Outstanding provider of construction services. Over 1 million dollars invested in 2 homes using this company, over nine months of interaction. We were referred to Nurzia Construction from a neighbor who had a very positive experience with them. In researching the company I found them to have been named Hudson Valley Builder of the Year several years running, and had received numerous other accolades. My wife and I decided to use them for our first home renovation 6 years ago. They came in on time and on budget, and helped us steer our way through a tremendous number of small and large decisions. The end product was beautiful, and completed in time for us to bring our third baby home to a fresh new home. We later found out that our kitchen won an award for best renovation under $50,000. We sold that house for a profit and moved in to another fixer upper in an upscale neighborhood. This time, we embarked on a complete rebuild of 90% of the home, requiring us to move out for 6 months. We turned to N.C.C. again, and entrusted the bulk of our family wealth in their hands for this project. We were not disappointed. They were extremely responsive and professional throughout the build. Again, we came in on time and on budget, with the exception of a few more expensive options we decided to add on. Perhaps more importantly, We were able to move back in to our completed home by the time our children needed to start the school year. Being a family business, I felt Nurzia Construction was very respectful of our family's needs. Pete Nurzia, the president, remained involved and available throughout the project. There were personnel on staff to answer questions immediately on any given topic. There was a full time project manager on sight, daily. The design team was wonderful and thoughtful. They have a keen sense of current design trends. I felt their team to be especially good at introducing styles and finishes that I was unfamiliar with, but were able to create visualizations of entire rooms. This allowed us to commit to some more daring choices. The ultimate product, I feel, is stunning. I write this review now out of a tremendous sense of gratitude. Our real estate professional tells us our house has appreciated in value by 250k greater than our renovation budget. Our family has settled in to a dream home that has exceeded our expectations. We had our house built some 21 years ago. In those years we did little to update, maintain it....the kitchen was aging, the appliances needed to be repaired, the walls needed to be painted, the floors had settling "humps" and the rugs were old. We met Rhonda from Nurzia Construction at a Home Show in White Plains and we hit it off right away. They came to our house, listened to our thoughts, made suggestions and came back with an initial design that was incredible. They took into consideration our large family gatherings that happen throughout the year and our new lifestyle preference of a second Master Suite on the first floor. They were careful to explain and review all of our construction and finish costs before the project started. So, although the project ended up going above our budget, it was definitely worth it Our colonial home's entire first floor was remodeled.The living room is now a first floor bedroom, the half bath is a full bath with a beautiful walk in shower. The dining room is now closed off from the living room (now new bedroom) and the kitchen is enormous with two seven foot islands. The rugs are gone and replaced with beautiful hardwood flooring. Their tradesmen were incredible too, particularly their carpenters, tilers, flooring and plumbers. The job began in mid-June with the demolition and did take until mid-September to complete. Although it took this long, alot was done and it was painless. As there are always issues with a job of this magnitude, Nurzia was excellent in addressing and resolving the issues immediately. Our project manager Jim, who came on board from sheetrock to finish was always on top of the process and kept us in the loop. Communication was great. They were always thinking of us along the way. They spent the time with us from the beginning, through design, working with their suppliers for hardware, lighting, cabinets, paint, plumbing, tile, etc. Finding a company like Nurzia that executed this large project from the beginning to end with only minor issues along the way was a blessing. They are personable, caring, professional and a pleasure to work with. read more

I had water damage this past January, pipe busted during the cold weather in my base apartment. After contacting my insurance company who sent Servpro to open/air out walls and floors, and removed damaged property, I was introduced to Nurzia Construction. I was very impressed with their help in dealing with the insurance company, who wanted to pay less, they worked w/insurance claims agents, and we finally received a fair claim to cover renovation costs. In addition I asked Nurzia, to complete additional work (not covered under insurance) to upgrade insulation, floors, and walls. I worked with Rob, the project manager, and he was terrific to work with, returned calls, texted, came to the house frequently to check on work, and worked with me on change orders. The craftsmen who worked on the house were very neat, put in full day of work, were very friendly and hard working! I would use Nurzia again, very happy with their work! Thanks Rob! read more

Nurzia Construction is our "GO-TO" construction company. We have had both residential and commercial work completed (large and small) with Nurzia Construction over the past 5 years. All the work was done professionally and we could not be happier. They were not always the cheapest but after meeting the competition, it was obvious that Nurzia's price reflected the complete job. The other contractors seemed to be setting us up for change orders along the way.
