They pulled up my existing driveway and rolled in new Item 4. They allowed it to sit long enough to firm up before returning to re-roll the low spots with more Item 4 and put down asphalt. They applied a generous layer of both for an amazing final product. They graded everything appropriately and were incredibly efficient. The only reason I left off a star is because of the communication. I had to call to find out when they were coming for the tear out and had to call again to get the date that they were coming back for asphalt. I was on their calendar but no one reached out to tell me dates. That was up to me. I would 100% recommend them for their work and efficiency.

They did a beautiful job sealcoating my driveway with all cracks carefully filled with hot tar. Since then, they bait-switched on me twice. First time they switched the oil sealer with hot tar filling to a latex sealer job. Later, Jr. told me that was his cousin and he's no longer there. Jr. said he would make it right for me if I would hire them again. But Jr. did the same thing to me this year. He sent another cousin over to do the job. This cousin, wearing another company's uniform, said no one told him that he needed to do hot tar crack filling. He got Jr. on the phone. When I confronted Jr. that not only we had agreed earlier about the sealcoating and hot tar filling and the price, but also his office confirmed all this with him, then reiterated to me item by item, which included hot tar filling of the cracks. Jr. said that it was the secretary's misunderstanding /miscommunication! So, the cousin did latex coating of the driveway and cracks. Besides, they didn't do a neat job either. Some part of the driveway edge was not seal coated and the grass on both sides of the driveway was black. Moreover, they tied the yellow ribbon on my fully loaded garbage can which I put outside for next morning's collection. I had to go out in the middle of the night to untie the ribbon and tied the ribbon to something else. I would not go back to them ever again, and would advise if you consider hire them, put things down in writing, don't trust what they say.

Was looking to have our liner cleaned, which had not been cleaned in several years. Two men showed…read moreup, took one quick look in the fireplace and decided that there was not way they could clean it, the liner needed to be replace, the insert needed to be cleaned and may not even work after that. Lectured us on how to dry wood for 5 minutes, that they would work up an estimate and that we also needed repointing on the chimney. They charged us $150.00 and left after about 15 minutes. After several days we received an estimate for a total of $22,300.00 to replace the liner, clean the insert and rebuild the fire place, with no credit for the $150.00 that we paid for zero work! Proceeded to have two other companies give estimate and both stated that the liner and insert could be cleaned for under $500.00. Hired one of them and cleaned the insert, the liner and now fireplace works great, like it is new. Not a good experience at all and would not recommend or ever use this company.

John J. Sala Construction Corp. was hired to reconstruct and upgrade the home of a 90 year old…read morewidow. This project touched major parts of the house, including all interior walls, hardwood floor, siding, deck and roof. Every single part of this project was left incomplete or damaged when John and his son Jay abandoned the project in April 2019. We had several contracts with them, for example for a new air conditioning system, replacing the basement floor, etc. When the work was nearing completion, John came and demanded more money, and we set up a payment schedule for the remainder of our contract and paid him for some additional work, removing the hot water heating system covers in all the rooms, so they could be replaced. Following a partial payment for this action, the company damaged the heating system and abandoned the project. This was a major project in the 100,000 range, for which we had paid all but the last 3,000 or so. The company did not file permits correctly or complete most of the work. We do not recommend.

On the first day of the job, Pete and his crew arrived at our property very early in the morning before my wife and I were awake and proceeded to move everything that was in proximity to the house out into the yard to give a berth for falling debris. The issue was we had expressed wanting to do this ourselves and many of the plants that were moved were damaged by being left out in the direct summer sun. I spoke to Pete to confirm that our garden would be protected and in no danger of being damaged by debris, and he said they would take the necessary measures to ensure it would be. No more than 5 minutes later, shingles were being launched off the roof directly into the garden, smashing and lacerating everything in their path. At the end of the job, there were many nails around the property as one would expect. The magnet did not do a sufficient job of picking them up, and my wife and I picked up several hundred by hand even after Pete and his team had returned to do two more sweeps with the magnet. A nail in the driveway also punctured the tire on my truck. After the job was "finished," we discovered that our bay windows wouldn't open because the trim had been placed too low and blocked their clearance, so the team had to come out again to fix this. The dumpster also left sizeable gauges in our lawn, which they backfilled with inexpensive, gravely dirt. All in all, we felt All Type did not exhibit the minimal care and respect for our property that we would expect and were more concerned with getting the job done quickly and moving on to the next. The finished product itself looks nice, so I felt two stars more appropriate than one.

I had a horrific experience start to finish Including men sitting on my roof drinking beer. Well, now I had a plumber try to find the source of a leak and it appears that my roof is leaking I don't know if this company is still in business, but it's no longer owned by Bruce Peters, so steer clear. Not sure what recourse I have.
