I visited Sherwood in July and purchased tiles for my bathroom renovation. While the tiles themselves were beautiful and of great quality, the customer service was disappointing then and has only worsened since.
During my initial visit, the staff were cold and disengaged, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. However, when I returned yesterday at 8:30 AM, my experience was unacceptable. I was the only customer there, yet the woman who greeted me was rude and unprofessional. When I smiled and asked if she remembered me, her response was curt and aggressive: "Do you have an appointment?" There was no greeting, no "good morning," and certainly no friendliness.
When I said I didn't have an appointment, she bluntly stated she was fully booked but that I could look around and she might help if she had time. She made no effort to offer me assistance, no suggestion to schedule an appointment for another day, and then left the room while I browsed.
This behavior is completely unprofessional and unacceptable. As a customer, I expect basic courtesy, respect, and professionalism, none of which were displayed. I ended up taking photos of what I liked and purchasing elsewhere because I refuse to support a business that treats customers so poorly.
Sherwood's products may be excellent, but if this is the standard of customer service, it's a shame. I would never tolerate or hire someone who runs a business in this manner. Consider this feedback a wake-up call--improve your customer service, or you'll continue to lose loyal customers. read more
