side/section with a full deli if savory is more your speed. Cool staff. Good pricing. Metered street parking but be warned... this one specific street feels more like a strip mall - with probably a dozen businesses (liquor stores to salons to fitness centers to a few restaurants to...) - all vying for those spots.
