That first contact in their facility was not very professional, the office was disorganized and it felt like a reunion of good old boys, whose humor doesn't really resonate with everyone, rather than a professional place for business. But all of that was erased and the some, by the flexibility, professional follow-through, attention to details, timely drop off and pick up of materials, respect for my property from the delivery guys, and perks that they threw in the deal along the way. I have nothing against Home Depot, but in this case, I'm really glad I went with Abbe which turned out to be more flexible, more accommodating, at a very comparable price.

As of March 2026 the flooring started to separate so filed a claim to have repaired since manufacturer has 30 year guarantee .After 4 weeks of sending photos separation measurements speaking to 6 different associates i was told it's not a manufacture defect it's an installment issue .I used the contractor J&S flooring which Lowe's contracts out ( so I didn't use my owe) Today I was informed by Lowe's management Bill that J&S will not be repairing the floors since the installation warranty is only 2 years . So floors that are 2 years old are separating and cost over 3,000 to install .I would not buy again from Lowe's and not deal with any out side contractors anymore .I totally do not recommend J& S flooring either Lowe's 2790 Arthur Kill Road Staten Island. We have spent an extraordinary amount of money in both of these stores. We rarely need to make returns, but we just had a recent instance of having to return 5 bags of polymeric sand because we decided to have the job done by a contractor. I saved the receipt and my husband went to the store to return the sand. It was a VERY UNPLEASANT experience to learn that there is a 90 day window on returns (with receipt) and NO EXCEPTIONS ARE GRANTED FOR A RESELLABLE ITEM such as polymeric sand! Needless to say, we have made our LAST purchase at Lowes and I will be sharing this VERY NEGATIVE experience EVERYWHERE I can.
