We recently had DBS remodel our kitchen, hall bathroom and master bathroom. The results were extraordinary -- a complete transformation in each room! Their workmanship is top-notch and each member of the crew, as well as the office staff, was professional, friendly and a pleasure to deal with. They were very committed to keeping us informed of what to expect that day and the upcoming days. They always made sure we knew which members of the crew would be coming on a given day, what time they planned to arrive each morning and would contact us if they were going to be delayed. Cleanliness was a high priority, whether it was covering floors and carpets with protective sheeting, installing dust barriers, running air filtration equipment, rearranging tools, boxes of tiles and other supplies to make our movement through the house/garage safer and easier or just cleaning up every day before they left -- something rarely seen with other contractors. They handily navigated the supply disruptions of the pandemic, juggling work items to always maintain forward progress. They were always concerned with our satisfaction, never hesitating to consult with us if an unexpected or not previously discussed design decision needed to be made (as opposed to other contractors who would just plow ahead so they can get to the next job). During the project we had requested some changes/additions including replacing our front entry door and the door from the garage to the mudroom. In every case they were happy to accommodate our requests. Major renovations like ours are no small feat and there are always inconveniences, but thanks to caliber of the whole team from DBS our overall experience was much better than I ever expected and the results were spectacular! read more

We had DBS Remodel install a new deck on our house, as well as installing new doors to the deck and a new front door. After hiring them for this project, we doubt we will ever hire anyone else. DBS Remodel had a very thorough and organized process from the initial phone through the final bill. We had to remove and replace an attached 2nd story screened porch and chose DBS Remodel after exploring other options. From the start we knew that we were dealing with a professional organization with our best interests in mind. Before the project commenced, and following a thorough inspection of the site, we were provided with a thorough job scope (estimate) and made aware of any potential problems that could arise during the demolition and build. DBS obtained the necessary permits and handled all of the required inspections. The project manager assigned to our project kept us up to date on all of the progress from their end. The lead carpenter consulted with us on a daily basis to ensure that everything was proceeding to our satisfaction. The team assigned to our project was on site daily from start to finish and any time a new member was involved they were formally introduced to us before they began to work. What we got at the completion exceeded even our most extreme expectations. I originally rated DBS Remodel very poorly because they are not able to take on repairs involved with insurance claims, which I was abruptly told when I called. Let me say that the reaction I got almost immediately was the most POSITIVE and HELPFUL response I've ever gotten from a company. As can be read in their response below, I received an apology and a very detailed explanation as to why they don't do insurance claims. Along with this came contact information and an offer to help in any way they could. And help they did! After I explained my situation, I received several phone & email communications from Alexis, including the contact information for several contractors they are familiar with, a link to the NARI (National Association of the Remodeling Industry) website where I might do some research, and a document to help homeowners find good repair services. All this within a few hours of the original phone call! Now I know why everyone has praised them and rated them so highly. There was little benefit to them to take the time to help me. I thank them for their incredible customer service, and only wish I could use them on my project. If anything comes up in the future, I most certainly will call them first. read more

Dbs did an extensive renovation for us that included a garage, Master bedroom with bathroom and office and also a new kitchen. ( 2023) From our first visit with Bob who sat down with us numerous times to go over all of the project details and answer all of our questions. The entire DBS team was so friendly and helpful anytime we needed them. Each crew that came to do work at our home was wonderful too. Kind and respectful of the fact that we were living in the home during the renovations. Our lead contractor Shane was outstanding. He paid attention to the details as if it were his own home. You can tell why they have stayed in business for so long, they know what they are doing and they prove it to you everyday and in the end result. We had a Trex deck with cable railing installed and a accessory apartment done in our home for my parents. All aspects of the company are there for you. You always had the support and knowledge of the office staff to help you through the many questions you have. The coordination of the work is true professionalism. They were at our house everyday during the project working hard, and at the end of the day they cleaned up as if they were never there. We built a completely new bathroom between the office room and the garage. Our project was not simple, and not cheap but we are absolutely happy with the result. From the start to the end, and through the long journey in between, the DBS team constantly held themselves to an unparalleled level of excellent. This company honest about the price, it's was not changed from the outset. Also they takes into account all the personal details and subtleties of the individual needs and wishes of the client, like color, shape, material and price. During the construction of the bathroom, I never saw garbage at the end of the day, contractors cleaned all after themselves. They also tried to do everything quietly enough and we could hear TV or read a book. This team is always working phones and emails, we could always get an answer to our question. DBS is great! They have done two major projects for us (finishing an unfinished attic area and a porch/deck combination). I have been impressed with the work they have done. How many contractors visit ahead of time to ask where they can place a dumpster, what time is best for them to show up, or wanting to meet your pets? They are great at working around your needs. In fact, when they did the attic work, they put down clothes from the doorway to the stairs first thing every morning and cleaned up completely every afternoon. The quality of their work is top notch (and I can be very particular). In fact, they just completed what I believe was their fourth project at our next door neighbors (starting with our recommendation), and have done multiple jobs for other friends. DBS did a fantastic job creating for us a finished basement with a new set of stairs, two separate rooms - a music room and a work-out room - storage space and an egress window to get it up to code. They were fast, actually fitting us in sooner than expected.
