In the meantime, our family of three (two working parents and a toddler) has now been without a working washer for three weeks and has spent approximately $500 sending out laundry just to manage basic household needs. Neither Lowe's nor Maytag has offered reimbursement, a temporary solution, or meaningful customer care. When we requested a replacement unit, we were told we would need to purchase a new one at full price because we were outside the 48-hour return window -- despite the appliance failing almost immediately after purchase. I was very unhappy when my vanity, that I purchased online came damaged. I work for a large furniture company and the two things I always tell customers is DO NOT ORDER ONLINE AND CHECK YOUR DELIVERY BEFORE THE DRIVERS LEAVE!! I did neither of those things. With that being said, I called Lowes online customer service, was on with a representative for 1 hour and 20 minutes and I feel I was not receiving fair compensation(I was offered a $50 Lowes E card, great so I'll go into the store and spend double probably, about the time from work I lost, what about the fact my contractor needs to come back and cannot finish the job, what about the lost time on the phone that I cannot get back on my day off). I called again today and spoke to another representative who also was trying to just get me off the phone, and was again on the phone for an hour, but I was not going to give up so easy this time and I was on my way to the Lowes store when the representative told me to partner with the manager in the store that is when I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Ashely, the manager at the Holmdel Location. Ashely was kind, understanding and helped me resolve the situation. I was never going to shop at Lowes again before meeting Ashley, it is because of her that I will continue to patronize this establishment. Things happen, I get it, but it is how you are treated and the resolution that will always matter to me. First time at this Lowe's in Holmdel. It is very nice and neat. I specifically went for wood and to have it cut. No one around except the cashier in lumber. I asked him about wood cutting and he called for someone over the loud speaker and then told me to wait by the wood cutting machine. I waited 8 minutes and no one came. As I was about to leave a young man asked me if I needed help as he saw me there waiting and no one around. I said. I was waiting for someone to cut wood for me. He said he'd do it for me. Since I left the measurements at home, he was patient as I was trying to explain what I wanted and I think I was a bit confusing in my explanation. He finally understood. He is going to make a call to the manufacturer this coming Monday to see if they can resolve the issue. That, to me, is fantastic customer service. I was in Lowe's this week to purchase a medicine cabinet. Unfortunately because of my own foolishness I did not get a receipt at the self checkout and I had paid in cash. When I got home shortly after and opened the box there was a chip in the top of the mirror. I figured I would call the store to see if they could help. John at the customer service desk went above and beyond to help me. I explained that I was there about 20 minutes before and what had happened. He said usually because I paid with cash and had no receipt there wasn't much to be done. When I told him what aisle I paid in he put me on hold. He came back a few minutes later and told me the receipt was in the garbage can. Wow! I couldn't believe he went through the trouble to do that for me. For the most part I can always find what I'm looking for. It's annoying that Lowes & Home Depot both carry different brands of paint. On this day we had to visit both stores: one for paint & the other for sealer. For this reason I take a star away. I did learn a lesson to google before I shop. before I start this lore I would like to say thank you to Tara who was working there, I hope you get a raise or quit and get a job at Home Depot. my first mistake was going to Lowe's (Holmdel)expecting to have a nice experience, I should of went to Home Depot. I went there looking to get a piece of plywood and have it cut. I got there at 6:00 and left with no plywood. I was sitting around waiting for the lumber to get off break at 6:15 so he could cut the plywood. long story short he never came and was missing for 2 hours until closing. Tara was a very kind employee and tried to help find the lumber. Anthony on the other hand was very rude and refused to help put the plywood in the car. I was unable to purchase it because it wouldn't fit, I had no help, AND there was no lumber to cut the wood. If there would have been a lumber, I would have been able to fit it. This is honestly so disappointing and such a disgrace that I couldn't get a piece of wood because the lumber decided to have a 2 hour vape break in the back. Well I have seen everything that can be bad with Customer Service Thanks Lowes. My wife and I went to order a new Washer and Dryer combo. Looking online Lowes seemed to have the best prices overall. So, the next day (Wednesday) we went the next day to our local Lowes store in Hazlet, NJ (store #1035). The sales lady spent about an hour with us looking at various models and explaining differences in the machines. We have a G.E. set which in about 7 years old and just basic models. We decided on a G.E. combo package with all the bells and whistles. We set a delivery date for Friday May 6th. That night (Wednesday) around 8 P.M. I get a phone call telling me they were coming Thursday between 9AM - 1PM (next Day) instead of Friday. So, we quickly tried to call the store back to say no, we must have it on Friday. However, this is where the customer service issue starts. Every time I called back, I get the computer answering machine, I tell them I want to speak to Deliveries, and it rings once and hangs up. After a half hour of this we gave up and decided to change our plans for Thursday. Thursday morning comes and we get a call from the store telling me that the units are on the way however, they forgot to load the installation kits for both the washer and dryer and that I could come pick them up are they could be delivered on Friday. I explained that I pay for installation, so I didn't call if they had to have another employee drive the over to the delivery install drivers are not. I would not accept the delivery of the units unless the job could be completed. He put me on hold (31mins) and then the phone goes dead. I called back and ask for the manager, get some customer service guy who puts me on hold and guess what after 15 minutes the phone goes dead. Attempted to call back four (4) times and after saying Manager the phone hangs up. I drove over to the store asked for the manager the customer service guy asks why? I tell him just get me the Manager who low and behold isn't on duty. So, I get the next best thing the ASM (assisted store manager) Shirley. I tell Shirley my story she goes to the back of the store to speak to deliveries, while I am waiting for her my wife calls me the delivery driver gets on telling me they have the install kits on the truck, that the store is all messed up, people had just quit that morning and they don't know what they are doing. So as not to be an ass I wait for Shirley to come back up who tells me the same thing. I tell her that I just got a call from home saying that information. I still want to speak with he Operations manager as I want to be compensated for all the problems I have experienced. I get home and the delivery driver says he can't install the washer as they do not do below grade installs. Also, the Dryer kit is a 5/8 pipe, and they only have a 1/2 inch hook up pipe. Meanwhile, my wife yells for me to come outside. They bought us a GE Washer and a LG dryer. At this point I tell them to get out we are refusing the mis-delivery and all the hook-up problems. Went to the store and was given a hard time about canceling the order. After some arguing they canceled my order and credited my card. Moral of story do not buy anything of from Lowes. read more

