I said great. I paid for the heater in full over the phone. And said I would be in the next morning to pick it up. I never received an email or text with confirmation of payment from Frankie and they had all my information in their system . I would have caught the screw up ahead of time before picking it up the next morning if I did. I picked up the heater the next morning and brought it to the job to find out. It is (not a power vent model.) With numerous attempts trying to get a hold of Frankie I finally did and I explained my situation and he hesitantly apologized. Now it was time to return the wrong heater I was given in rush-hour traffic from Brewster with not much time before they closed for the day ,not happy about diesel fuel spent picking up wrong unit and then bringing it back. it was not a pleasure.. they took the old one back and grabbed me the correct model and told me there was a $600.00 difference in price on the higher end. this was needless to say a huge screw up by Frankie because I asked him multiple times to make sure it was a power vent model. It was replacing an existing power vent model. He assured me at the time it was correct. I was not willing to pay the $600 or more for the correct model which I should've had in the first place because it was not in the budget now after giving the price to the customer already after the purchase through Frankie so I had Frankie cancel and fully refund my money . Needless to say, I was not happy because Frankie cost me the job. and fuel picking up the unit and returning it.If I would've taken the job with the increase in the cost of the heater I would've been doing the installation for peanuts. The budget did not allow for this screw up I will not be using this place again There's enough stress in daily life than have added stress from best plumbing in not getting a simple heater order correct I see no value in using them again and as for Frankie, he should not raise his voice to customers that he had screwed over and show more respect because this could've escalated into a more serious situation.

I found the staff extremely helpful- even after I told them I was there for a remnant or supersale mark down for a basement. I take in dogs, and they're not all housebroken when I get them, so whatever goes on the floor, i want to be able to throw it out in a year without feeling bad. I was not a high end buyer, but they treated me like one. I didn't find a really cheap POS for the basement (i was really hoping for some god aweful pattern they were stuck with, but no luck), but I did find a great 8x10 rug for my diningroom that I was really excited about. Not at all what I went for. I have wanted to paint my house for a while in cool greys and pale blues you see in all the magazines, but between my warm wood toned furniture and terracotta tiles, it would never work- UNTIL I FOUND THIS RUG. I've been looking for years to find something to suit my traditional style that could bring in the warm clay tones with the blues and greys I wanted. I am so thrilled. They rolled it up and brought it out to my car. I was concerned it wouldn't fit, but I could have gone even larger becasue they re-rolled it the short way. Even if it didn't fit, they would have tied it to the roof for me. I loved this place. I could have spent all day here. The prices are reasonable, the rugs middle of the road good quality- no $20,000 hand woven stuff, but a lot of good quality at reasonable prices in the $200- $500 range. Not a lot of junk/low quality, if you're looking to spend under $100, you're pretty much out of luck for anything much bigger than a bath mat.

Not only were they about $1,000 less expensive than the other companies we looked at, they were very friendly and accommodating. When our kitchen cabinets and our master bathroom vanity were installed and it was time for the countertops, they were able to come measure, and create the perfect countertops in less than a week! And I say perfect countertops because everything was AMAZING! They were able to cut one piece to fit around the corner!! Everything fit exactly to measurements! And they even matched up the veins in the quartz so that it looks like it flows from the island across to the wall cabinets! But the master vanity is the most incredible of all. We ordered a backsplash with it for the 2 sides with a wall, and they surprised us by matching the backsplash piece to exactly match the countertop in terms of the stone's patterns!!! We have been in the home improvement business for over 40 years and have never seen that kind of perfectly matching stone before! We HIGHLY recommend using Putnam Granite & Stone Fabrication, Inc at 100 Buckshollow Rd in Mahopac, NY!

I then requested Mike and co. to insulate my 1790 tavern turned home since there was NO INSULATION!! Mike and Canyon did so in a timely, professional manner. We…read morewere dealing with a cold house that was drafty and were looking to get an evaluation done to keep the house a bit warmer. Michael was very responsive, he was fast to respond to my inquiry, come to provide and estimate and start the job. He was able to show me colder areas in the house and provide solutions to rectify them. We ended up hiring him to install blown cellulose insulation in the attic and then added on some additional jobs that he suggested for the house including sealing off a drafty closet that was built into the knee wall, sealing the rim joist of the house in our basement and adding some insulation to the exterior walls of our family room. Michael even found an area in our basement that was not closed off, finding an open area that was hidden by some batt insulation leading to the Bilco door entry area and he was able to close that off and stop any cold air and drafts from coming into the house. He was even able to install new attic stairs for us- a job that he did beautifully. Michael was always available for questions and answered his phone every time I called. Even after the job was complete, he was still accessible for any question I had. I was very pleased with the pricing and dependability that HV Home Solutions offered and I will hire them again for any job needed in my house, including handy work. I am glad that I found them!
