I wanted my driveway completely ripped up and redone from the base up. Tom came out in a very…read moretimely manor to give me an estimate. He gave me a more-than-competitive quote that was good for 30 days with a scope that was beyond what I anticipated. I have very wet ground. They pulled up my existing driveway and rolled in new Item 4. They allowed it to sit long enough to firm up before returning to re-roll the low spots with more Item 4 and put down asphalt. They applied a generous layer of both for an amazing final product. They graded everything appropriately and were incredibly efficient. The only reason I left off a star is because of the communication. I had to call to find out when they were coming for the tear out and had to call again to get the date that they were coming back for asphalt. I was on their calendar but no one reached out to tell me dates. That was up to me. I would 100% recommend them for their work and efficiency.

I would not recommend them at all. Just like another customer said, the younger generation took…read moreover and the work/work ethics are not the same as years ago any more. 6 years ago, Tom Sr. was in charge. They did a beautiful job sealcoating my driveway with all cracks carefully filled with hot tar. Since then, they bait-switched on me twice. First time they switched the oil sealer with hot tar filling to a latex sealer job. Later, Jr. told me that was his cousin and he's no longer there. Jr. said he would make it right for me if I would hire them again. But Jr. did the same thing to me this year. He sent another cousin over to do the job. This cousin, wearing another company's uniform, said no one told him that he needed to do hot tar crack filling. He got Jr. on the phone. When I confronted Jr. that not only we had agreed earlier about the sealcoating and hot tar filling and the price, but also his office confirmed all this with him, then reiterated to me item by item, which included hot tar filling of the cracks. Jr. said that it was the secretary's misunderstanding /miscommunication! So, the cousin did latex coating of the driveway and cracks. Besides, they didn't do a neat job either. Some part of the driveway edge was not seal coated and the grass on both sides of the driveway was black. Moreover, they tied the yellow ribbon on my fully loaded garbage can which I put outside for next morning's collection. I had to go out in the middle of the night to untie the ribbon and tied the ribbon to something else. I would not go back to them ever again, and would advise if you consider hire them, put things down in writing, don't trust what they say.

Over the past several months I have used Troy Bennett (AKA Chancee…read moreEnterprises) on several projects, including clearing areas and applying landscape fabric and gravel, three separate roofing projects and replacement of fascia board and gutters. Each time that I called, Troy responded quickly and came, along with his wife Tabitha (who is actively involved in communications and helping the projects to go smoothly), to assess the project needs and subsequently provide a written estimate. I did not have to wait long to have any of my projects completed. Depending on the project, Troy completed the work himself (the landscaping projects) or delegated the work to the appropriate team. In all instances, the workers arrived on the scheduled dates and completed the projects professionally and in an extremely timely manner. Troy provided documentation of his insurance and took care of procuring all of the necessary permits that were needed for the roofing projects. I have found Troy to be reasonably priced and honest. In addition to the projects that I have had completed thus far, Chancee Enterprises is able to take care of just about any project, large or small related to home and property. I would not hesitate to call him again for future projects. It is a pleasure to work with people who are friendly, honest, responsive and get the job done.

They did a full renovation of our kitchen and living room, designed by Juliet Walker from Evolved Interiors of Woodstock. This was a large kitchen renovation project, with some complexities, a large island, 1 mirror ball, 2 dishwashers, 2 refrigerators, 3 sinks, plenty of cabinets, tile work & flooring. All excellent. We originally intended to renovate only the kitchen, but when I saw K.A. Builders quality work and Kevin's responsiveness, I felt comfortable to continue to the living room. We did not have the problems and aggravation like the stories I have heard about from other homeowners. I plan to use KA Builders in 2026 for other projects in my house. Michael was very responsive, he was fast to respond to my inquiry, come to provide and estimate and start the job. He was able to show me colder areas in the house and provide solutions to rectify them. We ended up hiring him to install blown cellulose insulation in the attic and then added on some additional jobs that he suggested for the house including sealing off a drafty closet that was built into the knee wall, sealing the rim joist of the house in our basement and adding some insulation to the exterior walls of our family room. Michael even found an area in our basement that was not closed off, finding an open area that was hidden by some batt insulation leading to the Bilco door entry area and he was able to close that off and stop any cold air and drafts from coming into the house. He was even able to install new attic stairs for us- a job that he did beautifully. Michael was always available for questions and answered his phone every time I called. Even after the job was complete, he was still accessible for any question I had. I was very pleased with the pricing and dependability that HV Home Solutions offered and I will hire them again for any job needed in my house, including handy work. I am glad that I found them!