Working with Lowe's for our kitchen remodel has been a nightmare every step of the way. For a process that should have been done by April at most, I am now going on months of me and my pregnant wife not having a working kitchen thanks to their delays, damaged products, and employee errors. I have been charged for products multiple times, had deliveries cancelled and missed with no contact from the store, and have multiple times had to explain the layout and floor plan of my kitchen to the designer, only to have her put in the wrong items for order. That's not even to mention the complete lack of transparency and communication about any part of this process. I picked working with Lowes because I thought they would be professional and trustworthy. It becomes exceedingly clear with each day and new mistake that they are neither. I can't recommend to anyone reading this enough, go elsewhere for kitchen designs and remodels. Lowe's is not worth it. read more

I have been shopping at this Lowe's for 20 years. For decades it has been my go-to location for home supplies. Lately, it has gone entirely downhill. First it started with it being an impossible quest to find someone to help you. Then, their items were perpetually mis marked in terms of pricing (meaning the sticker or sign didn't match the price charged at the register.) Their customer service desk was always a weak spot, but has become an abomination in terms of accuracy of information, kindness, or even having someone available. The last thing to go was their cashiers. The past several times I've been there the only lane open was self-checkout. It's a shame. Looks like that will be my last trip there. I was looking for a refrigerator and was not pleased with the appliance dept. I asked the salesperson (Brian?) for assistance & asked the see various models by same manufacturer. He said that they didn't have any - but I located one right near the model I was looking at! In addition, I was concerned about the width with delivery- he said the doors couldn't come off, so it seemed as though my first choice was not possible. Worst "customer service" of any place in the world. I have been shopping at Lowe's religiously since being a home owner and today I finally quit. My wife always prefers HD (the lesser of the two evils) for last minute needs (when not shopping via Amazon) and today I have told her she was right - again - and she wins. The ladies at the counter are a joke and can't be bothered helping anyone. When you see an associate in the isle they avoid eye contact and scatter like cockroaches. Can't wait to solidify my abandonment of this type of "customer service" by canceling this card immediately after this review. I had purchased a grill and they said they'd assemble and deliver on Monday. It is now Saturday and no call no answer when I call to check up on the status. I have been wanting to write this review for a while. I am a contractor so I have been to many Home Depot and Lowe's locations in the past 16 years and this one is frustrating. The manager should be demoted to cart boy. Let's start with logistics. The entire south half the the building and parking lot are wasted by not utilizing the contractor area (no open registers or staff so everyone parks in the north section. The parking situation is atrocious. All of the close parking spot are marked with Handicapped (16 spots) carpool, veteran, pregnant etc. I may not have that list completely accurate but everything is labeled for specific types of drivers, very frustrating because all that parks in those spots are jerks from New York because nobody is monitoring the parking, ever! The inside of the store is okay. Clean,stocked up etc. Now everyone's favorite topic..time to pay...one maybe open registers and no self-pay section. Why is this Lowe's too cheap to staff the registers. Oh well,enjoy your current 2 star rating. You have a billion dollar location and hundred dollar strategy. read more

