Within four weeks, the software failed mid-cycle, leaving our clothes soaking wet and the machine completely unusable. The Hazlet store directed us to Maytag for service. The technician confirmed a replacement part is needed but is currently out of stock, with no clear repair timeline. In the meantime, our family of three (two working parents and a toddler) has now been without a working washer for three weeks and has spent approximately $500 sending out laundry just to manage basic household needs. Neither Lowe's nor Maytag has offered reimbursement, a temporary solution, or meaningful customer care. When we requested a replacement unit, we were told we would need to purchase a new one at full price because we were outside the 48-hour return window -- despite the appliance failing almost immediately after purchase. We are asking the management team at Lowe's Home Improvement - Hazlet to review this situation and contact us to provide a fair resolution. A $900 appliance should last longer than one month, and customers should not be left absorbing hundreds of dollars in additional costs when it doesn't.

With that being said, I called Lowes online customer service, was on with a representative for 1 hour and 20 minutes and I feel I was not receiving fair compensation(I was offered a $50 Lowes E card, great so I'll go into the store and spend double probably, about the time from work I lost, what about the fact my contractor needs to come back and cannot finish the job, what about the lost time on the phone that I cannot get back on my day off). I called again today and spoke to another representative who also was trying to just get me off the phone, and was again on the phone for an hour, but I was not going to give up so easy this time and I was on my way to the Lowes store when the representative told me to partner with the manager in the store that is when I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Ashely, the manager at the Holmdel Location. Ashely was kind, understanding and helped me resolve the situation. I was never going to shop at Lowes again before meeting Ashley, it is because of her that I will continue to patronize this establishment. Things happen, I get it, but it is how you are treated and the resolution that will always matter to me. I had never…read moreused this product before, but noticed there was a Sherwin Williams store near by where I live so I went to look at paint chips. With all the different finishes as well as different grades it was a bit overwhelming. The assistant manager Nuel was extremely helpful with choice of type of paint. Then I was on to color selection, another overwhelming task. It seems as there a hundreds of variations of the same color. I bought a few samples to paint the wall with to give me a frame of reference and when I came into the store and asked Nuel for something in the same tone, but slightly lighter, he was dead on! At first I thought it was more pricy than what I had used, but I was lucky and hit a sale! Always ask about if a sale is coming up and they will be more than happy to share that information with you! I am not a Sherwin-Williams customer! I hope Nuel is there for my next project!

The reason I believe it has become so much more difficult is because there are too many shades of colors. Such as the color white, one would be surprised the number of shades of white one can explore. Once you have decided to refresh your homes appearance with new colors, the next challenge is all the various retail stores to choose from and the choice of manufacture. Our retail paint store choice has always been Aboff's Paints, and our paint manufacturer Benjamin Moore. The service that we have received from Aboff's has always been outstanding. Our problem has always been choice of paint color, not paint manufacturer. Unfortunately, Benjamin Moore, has over 3,500 colors to choose from, which is incredible. Aboff's has been complimentary in most cases on our final choices, which does help a little bit.

When my painter saw the two gallons of paint, he immediately asked why the finish was in eggshell and that the walls would be super shiny. This is more for a bathroom. I called Aboff's and told them about the situation and asked if there was any way they could take it back as the paints totaled $98.00. Instead of apologizing about the inconvenience, the worker started raising his voice and said eggshell is his most popular finish and that's what he would use on his walls and that if I wanted a flat finish I should have said so. But I do not work at a paint store and do not have knowledge on this stuff, and that is why I specifically told them that it was for a bedroom and asked them what to get. Even if the finish is a personal choice, the way they spoke to me and handled the issue was horrible. Never going back.
