This is after waiting for months, we agreed on a price that included my disabled veterans discount, I bought all the materials, and made plans to vacate my house. Absolutely unbelievable. Horrible experience and incredibly unprofessional. Breached our implied contract. UPDATE: I wrote this review after Doug cancelled on me as explained above. Doug then tried to make a deal where he would reschedule IF I took this review down. I said I would be happy to take the review down once he actually completes the job he said he would do. This is totally reasonable. At that point, he said no never mind I don't want to do it, which implies he had absolutely no intention of doing the work and was just trying to get me to take this review down. Do these photos look 85% complete? Last week, Cary breached our contract and walked away when I pushed to understand when the work would be completed after *months* of delays. He didn't pick up my phone calls and when he said he'd call back, he didn't. Cary is all lip service. He will tell you about the high quality work he does and then give you every excuse in the book about why he can't work or why the work is delayed (my favorite: his dog stole his glasses from his bedside table). He will quote his wife's great-grandmother saying, "people are incredible, they can see a fly sitting on someone's head but they can't see an elephant sitting on their own nose." Um, what? The amount of time and money I have wasted is infuriating. I trusted Cary and was patient with him and he took advantage of that. This is how he left my apartment, which previously had a fully functioning bathroom and kitchen. A totally destroyed mess with paint all over the new floors, rotting food in the fridge, and cigarette butts outside the entryway. Don't waste your time dealing with his mismanagement and poor communication. I have never felt so disrespected or violated in my life. Some of them came with rocket high price for my little 600 sqft project, some others came and visited but never bothered with a quote, some were a good match but were not available with my timeline. Wilfredo was nice and flexible to meet me during evening after work and evaluate my project. He is not that type of person who scares you with "professional terms". In fact, he doesn't talk much at all, he listened to what I wanted, got straight down to measurement, and provided verbal quote on the spot and followed with email formal quote. I scheduled my work a few days later and they showed up on time, again, without much talking, straight down to work. In the middle of the process I changed my mind on floor color, and he was able to accommodate to the change right away with a reasonable change in price which I agreed to. He went to buy the color I wanted and started coating. My project was completed in 1 day which is huge to me...I don't know how other flooring guys would have done it but I know there are guys telling me that he needed 5 days even with water based paint.