Really tired of working with Lowe's at this point. We've been working to have our kitchen repaired with them since February, and between losing our order twice, charging us three times, and delivering incomplete or damaged orders *twice*, the project now looks like it won't be complete until the end of June at the earliest. Did I mention I'm pregnant and due in August? If anything else goes wrong we may be without a kitchen with a newborn. To add insult to injury James in Customer Service said they would refund us the installation fee... $78, and corporate says the won't address any issues until "the work is completed". I ordered patio doors to be installed in March 2020. First they didn't ship all the parts, then had a difficult time getting the installer to come out. Every time they were to come out there was a different excuse. Once they did show up, there was more missing parts. They let the store know, store ordered the parts, they came back out and surprise, more missing parts. Door isn't flush, showed installer, he did a shotty job in caulking it. To date the door still isn't completed. Nobody can give me any more info or consideration. Store says install services, install services says it's the stores fault. Bottom line don't use them for installation and product. read more

Have been back several times since last summer, and had the wonderful experience of meeting Mike, an elderly gentleman with big ass hands. Helpful, kind, and patient are not enough to sum up our cosmonaut-level of conversation revolving around screws and washers. The service from the sales team and customer service team is absolutely amazing at the Lowe's in Holmdel. The delivery scheduling team and Anthony are absolutely horrible. Giving customers a delivery window of 7:30am -11:30 am and not delivering is one thing. BUT then to call the store and the 800 customer service # to be told they have no record of my order is another story. After a little digging a great customer service associate found my order and informed me that I was scheduled for 12noon - 4pm. Can someone in Management provide a training to the scheduling team on giving customers the correct information so they can communicate effectively with their own employers as to when they will be able to be at their own job or need to take an entire day off? Extremely unhappy with the lack of communication - no call to even let me know of the time change. This will be the last time I use Lowes to have anything delivered. This Lowe's is in it's own area. No other stores share the parking lot. I'm usually a Home Depot guy so I'm not familiar with Lowe's but the lay out seemed similar to Hone Depot or vice versa depending on your perspective. Aisles are by department, so plumbing, lighting, flooring, etc. the staff was helpful here and there seemed plenty of staff around. read more

If you want to do it yourself this is the place to go. They have all the materials that you need but the staff can be a little hard to find during the weekends. We went there looking for a trashcan because trash service was the next day. It had to be one of those trashcans that can be loaded by a machine. We went to the area where the other trashcans were and there was an empty spot. We asked an associate if there were more in the back and she gave the 'What you see if what you get' answer. Undeterred we asked someone else and they told us they were up in the high bay in the same isles. After 30 minutes and two separate lift machines we finally got our needed trashcan. read more

I found the item quickly. The problem occurred at the self checkout area. Of the four registers one was not functional. After I scanned my one item using my credit card, I then proceeded to wait for my paper receipt which never came out. The store attendant said that there is a glitch in the system and you need to wait two minutes before it outputs. FINALLY it seemed to be forever but, after about three minutes I got my receipt. read more
