To exchange it for the same pump in working order, not blowing rods out of the body of the machine, I was told I had to pay the difference. Not the point. Her passive aggressive nature was completely uncalled for and unprofessional. I made sure to thank her over and over less than 3 feet away from her and it was only her and I. NO response at all. I apologized no response at all. Her tone was loud and her demeanor was wildly angry . I have been to this location in the past. This experience was so poor I hope harbor freight tools checks in on the representatives that are the faces of their corporation. Btw the woman at the Islin NJ location( younger curly hair pretty) needs a promotion, a gold star and raise. She is truly a breath of fresh air to walk in to every single time I shop that location. Within four weeks, the software failed mid-cycle, leaving our clothes soaking wet and the machine completely unusable. The Hazlet store directed us to Maytag for service. The technician confirmed a replacement part is needed but is currently out of stock, with no clear repair timeline. In the meantime, our family of three (two working parents and a toddler) has now been without a working washer for three weeks and has spent approximately $500 sending out laundry just to manage basic household needs. Neither Lowe's nor Maytag has offered reimbursement, a temporary solution, or meaningful customer care. When we requested a replacement unit, we were told we would need to purchase a new one at full price because we were outside the 48-hour return window -- despite the appliance failing almost immediately after purchase. We are asking the management team at Lowe's Home Improvement - Hazlet to review this situation and contact us to provide a fair resolution. I advised him of the model numbers of the appliances I was going to order, and everything was factored into the construction plan, done at times in person and at times over email (when I was too busy to drop in). Could have purchased the same cabinets and countertop at a Big Box store, but might have ended up with a 21 inch sink as requested, and not a 21 inch sink base, which resulted in an 18 inch sink - the difference was never explained. But the big problem was the contractor Lisa highly recommended as a "craftsman" - George Evans. He continuously made misrepresentations about timing (gross delays, even by contractor's standards). A number of important elements needed to be redone (e.g., wrong type/color of paint, counter top design and grout), because he did not follow specific written and verbal instructions, and could not focus on time management, details, and task completion. He persistently gave excuses and blamed others (subcontractors) for delays and errors; after a point, he lost credibility. We ended up accepting his mistakes as design compromises, just to get the job done and get George out of the house. Bottom Line: I CANNOT recommend Kitchen Krafter.
